Sundown Audio

Walled truck... wall will hold four 18s but only has two right now. Only using three 12v batteries at the moment so power is limited Video is processing as I post this... so click in a few minutes.

To start off, i have 3 sa 12's, they were on a saz 2k, and i had them in a 5.5 cube box 2 6" aeros, tuned to 35hz, Well that wasn't cutting it for me for the low's, So i had to go back to slot ports, i made a box to recommended size, 5.25 cubes for 3 sa 12's, tuned to 31 hz with 81.25 port area. It sounded great, i loved it, But thought the subs needed more power, so i got my saz 3500 back. Put it in, and the sound changed a lot. It is louder, but doesn't sound as clean now and not as aggressive on some songs it did with the saz 2k. It almost sounds like it lost its "clean, accurate" sound, if that makes any sense. Hey Jacob and the Sundown crew, I had a question that (due to my wording...) may have kept from yielding and useful topics in the searchbar. I have a Nightshade V1 12, and was wondering if it would be beneficial or even feasible to re-cone to a V2. Still on my learning curve about driver components and what does what, but is this a recommended idea? Would YOU do it? Didn't know if it would yield grand results, or if I should just go with a V1 re-cone. Thanks a million!

whats the smallest box a 15" nightshade can go in

A pair of saz1500d's strapped or a saz-3000d I am looking to upgrade from my ssd's to FI-q's in the near future and would like to know when the release date is for the 3000d as I need them for the comps I attend? and also any comps down there in NC anytime soon?

Setup 1998 Ford Explorer. 4 DD9515 D2, 12 Kinetik 2400, 1 Kinetik 1800(front bat), Missing Link, DC Power Alt, Kenwood KDC-X8120. 23Cu.Ft. Enclosure tuned @ 39Hz. Right now on burps starts at .4 dcr rolling the volume at note it rises to 1.12Ohms @ 49Hz. 71.5 volts, 63.7 amps, drops to 13.2volts dc. If my calculations are correct that would be 4554.55 watts. Current score 157.6 @ 49Hz outlaw.

alrgiht guys need some help i had 4 hc2400 battery going in the car. well a customer came in a bought all 4 for $350 a piece will two yellow tops support both the 2 sundown 3000ds until i can get 4 hc2400s again. i get them now but there out of stock.

What is the best way of purchasing a SAZ-1500d?

Hi- I was wondering if it would be more efficient on my electrical to run two 1500d's or one 3000d. I want to get as much efficiency with the current draw as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.

Didn't sustain any damage to the shop or anything inside the shop. That's the good news, the bad news is that the shop doesn't have power and may be a while before it does. The server is back up (it is not located at the shop) and we do have some battery backup power and a generator at the shop, problem is finding fuel for the generator, things are VERY hectic at any Store that has working gas pumps so we may or may not be able to get things rolling and powered up with the generator. It may be a while (several days or more) before Centerpointe Energy restores the power in the shops area, as we are 45 miles from Houston, and they are mainly focused on getting the powe…

Anybody have any experience with the Z15 sub? Thinking about pairing one 15 with an SAE-1200D or SAZ-1000D. Also, what would be better, the SAZ or SAE? The Nightshade might be a little overkill for my tastes so I figured the Z15 might be just what I was looking for. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ok I searched and couldn't find a thread about the 10" SD-1v2's can anyone give me a suggested enclosure size for a single one sealed? I will be running it with my SAE-1000 at 8ohms if I get it.. Thanks!! David

I got a pair of these and have a question about a box. I really want a ported box, but don't have the room. They are going in a 350Z and i still need trunk space. what do you think about a sealed box? What size would be ideal? Where should i set my ssf filter to on my saz-1500d? Using it to push a AQ hdc in a 3.5 cube box tuned to 38.

Hi all, New to this forum, veteran of Car Audio. I just purchased a new SAX50.4 to run my front stage active (6.5" Silver Flutes and Vifa Vifa NE19VTC ). I know next to nothing about the Sundown amplifiers, but like what I have read. I would like to have as much insight on this amplifier as possible. I mainly bought it for the flexible crossover section, and the good things I've read about it's quality and customer support. I have a RF Punch 200.2 I plant to run mono on a single eD 11kv2. I'm concerned about the two amplifiers being a good match. What kind of real power can I expect from the 50.4? I'm not looking for extreme volumes, but of course want good sound …
