I am wondering about something I hear alot of people talking about and want to know what it is. What is the big three? I have a Sundown audio 1500.1, to a single 12, sub box tuned to 40 hz. Electrical setup is as follows, for right now at least, stock battery up front. With two runs of 4 guage back to kinetik 800, then to a 3 farad cap, then to fuse block and lastly amp. Ground wire on second battery, and capacitor are 0 guage. I know I need to upgrade to all 0 guage, that is coming. I ran outta money, but I am still running at 12.7 at full tilt. And that is at the amp. I am just looking for more db's anywhere I can get them. Any help is and will be greatly app…

This is a simple little system but it sounds good. For those who haven't used a 100.2 yet, the power is incredible. This amp is way underrated and works great to drive subs. I am not into installing tv's all over the place but the owner of this truck had reason. His family takes road trips so the headrest monitors are for his two kids and the visor monitor was installed for his wife since the bypass for the Z1 was only good for 500 miles at the time. All factory speaker locations were retained and the headrests have covers so the truck looks stock from the outside with the exception of the Z1.

I bought 2 Sundown amps. One sax-100.2 and one sae-1200D. The 1st problem affects both amplifiers. Neither of the remote gain controls work. The blue led lights up on both but when you turn the dial it does nothing. Just so it's clear I set the gains on the amps 1st with a dmm then if I try and adjust it further in my cab with the remote gains nothing happens. The 2nd problem is with the sae-1200d. This amp is barely putting out any power at all. I have triple checked all my wiring and even hooked up an Infinity 600 watt amp to the subs I'm using to see if it does the same thing but it gets plenty loud with the infinity. If it makes a difference I have 2 10" dual 4ohms PG…

which way should i go. i have 16 mids for the MINI. all 8 ohm. 8 per door. they will be wired in pairs of 4, in parallel, making each set of 4 mids a 2 ohm load. so its either 2 100.2s, with 8 mids per amp (basically 1 amp per door) running each channel at 2 ohms or 1 100.4, running 4 mids per channel, at 2 ohms. the 100.2 is rated 200 x 2 @ 2 ohms the 100.4 is rated 160 x 2 @ 2 ohms i know the 100.2 is supposedly a little more underrated than the 100.4 is, but i found a good deal (IMO) on 2 100.2s, bnib for 370 shipped. what do you guys think?

Would a 1000D properly power two RockFord Fosgate 15" P3's without straining too much or would getting the 1500D be the better bet? Also, any suggestions on a dual 15" setup for less than $700 are welcomed. Setup is for a friend. Will be going in a Crown Vic.

The Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 is a great amp to run both your front stage and sub stage. The amp has plenty of power for just about any component set and when bridged it is capable of beating the hell out of a pair of subs. In this setup the 100.4 is running a pair of Boston pro components and G110 subs like it is its job. I normally do not wire bass knobs but since we retained the factory head unit it wasn't such a bad idea.

Hey everyone, new member here. I was reading up on sundown amps and they seem extremely fantastic for the money. Well anyways, I picked up a set of boston pro60 components. They are rated at 125w rms @ 3 ohm (yes, wtf is it 3 ohm?) Now the problem is that I want to get a nice clean amp to power those components. I dont want to spend outrageous amounts of money either since I've gone WAY over budget already (blew a ton of cash on a p800prs head unit) Now I was thinking about the 100.2 but my concern is that there is not enough power. Also for the ratings I've seen, it goes from 4 to 2 ohm. Should I just use the number in the middle of the two ratings to find out what 3 ohm…

  17. This install is in a 2007 2500HD with every factory option available. (Pleather, Nav, DVD, Blows Stereo, etc) The customer simply wanted to add a little more bass so we threw in a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D and a pair of subs. Anyone who has done an install in one of these trucks will know how little space there is for anything so the 1000D and its small footprint is the perfect solution. I am not a fan of factory speakers by any stretch of the imagination but the Silverado factory "Blows" speakers aren't too bad. Enclosure by James Taylor.

Greetings Folks, I'm in the process of upgrading my setup to 2 RE Audio SX15's and I'm on the verge of crossing over into Sundown's territory by powering them with a SAZ-3000D. The amp will see a 2ohm load. I have no intentions of competing but I want to shake things up whenever I get the urge (usually when cops aren't present). Would this be an ideal amp for these subs as a daily driver? The subs are going in a 8 cube CRX box tuned to 34hz. The vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Thanks to all for your views/replies!!

As of today i finally have 99% of my wiring finished for my second externally regulated alt. Im going to get a volt meter of some sort so i know exactly where I'm sitting at voltage wise at all times (just in case the knob is bumped or any other unforseen issues) So for the next week or so im going to have a very small fuse on both the alt wire and amp wires just to be extra safe. I was just wondering how many of you guys are running the 3000d at 16v (18.8)? and if there's any thing i should know? I'm trying to be as cautious as possible to make sure nothing goes wrong but i thought id ask for advice from the experts
