I have no direct Sundown experience, I have read a lot of good things and I'm here to see what they have for my application. I have been researching amps for my newest upgrade from 10s to 12s and I wanted to get some suggestions. I have two 12" Cadence SE Solo Beast DR subs dual 2 ohm vc, 600 wrms / 1200 peak per sub. I would like to be at about 600@4ohms and 1200@2ohms if possible so that if I choose to I can run only one sub at a full 600wrms and potentially upgrade subs in the future. Sure I'd like to say that SQ is all I want but, not in the trunk, SPL is what a sub if for IMO. I would like to compare actual numbers, for example, I've considered only 13.6-13.8 volts …

Took the stupid JBL's out again since I'm still waiting patiently on my 18" and had a fun time today.....Did a 147.3 last weekend with them @ 2 ohm...decided to resin the box and drop it to 0.5ohm to see what she'd do....Heres the results.. Went to a show out in Frisco Texas with the car...took 1st place in my class and High SPL of the show....a ton of SQ cars there...A few guys were doing 149.2's and 148.9's.....I ousted them...with Sundown Power... 1 SAZ 3000D 2 12" JBL's Power Series in the back seat.. 3 DEKA 9A31's Gain - 0 Bass Boost - 0 A few pics... Hi, I just ordered a 50x4 and will be using this to drive my mids and tweets separately. It looks like to me the best way to do this is: - connect mids to 1/2, tweets to 3/4 - for channels 1/2, set it to HPF @3000 or similar - for channels 34, set it to LPF @3000 Then, for 1/2, set the subsonic filter the the crossover point with my sub. Is this a legit use of the subsonic filter? What is the x-over slope on the subsonic? My other amp is a 125.2 bridged driving a soundsplinter rli-8. Cheers!

Monday I ordered 2 of the SAZ 1500d amps called Massive and told em i hope they did'ent plan on selling a lot of amps in Dallas or Ft Worth Tx after Fu@king me around like that a Happy Customer tells 12 people an Un-Happy customer tells EVERYONE anyway after Much discussion with Djman, and James they agree with Jacob that the 2x 1500d's would be better in the long run over the 3000d for wireing options, as sometimes i use 2x 15" and the next time i will have 4x 15" subs !!! I am so freekin Stoked

First off, this doesn't seem very mono block to me (tis a two channel amp), but anyway... Could someone explain to me how you would wire up a single SVC sub? The diagram on page 5 shows bringing a line to both power outputs on the speaker positive connections, and no line to the negatives at all. This doesn't make any sense to me. Do you link the two negatives together, and run one positive to the speaker's positive, and the other positive to the speaker's negative?

Specs where provided from an old friend whos been doing SPL and bandpasses for a long time, just wanted to see some other sundown people input, maybe sean will poke his head in here. The specs I was given was 5.7cuft 1:1 50sqin of port area 8" long. After the suggested BP design I "tried" to mock one up in sketch up. I probably got this all wrong but here is a picture of it with some area's left out to view the measurements. I shortened the port based on 1 shared wall, the way I got the length of the port of 5.25" is that I calculated the box like a standard ported box with torres calc at 50sqin 8" long, got the resulted tuning, then changed it to 1 shared wall, accountin…

i was about to purchase 2 saz 3000d's when i realize the shipping weight was 2 pounds....does anyone know why this amp is only 1 pound....is that correct?

Lots of other projects took priority over more NS v.2 motors but they came back to the top this week -- so the new ETA for more motors is end of May. Of course I'd rather product not be out of stock this long but we invested alot in amps to get around the MOSFET shortage so the NS v.2 had to take a back seat for bit.

Well, my friend said he wants more boom for his stock ass Mini. Man the thing has a horrid stock stereo, and it's too complicated to get an aftermarket stereo. He wanted an 8" sub, or a 10", so I showed him the SA-8. Should I build a box with .65cuft after dicplacement at 32hz? He listens to variety of different genres. I plan on running an in-line-converter to the amp later on. Thanks!

Well I have most of my system in right now. Had to send my planar mid ranges back to good ol Parts Express so slapped together two little boxes with some quart 3 1/2's to play the mids in my system. Also blew my Fosgate 500a2 and swapped in an Orion 900.2 my boy was going to use (I bought him a refurbed SAE1000d from Db-r) So its been some ups and downs. I am running a Sundown SAZ1500D on a TC Sounds TC3000 15 DVC in a 3 1/2 cubic foot box @ 40 hertz. Here is the amp rack as I got it fitted in my car. Just for the record, am running a full active system with 8's in the door, my missing planar midranges and planar tweeters. Hope to do Sundown justice.

Ive been planning and install for over 2 years swapping out different components and subs and wiring and batteries and even cars. But I finally landed a good job and was making money I decided it was time to treat my self. Hi! I am from Norway and i am a newbie to this forum, i have ordred a SAZ3500D and this is going to replace a Phoenix Gold RSD1200.1 and will be pushing four 10" Phoenix Gold RSDc dual 4ohm. These 4 subs is giving a total of 2ohm so the Phoenix Gold is pushing max and give out approx 1400w. I bought the SAZ3500D to get some more power and some more headroom, i was hoping for about 2500W@2ohm +\- giving the subs about their rated RMS 600W each. I have a 200A alternator, the big 3 done with 0\1Gauge and 2 Maxxima 900 bluetop batteries. Is it possible to get up to 2500Watt or will the difference to my Phoenix Gold amp not be as big as i am hoping for? Thanx Bjornar

Is there anyway to achieve bandpass filtering???? For example if I am running a pair of MLI65's and I want to restrict them to frequencies between 70Hz-2.5kHz, is that possible with this amp or any other 4-channel? Thanks

I have an SAX50.4 bridged to a dual 4ohm sub. Tuesday at the end of my 3 hour commute the amp shut off. I thought I fried the speaker but 10 min after the amp shut off, it worked again. I had already stopped when I turned the stereo on again and the amp was hot to the touch. This is the same thing that happened with another small amp that I had but it was 2 channel bridged. Except it shut off after about 30-45 min. I have an SAX125.2 running two 6x9s right next to the 50.4 and it hasnt ever shut off since Ive had it. Doesnt get hot either. They are both screwed to a seperate piece of 3/4 mdf behind the back seat agaisnt the side of the box. Ive also had 2 other amps in t…
