about to build a box for a 99 s10 ext cab, single 15 nightshade. what size box should i build. i have designed a box right now that is... net air space 4.72ft3. port area 65.25 in2. @31.85 hz will this be ok?

do i have to go to a locar dealer i can i order them on the net??

Well here goes.... I have the option to either buy a 1993 s10 extcab or an astrovan. Kinda stuck on what to get. Now I have built both before for a couple guys in the area but this ones mine. Either way its going to get LOUD. Just want some ideas on which one?

The Z v.2 woofers are back in stock. There have been a few revisions made : 1) The top shorting ring has been removed -- but the internal ring was upgraded from aluminum to copper. 2) The coil windings changed from 4-layer flat aluminum to 4-layer round bifilar copper -- this lowers Fs a bit and I tested no loss in efficiency at lower power and a small gain at high power. Coil is a bit more robust than the aluminum was as well due to additional mass. Copper also has a lower thermal expansion to accommodate the Z v.2 tight gap. All in all it makes the driver more tolerant to abuse. --- We still have the 4-layer flat aluminum coils to match other subs on re-cones... also, t…

Anyone know what the average turn around time is for a recone?

This install is in a 2007 2500HD with every factory option available. (Pleather, Nav, DVD, Blows Stereo, etc) The customer simply wanted to add a little more bass so we threw in a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D and a pair of subs. Anyone who has done an install in one of these trucks will know how little space there is for anything so the 1000D and its small footprint is the perfect solution. I am not a fan of factory speakers by any stretch of the imagination but the Silverado factory "Blows" speakers aren't too bad. Enclosure by James Taylor.

Car is a 2000 Altima with 2 HD315's forward firing. Picked up 2 more 1500D's for a song, so I threw them in so both pairs are strapped at 3ohms. Box is 8 cubes tuned to 35Hz as it sounds best for the music I listen to, meaning anything but new rap. It's just a daily driver that sounds very nice, but can get pretty loud also. TL at the headrest I did a 147.1 @ 31Hz which I was told is decent for a trunk car. I was pretty happy as it's far from an SPL car as I run a decent active front stage and dial the subs back 99% of the time. Trying to see if I can get a response from Jacob from Sundown on here about sending my amp in for repair. i believe its pretty much screwed due to low voltage. It was ran off stock alt and stock batt with 1/0 ga ran and 1/3 big three done. i'm hoping to send it in and put a optima or kinetik up front and do the big three. but i cant get a response from jacob ive emailed a few times over the last two days to no avail but I know hes busy. First of all, hello my name is Matt, and after a bit of reading and so much awesome feedback on sundown audio amps, I want to try them out in my next build. I ask a lot of questions, but seem to answer a lot as well. Anyway, my question is this... how much power do these amps pull from the electrical system of a vehicle when under ~full load (1 ohm for 3000d, and others bridged) Just trying to figure out exactly what kind of electrical upgrades will be necessary. I was planning on switching to four nightshade 12's but the sa 12's are looking very attractive to me now. Jacob I saw you had four of them on two 3500d's how did they hold up. I have two 3000d's on four dd3512's right now and this is the third time I have had a motor shift and they are far away for warranty work vs sundown. Money isn't really an issue but I wanna get the most bang for my buck. The car is a daily driver. And I'm very careful with the gain nob. Is the output of the sa comparable to the 3512 sub

I was planning on a upgrade in the near future. i was thinking about running 2 Fi BL 15s fully loaded on eather a sundwn 2500 or a T2500.1bdcp? these two amps are sick.. i like both.. i like that there underrated and probly get somre in the 3000 or a little more... but i like both... im just undecided... can somone toss in there 2 cents on my topic?

i am trying to find a couple of voice coils that will fit my needs. either dual4 or daul2 ohms. 3 inch of course. and it needs to be able to soak up about 2000rms it is for a custom 3hp that has an extra half inch of magnet, and a gap that is machined a little larger than normal the sub is being built for daily use, i am trying to make it a low end beast, and 2000rms will be it's limit, because of the suspension i am using will only handle around 2000rms. i have the measurements in case that helps. top plate to bottoming out is 4.166" outer diameter of gap is 3.455" inner diameter of gap is 2.934" if you can help me i need two of them. the goal is to hav…

I would like to know exactly what it takes on voltage wise and battery wise to run my 3000ds at .5ohm daily to my 2 15" BTL's. Or what would be the best way for me to go to get excellent power from them 3000's. Any input would be great, strapping or wiring to .5ohm since when you factor in imp rise and all that. ok here it is i have a goliath that im sick of! allways at the shop. i have 2 15 FI audio fully loaded bl's with the daily option the box is 6 cubic ft vented at 33hrz 0.70 ohms at the amp a 200 amp alt, 3 yellow tops and 0 gauge althe way around the way i see it is i can get a 1500 watt.. and it should push these subs well,,, and if not.. ill buy a second 1500, and strap them to get more power, or i can get a 3000 watt.. and be in the same boat as i am now, relying on the one amp, and then if it breaks i got nothing until the repair is done but will the 1500 indeed push these subs alone, just one?…

so i have been asked a few times and have done my fair share of looking and asking.....what is the 1 ohm 2 ohm and 4 ohm (mainly 4 ohm) rating on the NS1? i cant and others cant seem to find these any where apart from its a beast. we compete USACI in my area and 3 of the guys in or close to the 160s really want to know this to see if they can be in the classes they want with this amp. I also have heard it will have 1 rating only 600 rms @ 4ohm which would be killer in USACI but whats the truth to this?
