I have 2 10's that handle 8000 rms burps a peice and need major powwer for burping only and i dont have much room the 1500d's wqill fit perfect I have 5 batteries and a 160 amp altternator i will be running these amps at this ohm load for competing only then return them too 2 ohms strapped for daily use i know it will void my warranty but can these amps do it

Picked up my new SAZ-3000D from my local dealer, Travis / High Decibel Audio in Delray Beach. Now all I gotta do is build like a crazed mofo !! I have it powering 2 speakers in 2 channel mode bridged. One speaker is on channel 1 (Positive) channel 2 (negative) One speaker is on channel 3 (Positive) channel 4 (negative) RCAs: One line to channel 1+3 (using Y-splitter) One line to channel 2+4 (using Y-splitter) It seems to be working fine, but I am unsure about RCA connection, Did I connect it right? From what I've read, if in bridged mode, then all RCAs need to be filled via Y-Splitters. If I have it hooked up as 1+2 and 3+4, then only 3+4 will play (this is coming from the MIDS input of the HU as I am using the 4 channel to power my mids in bridged mode)

What is the proper way to adjust the settings on my SUNDown 3000? I'm only adjusting it to be clear to my ears as of now Can someone explain each potentiometer setting? / What each one does? and how to adjust properly. Do I set different if I want "lower" or "higher" notes to come alive? Thanks in advance ~Ronrico

I entered my Passport in a small sound-off at Hooters today. I'm running 4 Elemental Design 13kv2 in a sealed downfire box off 2 sae-1000d strapped at 2 ohms. It only hit a 143.2 with a termlab mic, but considering the flex that a Passport has, and the intense heat out there, I can't complain too much. No one did anything spectacular. I think the highest reading was a 149.3 in a higher class than me. BTW, I have never built a stereo for competition purposes (including this one) and this was my first time to ever enter into a competition, so I was pretty stoked about it.

Sorry guys - backed up again. wierd ? i have a saz 1500d and was wondering, if i smell a woofer going up in smoke should i be shutting it down to prevent dmg to my amps ? or am i ok to just let it go up in smoke and push it harder untill it goes all the way . i know about the protection built into the amps but that doesn't allways mean that i'd be ok. if it is considered ok to smoke subs without dammaging the amp, could you safely burn sub after sub after sub and still be ok. would love to here jakes take on this too. i would never even consider this with any other amp, but these sundown amps are soooo darn tough that it dawned on me it might be posible. how about you guys at comps, when you blow sub…

hi guy i'm looking for a little help here i have a 94 eclipse running one nightshade 15 d1 and a saz 1500d i am trying to get this thing louder as i know it can with my current set up it does a 143.8 at the head rest and a 121 drive by the box that i have now is sub up port up at 4 cuft tuned at 40hz here is the demention for the box 24h 31w 15d it pretty much the max i can get in the hatch area as it hits the back glass if any one would be willing to help with an design it would be great as i can build them just not so good with the design and tuning part

Exceptional customer service! I bought 2 Sa-12's locally but forgot to take my DMM with me so kinda took a risk buying them.. One came out to be dual 4 ohm which the guy "didn't know about".. how much does a 3000d amp cost from sundown? didnt notice any prices on website or maybe i just missed them...

Im about to purchase 2 of these amps Just was curious if they have an unregulated power supply. Also was wondering as to the general difference, if any, between the SAE series and the SAZ series as may upgrade to a single SAZ-3000D in the next year or so. Any helpful reviews of this amp would be awesome as well:D.

i was wondering if u could help me. im changing cars and want to put a smaller box in it. right now i have 2 15 btls in a 8.5 cft box. i want to get the sa8's , 4 of em, would i be loosing a crap load of sound. i realize that they are 8s but will i hate myself for changing. im getting a magnum and im using a saz2000. they will be vented.

i got everything hooked up yesterday. 2 strapped 1500s on 2 bl loaded 18's. Camera is charging, will post pics later and maybe a couple videos. I liked how the 1 1500d made my bl 12 sound, but it sounds awesome with 2 strapped. May change to 2 3000d's later,

First of all, hello my name is Matt, and after a bit of reading and so much awesome feedback on sundown audio amps, I want to try them out in my next build. I ask a lot of questions, but seem to answer a lot as well. Anyway, my question is this... how much power do these amps pull from the electrical system of a vehicle when under ~full load (1 ohm for 3000d, and others bridged) Just trying to figure out exactly what kind of electrical upgrades will be necessary.
