Sundown Audio

So I am wanting to build a new box for my 3 sa10's mainly just to see what I can make these things do with different tunings and box volumes. They are pretty underpowered for now on an aq1200d at 1.33 ohms. My current box is 4 cubes net at 34hz. Just wondering if I should go down in volume or keep it the same? The main reason for building a new box is just for fun/practice I have the wood and time and want to try something different. I will build another new box when I get more power. Just a quick question on the Saz 3000d is it a MINIMUM for a 300 amp fuse or is it it MUST be a 300 amp fuse? Thanks, Julian

Hey guys! Well I finally got the amp from Mark today. Just thought I would take a bunch of pics and share them to everybody! The amp looks so sweet! I love it already even though it's not hooked up yet Some of the pictures came out a little blurry because I didn't use flash for most of them but its ok. Can't wait to get this baby hooked up!

People here in SC have never heard of Sundown Audio and after seeing my scores they ask about them at every show. The basic questions are where can I buy them and what all kind of products do they have. I try to explain as much as I can but it gets really time consuming doing that over and over. Its also tough without any visual references and specific information on hand. Do you have any type of brochure or product cards that I could hand out to people? We really need a dealer here in SC. That way I could direct people there. Right now all I know to do is send them to the website.

First time posting here, but have been reading up on Sundown for the past few months and have like everything I've read so far. So a month ago I purchased two brand new SAZ-3000Ds and they are strapped together to make a 6000W monster. Well I was trying to do some no load gain settings like I have done in the past on other amplifiers. I have three Powermaster D3100 batteries with 1/0AWG cable between each as well as 1/0AWG cable for Pos and Neg to each amplifier. Also I have double runs of 8AWG between each amp as well. I set all controls for both amps to zero connected my sub out RCA from my HU to the master amp and the BR out to the BR in of the slave amp. I place…

Okay so im going to buy a whole new system in a year or so but for the mean while i have 2 kicker CVT, a boss amplifier 1600 watts peak, a optima yellow top battery this is all in a 4 door F-150 2007 under the back seat except the batter, and i fell like its not loud, is there any way to improve, it i have the factory radio i dont know if that plays a factor i dont think so but if any body knows how to improve it please help me maby theres a way to port the box or something

Hi guys need your help here, would you recommend the SAZ 1000D or SAX 1200D to drive 1 Fi Q 12 Dual 2 ohms (1000 watts RMS) in a ported enclosure? I have a set of cd1e horns and need to tune this amplifier down. The horns are 40 watts each @ 8ohm. What should the output voltage look like from the amplifier? Does this sound right? E^2/R = W (W*R)^(1/2) (40*8)^(1/2) ~= 17.89 volts

Hi, I just ordered a 50x4 and will be using this to drive my mids and tweets separately. It looks like to me the best way to do this is: - connect mids to 1/2, tweets to 3/4 - for channels 1/2, set it to HPF @3000 or similar - for channels 34, set it to LPF @3000 Then, for 1/2, set the subsonic filter the the crossover point with my sub. Is this a legit use of the subsonic filter? What is the x-over slope on the subsonic? My other amp is a 125.2 bridged driving a soundsplinter rli-8. Cheers!

T'm trying to find the right amp for these im stuck between the 125.2 and the 100.4. can i run those passive? ive never set a front stage up so ive been trying to find the differences between passive and active, can anyone explain or give me a link to read on this? i only have a minor understanding but want to learn! i looked on the 12volt but couldnt find anything, maybe i just cant find the right stuff i want? i would prefer the easier setup because of my inexperience, so im thinking passive on a 125.2, would that work and sound good? the porblems i can think of for active is if i got the 100.4 would that give too much to the tweeters, or would i be able to tune it d…

It was delivered yesterday to my work. I opened it up today. It. is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Sure, it is used (I bought it from Jacob's resale link.), but in great condition. Comes with the 1 year warranty and the remote gain adjust. I can't wait to incorporate it into the system I am getting ready to install in my car. Jacob was fantastic to deal with. It not a big deal, but lately when i turn my remote knob for my amp down, it makes the sub pop a few times.. Is this an indication the knob is bad and i should buy a new one? Mike

Has anyone used a Nightshade B Stock??? Is it worth the defect for the price or is it better just to go new?

I currently have installed in my 2006 QX56 an saz-1200d and a sa-15 d2 in a ported enclosure 3.45 ft cubed tuned to 35 hz. I have 0 gauge running to the back the big 3 all in 0 gauge. I have an xspower d5100r up front and a d680 on the way for the back, gets here today. My stock bose actually over plays my current set up so probably going to leave it like it is until I have to upgrade as everything ties into the stereo. I found a deal I could not pass up on a saz-1500d v2 and now have to attempt figuring out how to make the right upgrade to make my SUV pound.
