what are you guys running off your sundown full range amps. should i do rear fill or not. i have to make some kicks for the front going to be 5.25 not sure what yet. i have a sax-100.4

Hey guys, Found out that at least some of the latest run of 1500s have the BR IN and BR OUT reversed. If you got one recently and plan to strap it I would check it out to see if you are affected. This has no effect on the regular inputs and is only important for strapping. This can be easily fixed DIY or you can actually just flip the cables to the opposite BR plug and just use it that way. If you want to fix them so that the labels on the side panel are correct this is what you do : * This one is correct - the cables go blue, black, black, green * This one is not correct - notice it goes green, black, black, blue * The plastic plug around the pins is backwards and the…

Over the last few days I was home and able to run a couple tests with my gear. I was pleasantly surprised to see these numbers when I clamped my pair of SAZ-1500Ds strapped at 2 ohms (1-per), car on with factory alt, off of a little 600CA battery: ~3,100WRMS I built my first attempt at a box strictly geared towards SPL, and after tinkering with it a bit worked up to a score of 146.0 dbdrag style, using these amps and two 12" RE SXs out of a saturn trunk. Just figured I'd share the results... I have big plans for this summer once I get a hold of a new battery and some time to build/test.

I stare at it for hours on end until my day will come to have this amp. I fantasize adding to the cart a few times a day lol but recently I notice it says basically out of stock. The year is quickly coming to an end and just want to know if there will be more to go around in the coming months? Again sorry if I missed my answer if its already up.

Who has tested how much power these will take? Will they hold ~1500 watts a piece for around 30 seconds

I have a 18 inch btl on a hifonics 2400 right now but I want to get a saz3500 for 2 15 btl later on but if I get the saz3500 now and put it on the 18 btl wired at 2ohms will the sub be ok?

Build this ABC box like 10 years ago for 2 JBL GTO 8's and I am curious if it will work with 2 1st Gen Sundown E8's 1st chamber .90 cubes 2nd chamber 1.8 cubes all 3 round ports are 10"x3" both subs will get around 400 watts each Thanks in advance

Any update on the shipment of SA-12s that were coming in???? Im really trying to get some new subwoofers soon and Ive had my eye on these as well as some fusion jonah lamu subs and am close on pulling the trigger....people say I should not get the fusions as they are almost 5 year old subwoofers and it would be better to get something completely brand new....If the SA-12s are any closer to going up for sale again then I will def hold off on purchase...

I need help with a box spec for my 2 Sundown Audio SA-15s. Its going into a Izusu Rodeo. My goal is to hit over 150db. The box needs to be 6 to 8 cubic feet, port tuned to 35hz and max width is 41". I looking for a box that i can use as a daily driver and for competitions. I would appreciate the help.

received a replacement 1200d over a month ago.its been installed about a month.i set the gains with dmm and never play my system hard usually only play to and from work.turned it on this morning,and no sound.so,i got out the car to check my amp,and noticed the power and protect lights are both on.haven't done much testing yet besides disconnecting the rca's and sub wires to find both lights still on....any suggestions as to where i should try troubleshooting this problems?thanks in advance

A buddy of mine asked me if I could find him a set of good 15's. I suggested Sundown's SA-15 and I know that they are a good driver for a good price. However, I'm wondering how much power you can run through them, if you feed them clean power. They would be running of a Hifonics HFI1500d which would either push 1000@ 2 ohms or 1500@ 1 ohms depending on if we had dual 2 or dual 4. I suggested that he also buy a better amp but wasnt sure what one. Any suggestions? How much power? *budget for amp is undefined, I'm not sure if he wants to buy a new amp right now.

While driving my amp turned off and inspecting it I found that all four fuses on the amp were blown. What all could have possibly caused this?

We got bored a few minutes after close and decided we were going to smoke a pair of mechanically damaged SA-8s -- well it turned out to be harder than we suspected to thermal these little guys... even the 2" coil SA-8 was able to out-last the Type-R 12" that we tested - I am pretty satisfied with that. Video comment : "Comes online at 69v/9.5A=655 watts so 325 each... crank it up a bit and land at 81.5v/10.5A=855 watts so ~427 each. All the way down at 3 minutes we are still at 82.6v/9.16A=756 watts... we keep playing nice until 5 full minutes elapsed at right around rated power levels then crank it up all the way to 115v/12.5A=1437 watts or 718 each !!! As you may know these trunks are huge but shaped stupid wierd.... Just counting the center portion of the trunk, internally i have 8.11 cubes possibly more. I think if i were to remove or alter the carpet padding in the trunk i could gain a little more space. No plans on competing, just having some fun with a rediculous street beater. Plan to run 5- 7k, 3 d3100s, d2400 up front. if i could possibly get a dual alt setup, which if i can getting amps at that is not an issue. All i listen to is rap. any other factors i may be missing, feel free to chime in. I've had no beat since 09.

I have two sundown audio sa-10s that i'm not to happy with. They're not getting very loud at all off a saz2500d and i think my box is to blame. I designed and built the enclosure myself, its suppose to be 2.5cubes after displacements tuned to 32hz but not sure how well that worked out. Im at the point where i'm considering selling the 10's and upgrading to 12's or a single 15 cause i'm frustrated with how they sound. I can try a new box but would hate to put the time and money into it if thats not the problem. Current box dimensions are 30x20x14 exterior and the port is 3x12.5x31. I noticed that the newest RD Audio class D internals are pretty well identical to Sundown stuff... what's the deal? First they were like atomic, and now Sundown? There seems to be a lot of this going on with amplifiers lately... What's your take on this Jacob?

I got a Saz-1000 in the wife's car runinng a Nightshade 15" V1 @ .05 . She does really well in Streetspl 600-1200 watt class (141.7 center of dash on music). There are a few people running the Aq-1200 and they give her a hard time and we where wondering if it would be a worth the extra money to go to the Sax-1200. We want to keep her in that class so we can't go with anything bigger then 1200 watts. And being a Team Sundown Member I'm not willing to put any else in her car but Sundown. Has anyone clamped the power of the 1200? Is there a a head to head test of the two?

hello i just picked up 2 sundown sd1v2 10 off another forum and im wondering if a 100.2 would give these good power. or if i should pick a up 1000d for them. and this will be mainly for street beating.
