I have a JVC KD-AHD59 HU, front components and a Polk 4ohm SVC sub. I am planning to run the front components on ch 1/2 and bridge the sub on ch 3/4. The HU has 4 preamp outputs, line out L/R for the fronts and L/R outputs for the sub. I'm confused by the L/R sub outputs. Can I run those 2 sub outputs into ch 3/4 inputs on the amp and bridge the amp outputs for the sub? Seems odd to me. Please advise. Kent

How much power would I get if I Bridged a SAX-100.4 @ 8ohms? Does the SAX-100.4 have Sanken Bi-Polar output devices?

Okay I just put it in my new 5000 and I have two amps... Sundown SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4. Well I have two sets of RCA cables going to the 100.4, one set going from the front preouts on the 5000 to channels 1 and 2, and the other set is going from the rear preouts on the 5000 to channels 3 and 4. For some reason I'm not getting any music out of the rears. I can hear a very faint "tv snow-screen" type of sound coming out when I have my ear up to one of the speakers, but that's it. Anyone know what's going on?

Hey all I currently have an SUV and the rear fill speakers which are Morel Tempo 6's have messed up x-overs. I've tried to call morel and it wasnt a help, I called local dealers and they werent a help either, it turns out I would have to buy a new set and I cant do that right now. So I was wondering if somebody can help me figure something out, should I just hook the mids and tweets up to the SAX directly and adjust things from the amp? you know x-over settings? I wouldnt really know what to set them at. My Headunit is a Kenwood DDX712 if that will help. Thanks

Now you can do just about anything with it! A little SAX-100.4 history: SAX-100.4 -- Original model SAX-100.4B -- Updated crossover ranges SAX-100.4C -- Upgraded from 50-amp to 70-amp power supply transistors SAX-100.4D -- This is the newest model ----- The following functionality will be had with the crossovers: ALL CHANNELS: Subsonic @ 10 Hz - 500 Hz (always on, can be used as the HPF for a band-pass setup in conjunction with the LPF) HPF @ 50 Hz - 500 Hz w/ x10 button (selectable 12dB / 24dB slope) LPF @ 50 Hz - 500 Hz w/ x10 button (selectable 12dB / 24dB slope) ----- So, what will you be able to do with the new model that you couldn't do before ? 1) You can bridge th…

I'm new to Sundown equipment, and haven't owned any before. I've read so many wonderful reviews and posts by Jacob, I'm confident that the product will exceed my expectations. However, I have concerns that this will be *too big* (if that's possible). I'm considering the SAX-100.4 for my daily driver (with future uses in mind, of course). This would run my entire system, stereo for front component set (probably high-passed @ 80-100hz), and bridged rear to the sub (low-passed @ 80-100hz). The sub I have probably would hit max excursion before full output of this amp, so gain would probably be set low on the bridged channel, and low on the fronts to match. My prior exp…

I bought a SAX-100.4 a long time ago and had it installed in my last car for about 1 year, and I had it sitting in my garage since then. I recently hooked it up into my current car and am having a strange problem. I am only running front speakers with a small sub eventually to come. So I ran the speaker cable from the front speakers to Channel 1 and 2. I then plugged Channel 1 and 2 RCA's into the Front Left-Right on my Alpine 9886 HU. When I listen to a song music only comes out the drivers side properly. I try plugging the RCA from Channel 1 into Channel 2 on the amp and no sound. Plug either RCA into channel 1 and sounds on the drivers side. Plug either into Ch…

The SAX-100.4 is now OUT OF STOCK pending the improved "D" revision in 10-12 weeks. We apologize for the long out of stock period but it was necessary to spend some time and energy to create the new D revision, it will be worth the wait! Details about the "D" Revision here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=19792

Ok, I will probably have a SAX-100.4 in my hands by Friday. As long as UPS does good work. What I'm wondering is, if I drop the amp lower then 2 ohm per channel, will it gain much more power? And if I drop it lower then 4 bridged, will that gain noticeably more power? I'm just wondering here.

http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/showthre...4123#post334123 Full Text: Well I just got done testing the 100x4 rms amplifier from Sundown, and I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. This amp showed up in a great looking box, so I opened it up and found all manuals and spec sheets intact. Everything looked just great, so I opened her up to take a look at the guts and take a couple of pics for you guys. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas073.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas079.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas082.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/din.../bananas072.jpg http://img.phot…

Just how good is the SQ of the SAX-100.4? It's good enough for the average Joe but is it good enough to drive a set of SEAS Lotus Reference 6.5" comps? I'll be running a Zapco DSP6-SL for my processor and the comps will be run active. I think 100W per driver is enough power, but am I going to be satisfied with the SQ of the amp?

I recently installed this amp with a pair of HAT Clarus 5.25 and I was wondering if the LPF on channels 3 and 4 are not functioning properly. I'm currently running active and I was attempting to bandpass my mids using the Subsonic and LPF. When I select LPF the mids produce that range I selected, however there is a buzzing sound coming from the mids and they sound slightly distorted. When I select HPF they play just fine. The Subsonic is set to 70HZ and the LPF is set to around 5500HZ. Thank you

I'm planning on running a pair of 100.4s to power my three-way front stage, one for tweeters and midrange, and one bridged for midbass duties. The drivers I've selected are all 8ohm. What kind of power should I expect from them running at 8ohm in this configuration?

Called my shipping company and they say I should have my pallets on Tuesday -- would be sooner but Holiday closings are delaying it a bit. So... we'll be shipping as many amps as we can next week, hope to have pre-orders cleared out by Friday next week.

Looking for some info. I'm running 2 CDT QES1020 10"s in a ported box with a SAX-1200d. When I connect 1 sub the thing freaking shakes. It vibrates my mirrors and just sounds amazing. However when I connect the 2nd one, the audio tapers off, it sounds scratchy and doesn't hit as hard. It also seems like its making a ton of port noise and less audio. I checked all my connections and my +'s and -'s are connected per the manual. I'm not bridging or anything, just + to + and - to - for the 2 speakers on the 2 outputs. Any advice on something else to check? I've also swapped speakers and output ports. Anytime I have 1 connected no matter the output port, or the sub it…
