Here is what i have noticed! when i turn on my car and the music starts to play the sub dones't kick in for a good 2-6seconds (i haven't done an official timing yet) as soon as i turn my car on though (turn the deck on i mean) the amps and fans all turn on, then the front stage first up right away and in a few seconds the sub will turn on. my question is why is this delay happening? did i do something wrong? i am currently using a relay for both my amps and fans so there shouldnt' be a problem. plus the amp is turning on right away so i dont' know what is up? maybe this is common i don't know so i thought i would ask! 1-15in NS 1- sae 1200d 4- fans 1- 100.4 2-batcap 20…

First off, I hooked up the power wire and ground wrong. Power wire in the ground slot, ground in power slot (yeah i fail hardcore). I had the speakers wires hooked up and the RCAs, and remote wire. Not sure if this caused the problem, but definitely a good possiblity i believe There's a hiss coming from my speakers when i have the volume all the way down, and i can faintly hear distortion when the speakers are playing. I regrounded the HU (a 9887), checked the ground on the amp, they're fine. I switched RCAs and the hiss/distortion was still there. I had some cheap RCAs that have a 1/8" jack on the other side, so i took those and hooked them up and hooked my Ipod dire…

Hey guys i need some more knowledge from the ever so wise ppl here on SSA! Here is my problem. current setup is: 1-15inch NS 1- sae1200d amp big 3 0/1 wire 1-100.4 and 2 batcap 2000's in the trunk! my problem is when the bass hits even at 1200rms my lights will dim it isn't a bad dimming but still a diming occurs and when the new saz 2000 arrives i am worried i will be running into a problem...The only remedy that i have heard to fix this is to get a cap? but if i get cap would i wire the cap before or after the batteries? and what kind a cap should i get? any ideas would help me out A LOT!!!! thanks for your help and advise Kenneth

Well I just received my SAX-125.2 not too long ago and WOW! This is a very nice amp with sweet sound clarity. I put it to my polkmomo 6x9's and it blows my overrated crunch ( I know, I know) out of the water. I just started getting back into car audio not too long ago and went cheap just to get started. Sundown for life now!!! Then you had to go and have this sale for July and u can bet I will take advantage. Before this month is over I will be ordering an SAX-100.4 and the 50.4 fo sho. Then the 4500d will ship (hopefully) in October...Christmas all year long for me!!! Hopefully during the build I can get some pics going but it be awhile. Thanks for the great service and…

Im about to purchase 2 of these amps Just was curious if they have an unregulated power supply. Also was wondering as to the general difference, if any, between the SAE series and the SAZ series as may upgrade to a single SAZ-3000D in the next year or so. Any helpful reviews of this amp would be awesome as well:D.

Alrighty down to business! Take note of my 2 pics below. The first pic shows a piece of mdf with 4 12volt fans in it to cool the amp which is under it. Notice the second pic where the amp is underneath the fans. I am doing this so i don't lost 100% of my trunk as i will be going back to school in september. I guess this is a makeshift amp rack! My question is should my fans be blowing onto the amp? Or sucking the hot air off of the amp? I assume blowing (cooling ) the amp but i thought i would double check! and also should i be using 4 or will 2 work just as well! the fans i am using are: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=259-150 amd yes i know my…

Question #1: I will be purchasing a Sax-125.2 within the next week, the speakers that will be playing on them are (8) Eminence Alpha-6A, four on each channel. The frequency is 85-6,000 Hz, so how would i go about setting the crossoverson the amp (confusing to me)? Do I set it at Full Pass, then change the HPF to a setting and then the LPF to a setting? Question #2: I will be purchasing a Sax-100.4 within the next week, the speakers playing on them will be (4) Eminence Alpha-6C, four on two channels(2 on each one); (4) Kicker KS20 tweeters, four on two channels(2 on each one). The frequency on Mids are 81-5,500 Hz, and the frequency on the tweeters are 4,500-21,000 Hz. So…

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/member-product-reviews/61735-sundown-sa-12-review.html "I have had this sub for a few days now and am finally getting a chance to really give it a good listening to, mainly on my commute to and from work and this evening i finally had some time to just sit in the car and play some random tracks. The car is a 2008 Scion xB, the sub is in the rear cargo area in a 2cu ft ported enclosure tuned to 29hz (I will be updating my build thread with that info as well) Sub is on the drivers side facing the hatch port is on the passenger side facing the wall which was recommended to me and works VERY well. Build quality is outstanding, great fit and…

This is the latest (and hopefully last) redux of my F-150. The equipment going in this time from front to back are a Pioneer AVH-P4000 DVD, Audiocontrol Epicenter, DQXS and Matrixes (x2), 10 Oxygen Audio Component Speakers (Air 83 set with a 6.5 midrange replacing the 8" woofer in the front doors and just a tweet and the 6.5 midrange for the rear), 2 Sundown Audio 100.4s driving the Mids and Highs, 2 Sundown Audio Nightshade 18s and 2 Sundown Audio 3000Ds breathing life into the subs. 1 Iraggi 300 amp alternator, Powermaster batts (1 2700 and 2 3100s) all Knukonceptz wiring. I will apologize for the lack of pictures my camera was lost and it contained about 2/3 of my buil…

Finally got all the pieces together and got the system intalled in my Mazda 3. Bought one of the refurbed 50.4's from db-r at the great price they were offering them at to serve as the power for my satellites. Using an old set of Boston Acoustic Pro 5.4's that I've had for years and never did get around to putting into a car for now. The power light adds a ghostly blue-white glow to the interior of my 3. So far, it sounds absolutely amazing.

We have been using a plastic domed pole plug for our cooling option for some time now. I decided to take a new route and these will be shipping as of orders placed today and beyond. They were made down the street here in Troutman, NC Solid aluminum plugs! The shape is a bit more aerodynamic than the old plug as well: Also, being aluminum, the plug itself will soak up some heat.
