Ok, I have a Sundown Audio 1500d and a Massive Audio DMX 12 with quad 1's. The box is as follows 2.5 cubes tuned to 40 hz, both sub and port fire up. This is in a 06 Scion xB. Here's my questions? 1) Would it be louder if I went with sub up port back? 2) Other then big 3 what else will get me more db's? I am really thinking of changing to a nightshade 12. Thank you in advance for replies. Also, wanted to throw out this, ever since I got my Sundown Amp all my buddies are slowly switching to sundown. Great amps.

Hey Guys, Just wondering, how do you know if you are clipping your amp? I thought it was if your voltage drops to low. If it does have something to do about voltage, where can you get the electronic volt meters I've seen in ppl's car?

This year MECA Car Audio had a lot of problems on manufactures backing out on the Trophies for finals. With one call to Jacob and after talking with him on the problem. Jacob was willing to help. With not going into details. We worked out the details on how to save the trophie package for Street Classes. I just want to Thank Jacob on behalf of all Team Sundown Competitors and Sundown Consumers that Show in MECA. You couldn't ask for a better Company that stands by his Competitors than the way Jacob Fuller Does!!! I Thank You,My Team Thank's You and The MECA Family Thank's You …

great. i have 2 8ohm mids in my car temporary for now until my door panels are done, and ive had numerous amps hooked to those same 2 mids with the same HU settings and all, and on any amp ive used (RF Punch amps, MTX, etc) the sundown 100.2 sounds the absolute cleanest, HU can be turned up alot higher (pioneer 880, usually keep it at 50 out of 62 max) and now, like 55-58 doesnt even distort when before 50 was the most i could go. great amp overall, im really glad i went with Sundown. :bigclap:

I was wondering how powerful are the sundown 3000D amps? I have a 91 Acura Integra, and im working on a system with a Fi BTL 18" tuned to 33hz... I was gonna get the RF T20001bd to run it, but then I ran across sundown, and honestly, I don't know too much about them, but im reading good things..... So now im in a toss up here.... I know the T series fosgates are under rated, but I need peoples honest opinion here.... do you think I could get a lil more out of the 3000D than the RF T2K? How well you think that 3000d will move that BTL? I F'N hate decisions!!! haha Help me decide please, Thanks.... John

Went to a USACi comp in Marrerro, LA last night. Took 1st place with a 147.9db @38Hz Legal all sealed up on the dash. No camera with me so i'll post pics of the plaque when I get back home later tonight. I feel as if I could've gotten really close to the 150 mark but the amps kept going into protection. I got two SAZ-3000d strapped together on (4) Phoenix Gold Ti12d Elite subs. When I put a meter on my terminals I get a DC Resistance of 1.7 ~ 2.0 ohms which doesn't make any sence because the subs are dual 4ohms. Not sure why I sometimes get a resistance less than 2ohms. Each sub is series for an 8ohm load then all paralleled to one set of terminals which should be a …

Every time i start up my car, the sundown starts up but then goes straight into protect. I have the SAZ3K. I used an additional head unit to make sure it wasn't the signal. Without the RCAs plugged in and without the speaker wires plugged in it still did this. Here is a picture of the only thing i could find WRONG internally in the amp. Its also really loose when you go to touch it. Thanks for the help, Curt

  21. I ran into wat i think is a big problem today. here is wat my system consists of: one 15" audiopulse sub on a Sundown 3000D, and an Alpine PDX-5 with goldwood speakers I was drivin down the road, took a sharp turn and all the sudden my sub made a very loud thump sound and then the amp shut off. So i turned everythin off until i got where i was goin and checked it out. I popped the trunk to check my circuit breaker and it was still closed. then i noticed one of the batteries in my trunk had moved. What im pretty sure happened was when i took the turn, the batt tilted and the terminal on the negative post hit both the pos and neg bolts attatching my speaker wire to the sub …

I like these subs and they were tough to beat for the price. (Light, Loud, Clean, Effecient) I didn't have ONE unhappy SD-1 customer. What was everyone's opinion on these subs? Look. An unofficial 130dB off a "100" watt amp. Enclosure by James Taylor.
