Ran a box design through WinISD and wanted some input. This is for 4 E8 8inch subs. It is a three chambered enclosure, each outside enclosure is 1 cubic foot tuned to 70 hertz. The inside enclosure is 2 cubic feet and is tuned to 40 hertz. The woofers will be mounted magnet end in the 1 cubic foot side two woofers per the 1 cubic foot side firing into the 2 cubic foot portion. This is for my kid who listens to mostly rap. Powering this will be a SAE1000d. A subsonic filter will be used to keep over excursion down. The graph on WinISD looks impressive in an open air environment. Any reason to not utilise this box design?

Alright. I have the amps installed in my car. I have the Rca's wired properly for strapping. Now the speaker connections. Positive speaker wire is going to my Master amp. Negative wire is going to my slave amp. Do I have them wired properly or am I going to have to wire each speaker to each output on the amp? It just isn't getting loud. I have the output voltage set at 77.5 volts A/C. Could someone show me some pictures of how to wire 2 dual 2 ohm subs up in the strapped configuration? I know…

How safe is it if I was to run pair of BTL15D2's @ 0.5ohm with music? I'm only able to buy one amp at the moment. I will be getting another as soon as I can, then I'll strap them @ 2ohm I dont know much about calculating imp. rise or anything like that, nor do I have the tools. This is honestly the largest system that I've ever done. thanks. I will be doing electrical as well support the planned power. H/O alt if and when I can find one 3 or 4 Kinetik hc2000

Hello. Some of you may know me from other forums. I just thought i would stop by and show off some sundown power! Ive been running Sundown in my Comp/Project vehicle for around 7 months. I compete regularly for the most part locally. The vehicle has now been retired due to the fact that I cant damage it anymore then it already has been. lol Im going to trade it back in for something new. Until then i have a few vehicles that im looking at to make a new project with. I will compete with the vehicle as well. So time is critical. well i use going to go with aq hdc3 18 but i love the way the z 15 look and i love sundown products. here the problem i dont know which set up would be better. i going to buy my subs on wensday and i dont know if u should get 2 z15's d4 and run them at one ohm to a saz3000d or i should i get 2 z15's d2 and run the at one ohm to each saz 1500d or should i just get another t10001bd and run each z15 d2 at one ohm to each t10001bd?

ok heres my question (sorry if i seem like an idiot lol), I own a saz-1500d, and im planning on going with a single AQ HDC3 15" but what has had me stumped is if to buy a dual 1 ohm and wire the sub in series and then bridge it to the amp, or would it be a dual 2 ohm wired in parallel and connected to one of the inputs and not bridged, because what im trying to achieve is to have the amp play at 1 ohm at 1500 rms. the reason why i ask is because on the forum here i saw a a post that says the amp is not bridgeable, because it is a 1 ohm mono, but then on the manual the diagram appears as if it is bridgeable if going with a single sub setup, im obviously reading one of th…

I need some help designing the best box possible for daily. I want the box to be tuned about 33. And this is the space I have to work with - Width - 38, Height 13, Depth 36. I sill did not order the sub yet as I still am not sure on what sub to get. My plans are a 15" nightshade, a sundown 2500d (already own), dc alternator all going in a 2003 Mercury Sable. Any comments or suggestions on my future build would be appreciated. Thanks

I noticed that the newest RD Audio class D internals are pretty well identical to Sundown stuff... what's the deal? First they were like atomic, and now Sundown? There seems to be a lot of this going on with amplifiers lately... What's your take on this Jacob?

Well guys i decided since im making some money, which is pretty good for 16, im planning my electrical now so i'm prepared in a few weeks. Right now i currently have a sae-1000D and 100.4 bridged on a 3 way set of CDT HD's and a Fi Q. However, 2 weeks ago i purchased another Sae-1000D Proto #2 i believe since i got #1, and i plan on buying a 100.2 in a week or two to go active 3 way on the CDT's. However situation is that im not sure how my electrical will hold up. So im on my way to building a new box, right now im using 2 6" aero ports, in a 5.5 cube box for 3 sa 12's. But i want to tune lower and cant with the aeros, so im going to have to go back to slot port. Now my question is what is the pros and cons of small vs big ports, i know people recommend 12-16 per cube, but thats pretty broad. So what would you gain or loose from having a port at 12 per cube, or 16 per cube?? or in the middle. Does the bass get sloppier with a bigger port? (this is all for music by the way)

Recently my 1200D has been going into protect after about 30 seconds of being on and I have no idea what's causing it. I always let me car run for a few minutes before turning my amps on (they are both on switches). Two days ago I went and bought all new brass screws, bolts, and washers and re-did my grounds for both the Sundown and my Pheonix Gold amp. I sanded the paint off the area and tightened them down. Yesterday I pulled the Sundown out of my car and opened it up to make sure nothing burned up. Visually, everything looks perfect and my fuses are intact. I guess the problem started when I got my component set but I don't see how that could be the issue. I've checked…

I built a sealed box for my E8V2 using the recommend cubic feet from the website of .25 and the sub just sounds restricted. Now I am gonna build a vented enclosure for the sub but lost on the port size. Every calculator that I use shows a 12" (w) x 2" (h) port being around 85" (L) tuned at 35hz with a volume of .6Vb. That just does not sound right to me, so where am i going wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys i am going to make a template for my sub box so i can pre drill some holes on the mounting board of my box so that way i can just toss the sub in and then use the t-nuts and screw it in. I want to pre-drill due to the style of my box and it will be very tricky to drill with the sub being there. please take note of how the subs will mount and they will be mounted inverted. at any rate i am going to make a cutout out of some steel that way i can position everything before i get the subs back from re-cone and just drop them in and away i go.
