Just wondering if anyone has run or seen a SAE-1000D at .5ohms? I'm thinking of doing this but not quite sure yet. any opinions?

i'm currently looking at getting new Amps for my setup i'm running 4 RF T-2 15s, 2 250 amp alts. 10 batteries at 16 volts. I'm thinking about adding 3rd Alt if need be I have the 3rd one on hand. i know that sundown has 3000watt doing well over the rated output at 14.4 volts. I have heard about a new amp that is coming out and i'm very interested in running the Amps but i don't want to over load the subs to much(LOL) yes i do....... this is all installed in a 93 Jeep 4X4 Lardeo.

put it in this morning... spent the rest of day driving around enjoying it... first, let me state the system, 1/0 knu-con, in engine and to the back 230a, alt 110a idle? yellow top up front, kinetik 2400hc back 300a circuit breaker front, and back. stinger volt meter. with gain @ 1/2 on the amp, no bass boost, 1/2, or less boost from the alpine deck, at volume 20, 35 is max... one song popped the breaker. voltage held good, well not at idle, but did drop just below 12 at times when pushing it hard. the orion 2500 put up 147.2 when it popped the breaker, put I was pushing it way harder. Hey all, our Finals event was today and boy was there some heated competition. Andrew AKA Andrew2944r had his beautiful truck there. 3 DC LVL 5 18's in a wall, with 3 Sundown SAZ 3K's and 7 Kinetiks with Dual Alts from DC Power. Did a 157.8 at 55Hz...destroying his competition. Another member, Jordan had his Black Neon there with a single SAZ 1500D on 1 DD 9515F doing 149.7's at 59Hz. I myself had my car there, 2 12" Soundstream SPLX 12's on 2 SAZ 3K's...I had radio and electrical problems and crap all day...stumbled and clipped my way to a 148.9 ended up taking my class anyways. Every message I sent today was rejected by my server... just got all of the errors all at once at the end of the day. Something is up and they seem to think I sent over 100 e-mails in one hour... so until I can figure out what is going on it may take me longer than normal to reply. I can still RECEIVE emails no problem, though, so you can still send me a message... but this problem seems to have made email not work on my Blackberry as well and I have to log into my Hotmail to send any messages... so response time will be up. so after playing it for 15 mins it makes a high pitch noise and then shuts off noise is not coming from subs you can turn volume down to zero and still hear it . have good eletrical to it 13.8 volts big three done with second batery ohm level is 1.3 checked grounds and removed subs from box all connections good only had it in car for a month now, i put my old amp in and works fine

Jacob or whomever can answer, The dustcap came off one of the E8's my boy is using. What glue should be used to fix it? How long should it dry? As an added note, the box for my boy is finally built. Going to paint it this spring but he is going to use it untill then. It has been hooked up @ 4 ohms for a couple of weeks. We are going to hook it up @ 1 ohm today. I am going to video his first impressions of it.

If I use the first four channels for a front stage (woofer/tweets), would I be able to run a pair of coaxial's for the "5th and 6th" channels in the rear doors. The coax's will be 4 ohm models.

I am wondering about something I hear alot of people talking about and want to know what it is. What is the big three? I have a Sundown audio 1500.1, to a single 12, sub box tuned to 40 hz. Electrical setup is as follows, for right now at least, stock battery up front. With two runs of 4 guage back to kinetik 800, then to a 3 farad cap, then to fuse block and lastly amp. Ground wire on second battery, and capacitor are 0 guage. I know I need to upgrade to all 0 guage, that is coming. I ran outta money, but I am still running at 12.7 at full tilt. And that is at the amp. I am just looking for more db's anywhere I can get them. Any help is and will be greatly app…

Up for grabs is a pair of 10" Sundown SD-1 subwoofers. I used these briefly for testing purposes, they will come with full warranty as they are very close to new. They do have speaker wire soldered to the terminals, though, pretend it's "direct connect" like DD Price is $125 shipped for the pair in the continental USA. These are GREAT with an SAX-100.2 to power them. I am running a pair of 10" SD-1s in my 2002 Civic if that tells you what I think about them

I purchased a 1200D a while back, strapped it up worked great for a long while on the Xcon but as of recent it started cutting out. Power was still on, wasnt in protect ever. It would stay on the majority of the day and eventually at night it would work for 30 secs after i turned my car on then stop playing. Itd be fine for a few days, then happen again..but now it hasnt worked in a week. Any suggestions on what to look for? I switched the rca's and it didnt change anything. Any input would be great.

Guys, Need some advice on decidng on an amp. I buy audio equipment like once every 5 years so im trying to make an educated decision on this the first time. Ive done my homework to this point so thats why im going with Sundown. Vehicle is a Tundra. I had my sae1200 for quite some time. Then got an SAZ1500, planned on getting a dc lvl 4xl, but got a great price on a normal lvl 4, so I went with that and sold the SAZ1500 and started using my sae1200 again. I've been trying to set the gains with my dmm, But I've run into a problem. At first I thought it might be the headunit, but I switched headunits and the problem still persists. When I set my gains with the DMM and the subs not connected to the aim, I set it to 30v, which is down slightly from 1000/sqrt 1 All EQ's and bass boosts are set to 0. Hey guys I just got my amp today its HUGE. Im running 2 sets of comps off this amp, Hertz HSK165 for the front and infinity kappa perfect 6.1 for the rear. I thought i hooked everything up properly but that was not the case. My balance and fader controls are wrong, when i adjust to left or right the front left and rear right work. I dont know whther the speaker wires themselves are wrong, or if iinstalled the rca wrong. There are no markings on the rca just 2 red and 2 black so I dont know where they go. Secondly, I need help setting the adjustments. I want this amp to be stritcly for mids and highs since I have 2 subs. I set it to HPF for both switches on the amp…

I want to know how do they get 66 Voltage in a car. I mean I am going to get a 300 amp alt, and two power master D3100, and a SAZ-3000D. How in the world can I find out how much Voltage am I going to give out before I purchase all these things. Also how is it possible to put the amp at .5 ohms? I don't know a lot about car audio, but this voltage thing is REALLY confusing me.

I've just opened up the tummy of my amp and discovered that one of the coils or inductors are touching one of the fuse legs, is that anything to worry about? and uhhh hope i havnt just got rid of my warranty?? ehh.....prob doesnt matter anyway because it will be over a years time from purchase that i may actually use it lol... So heres what is on my mind. First off i am wondering how to wire a subwoofer down to a one ohm load due to there being two sets of speaker terminals. Maybe a noob question but i cant figure it out. Second and this mite be harder to answer. Will this amplifier overpower a Fi BL15 with with the hyper pole upgrade or would it be able to take the juice without messing anything up? Any elightenment would be appreciated.

I own an Atomic AT 1600.1D and recently purchased a Sundown SAZ 1500D because I am converting once the Sundown 50.4 comes out. I tested it out today in my truck and here's my opinion. Both amps are very very well built. There was noo difference in bass and performance. Both amps never get hot. They both performed surperbly on my 3 10's. The major difference and Chris from DB R told me this was the heatsink design. The Sundown was much heavier. The Sundown is built like a tank I mean that "mother" is one solid amp. The external appearance for both looks about the same the Sundown in my opinon looks a little better. I think the major difference though will be in c…
