Sundown Audio

The 1500D being $599 and the 1000D being only $399 means the 1000D costs less per watt. So why would someone get the 1500 over the 1000?

can someone explain this to me in simple terms of how it works? I'm trying to understand how it works but am giving myself a headache. I want this amp to power 2 fronts, 2 rears and 2 "show off" external speakers. Now, by doing a standard wiring job, all 4 in car speakers @4ohm would be receiving as advertised 100w per speaker. I set all the x-overs on the amp the way i want them to be. I then decide to hookup these 2 extra speakers in tri mode by bridging each of the 2 speakers on ch1+2 and ch3+4. This is where i get lost... If the original speakers were receiving 100w before, what are they getting now including the add-on speakers? The amp is rated for 320x2 @4ohm... …

Well im tired of having no bass in about all of my rides. Know that its getting to were its snowing and blowing i would like to get something in the van to hold me over unit summer seeing my 5th and 6th DD 3518's are not in and im still getting around money to power them up. The-Scraper and I have been testing our azzes off this week. We got our hands on a Sundown SAZ3000D and tested it on the same setup as the Stetsom and Cyclops. Was in the boys car driving with him tunes were medium loudness. We were able to talk over them. Suddenly speakers sounded funny and shut off. By speakers I mean subs. We get back home and amp fuses blown. We replace fuses subs come back on, sound even funnier and then pop. Fuses gone. Allow me to add, after the first pop of fuses, we checked all cables and wires. No shorts. Started checking subs and every one of them showing open. Not dead short. open as in there is no circuit from positive to negative. great. i have 2 8ohm mids in my car temporary for now until my door panels are done, and ive had numerous amps hooked to those same 2 mids with the same HU settings and all, and on any amp ive used (RF Punch amps, MTX, etc) the sundown 100.2 sounds the absolute cleanest, HU can be turned up alot higher (pioneer 880, usually keep it at 50 out of 62 max) and now, like 55-58 doesnt even distort when before 50 was the most i could go. great amp overall, im really glad i went with Sundown. :bigclap:

got my 2 sa-12s in a 5 cube box tuned to 30-31hz using 2 4" aeros anyway i just got my crescendo bc2000 and i was playin today had to be pretty close to full tilt although amp clip light never came on anyway i am very happy with the performance of my amp and subs and box !! once done after about 10 min or so of playing different songs here and there i felt my dust caps and noticed they were luke warm now i went directly to the ports didnt smell anything is this normal ? sorry but first system i have ever had that was capable of actualy flexing anything so i had to play with it

I am a novice and am looking for some suggestions. I have heard a lot good things about Sundown subs, looking at the website I am similarly impressed. I have a Toyota Tacoma Double cab and am looking to put a modest sq system in it. I have jvc double din and alpine s series component and coaxials in place. I have been trying to research a sq sub for the low end. I was going to use a single 10 in a Tacotunes enclosure ( 0.55 cu sealed with a 5.5 in top mount depth enclosure). What kind of power does the 100.4 make per channel at 8 ohms?

I received my 100.4 and i must say amazing customer service and extremely fast shipping. I am going to run active with Supremo Tweeters and SEA mids. From people's experience should i use the filters from my pioneer 9800 head unit or from the amp?

My Maxx-Link is installed & dialed in as well as my amps and everything is sounding great. Since I had the clamp and dmm in the truck I decided to go ahead and take some measurements. My strapped 1500s put out 90v and 40a while drawing 400a of current with voltage dropping from 13.5v to 12.2v. If my math is right thats 3600watts @ 2.25ohm & 12.2v out of a pair of strapped 1500s. My subs are dual 1s wired in a parallel series configuration. Basically the amps are strapped @ 1ohm (0.5ohm each). So guys i am getting a recone on my 15 to a pair of 12's, the subs in question are the NS v1. my question is how many spiders does the NS v1 normally come with? i ask b/c i will be running 2-saz2500 strapped to the 2-12's and someone mentions to me maybe i should get another spider added to the 12's so they can handle the amount of power? so my question again is do i need or shoudl i get another spider added to each sub or no would stock be enough. i plan to do a daily/ burp car but primary a daily setup application. thanks for viewing my thread and any input! I was looking into the SA-15 and looking at this spec sheet confused me. The specs for a sealed box are only implied for a D2 version of the subwoofer and the ported for a D4. Is this specific recommendations or can either subwoofer work for either enclosure type and size? Don't want to seem stoopid but I've never seen it explained that way before, so I had to ask.... question 1: can this sub (12" version) take a 3000d at .5 ohm for burps? question 2: is a nsb90, powermaster d3100, and a 200amp irragi alt enough to burp the 3000d at .5 ohm?...agian, burps only...for daily driving i will wire it up to 2 ohms, but its gonna be at .5ohm for burps... thanks!

Which sundown amp would be the best for a 18" Fi BL 1000rms sub?

Just curious about a few things. I will be doing 3 of them in a c pillar wall so i am curious about how far would i need to keep the subs surround away from the back seat? Also how much would it have mattered if i got these d2 ohm and have them wired at 1.35ohm powered by 2 AQ2200 strapped together?

We are seeing *clamped* power of 50-100% of the woofers rating with NO BOX for 3-4 minutes straight in order to hurt the woofer. When using an amplifier rated for 400-500 RMS on these woofers in a day to day situation it will be EXTREMELY difficult to damage them. Again... this was intentional abuse -- any person hearing the type of mechanical noises we did in this testing would obviously turn it down =)

Hey, Just wondering if I should look into getting another 1200 or 2 1500's in the future or a 3000 lol... I wanna hook up a 1200 to each BL but I was thinking what If I wanted a single BTL or Nightshade in the future 1200's can't be strapped... or shouldI just wait and cross that bridge when I get to it. Hi, i hope you unterstand what i mean with fm radio disturbtion.. I have a ssd 10 dual 2 in 1.4 cuft ported to 36hz and it needs more power than it has right at the moment. So i was thinking to buy a saz 1000d or the sale sae 1200d. I know shipping to germany will be expensive but i want to try sundown amps :-) But i wounder if these amps disturb the receiving of the fm signal, because i had a t20001 in my car an didnt virtually receive any station anymore... Can you help my a bit with my decision??
