Sundown Audio

Well I just received my SAX-125.2 not too long ago and WOW! This is a very nice amp with sweet sound clarity. I put it to my polkmomo 6x9's and it blows my overrated crunch ( I know, I know) out of the water. I just started getting back into car audio not too long ago and went cheap just to get started. Sundown for life now!!! Then you had to go and have this sale for July and u can bet I will take advantage. Before this month is over I will be ordering an SAX-100.4 and the 50.4 fo sho. I have heard GREAT things about this up and comming audio company! I have just upgraded to a fi BTL 18 fully loaded, so im now in search for an amp. I was wondering if anyone has specs on d class amp, more than 2000w continous. Where can i purchase an amp? Thanks for the help everyone

Alright jst wondering if anyone else exprience this. I have a sundown 100.4 and as soon as you put a fuse in it, it'll blow as I was driving I heard a loud screech guessing that's when it went out. Internals looks clean, all in/out put was d/c and still having this issue ground was checked. Have a 1500d and that amp is fine. Its probably internal just curious if its rare thing.

I currently own a 2000 Pontiac grand am gt. the dimensions i could easily fit in my trunk would be 18x12x38. Could you help me design a box for a SA-15 within those dimensions. Need design specifics and/or cut sheets. I was thinking about going with two tens or two twelves but i don't think the space will allow me to do it, any ideas?? But definitely going with SA subs no matter what. Don't have amp yet but will match amp to subs regardless. Please Help

Hi, i thought of trying some stuff from sundown audio. I need two setups: 1) The first one is for my girlfriends car and i thought of using 2 e8's powered by one saz 1000d, wired to 2 ohms is 300 watts per woofer... 2) Second is perhabs for me... I have one BTL 15'' right now powered by one RFt2000bd... But this lil beast takes too much space in my trunk... If i use 4 e8's on the t2000k strapped down to 1 ohm thats 500 per woofer, is that too much?? or should i better use 1 nightshade 12''?? Or more e8's? I don't want to go bigger than 2.5 - MAX 3 cubes after port replacement...! I hope you guys understand my bad language and can help me buying equipment from Sundown. I'…

Okay so I have the low end figured out, but for the mids and highs I haven't decided. I figured since I already have Kicker 6 x 9's I'd go with some Kicker 6 1/2" for the doors and some 1" tweets. I think the SAX 50.4 would be a good buy. My low end will be (2) of the SA-12's powered by the SAZ-2000D. Will the mids and highs keep up with the low end or should I go bigger?

My Maxx-Link is installed & dialed in as well as my amps and everything is sounding great. Since I had the clamp and dmm in the truck I decided to go ahead and take some measurements. My strapped 1500s put out 90v and 40a while drawing 400a of current with voltage dropping from 13.5v to 12.2v. If my math is right thats 3600watts @ 2.25ohm & 12.2v out of a pair of strapped 1500s. My subs are dual 1s wired in a parallel series configuration. Basically the amps are strapped @ 1ohm (0.5ohm each). i have a pair of sundown sd-1 v2 10"s and im wondering how big of a box they should be in?? i have them in 2 cubes at 28hz right now and they sound good but i just wanted to know for sure if the was was the right size or if i need to build a bigger or smaller one for them?? thanks fo rthe help

I want to run 4 infinity kappa 6.5 2 way. What is the best starting point on the crossover? Set both crossovers at full? I am new to all this and have searched and searched but it seems most people are using this amp for componets. It will be ran off a Alpine cda 9886 which they advertise has a high pass crossover bilt into it for the front and rear preamp outputs. Will this amp do what I need it to do? The moer I read the more nervous I get that i made the wrong choice. Thankyou.

I've got 2 dd 3515's dual 2 ohm, right now i've got 2 sundown audio 1500d's strapped @ 2ohms. I'm wanting to get 2 more 1500d's. my question is would the amps handle bein strapped @ 1 ohm daily? i wanted to ask first before i reconed the subs to dual 1 ohm...thanks in advance.

The Sundown 100.4 amp has been sitting in my garage for a few years now. I bought this when they were first released as I think the knobs have changed over time? I can't remember how to setup this amp on my current car. I have components up front and a sub in the trunk. How do I wire this to the amp correctly? Specifically which RCA and Speaker wires go into which terminals? Also how do I go about starting out to tune the system with this setup? As the title states. I will be on an actual vacation for the first time in ~6 years or so. The rest of the crew will still be here at the shop holding down the fort. Two Stinger SPV-70 Batteries / 40-amp Power Supply / 8 awg wire power and Ground (this amp should have 4 awg) Wired to 1 ohm nominal : 1170 Watts @ 12.5 volts 1.97 ohms after impedance rise Wired to 0.5 ohm nominal : 1490 Watts @ 11.1 volts 0.85 ohms after impedance rise --- Measured with my Extech True RMS power clamp meter several seconds into the tone @ 60 Hz -- this typically reads about ~15-16% less than a "dual peak hold" amp clamp test. We'll do some more testing with a more adequate power wire coming up soon. The test bench 4 awg has the ends tinned so is a bit too big to go into the SAX-1200D terminals -- will need to get it in a vehicle.

Ok I'm running 4 12" subs on a 3k @ .5 but i'm planning to change to 4 SA-12 d2's. I'm wondering if I get more power out of 2 1500's strap @ 1 ohm then I would out of the 3k @ .25?

Currently have a Sa-8V2 in a 1.2^3 ported enclosure powered off a AQ1200D at 2 ohms(~850RMS).. I would like some more trunk space in my 2014 WRX hatchback and was wondering how these subs sounded like sealed? Or is it even a good idea at all?
