I have 2 1500d that I got from Dbr and 2 Fi Q15. My HU has a 3 preout which is for front, rear and sub. Each 1500d will power a single Q15 and I connect both amp with RCA. Let say RCA from HU connect to amp A and another RCA connect from BR out of amp A to input to amp B. Is this the right way to do it? Now when I scoped amp A it shows 40.4V with gains set at 3/4 of unclipped signal. Now when I scopped amp B with max gains I only got like 32V and it does not clip. So I decided to swap the RCA from HU to amp B. I got 41.5V with gains set at 3/4 of unclipped signal. But when I scopped amp A it has the same problem. Got 31V from it unclipped with max gains. Does anyone ha…

I just picked up a 3rd 1500D last night for a steal of a deal and might pick up a 4th in a few weeks if the guy decides to sell it. Is there way to wire one remote gain knob to both strapped pairs of them? If not how do you normally control multiple amps as I really like being able to turn them up/down from the driver's seat?

Alright Everyone Here Goes Another Post. My Current Setup Is One FI 15'' BTL With A SAZ 2200 D Amp. Now I Was Wondering If I Put This Setup In A BMW if If Would Hurt The Amp Or Alternator/Battery With Stock Electrical. In The Long Run My Plans Are Having 2 FI 15" BTL's With 2 SAZ 2200D Amps Running A Total Of 4400 Watts. Also Im Planning On Having A In Dash Head Unit That The Screen Comes Out When You Turn It On And Also 2 Screens On The Headrests. Could Anyone Tell Me Some Info On The Electrical System What Would I Need For All This Whether It Be Battery's,Capacitors Or Alternators. Thank You ~ Kent ~

Alright jst wondering if anyone else exprience this. I have a sundown 100.4 and as soon as you put a fuse in it, it'll blow as I was driving I heard a loud screech guessing that's when it went out. Internals looks clean, all in/out put was d/c and still having this issue ground was checked. Have a 1500d and that amp is fine. Its probably internal just curious if its rare thing.

Can we expect the Nightshade to be similar to a BTL? Meaning they will excel in the same application?

Trying to wire up now- not worried about what ohm to wire it up to got that i got 3 and i am wiring it to 1.33 ohms and i was gonna just use the wire terminal as a jumper to get the neutral and power wire to the other subs like 2 wires on the terminals on 2 of the subs and the last sub will just have 1 wire into all the terminals because i dont have to jump it on the far end so my question is can two 12 gauge wires fit in one of the terminal in the sa8-- if not would it be better to run a seperate run for each speaker to where the wires are coming into the box- or would wire nutting them and getting a good tape job be good enough cant wait to try these out-to make su…

First off... I have to ask: will it be as efficient as a brand new one? Secondly... what voltage should I expect the true 1K RMS @ 1-ohm?

And I know it sounds like a woofer's blown at the end, but it's just the rear panel in the car vibrating. I kind of freaked out when I opened the trunk also, until I figured out what it was.

The subs are still going strong. I have been torturing them to say the least and they have been hanging in there. I have demoed them to plenty of customers and still love the expression on their faces when they exit the car.

Our phone system is DOWN today completely while AT&T moves our number to the new facility. We've been forwarding it via the internet back to our Talkswitch box in Troutman up until now; but we are getting the whole deal officially moved today. If you must contact us please e-mail [email protected] and he can ask anyone else any questions you may have as well. I will post ASAP once the phone system move is completed. Our old number will STILL work via forwarding @ the phone company and we will also have a new "official" phone number.

  19. Shop will be partially closed next week. We will still respond to as many e-mails as possible and as many products as possible will go out. We will not be open for phone calls or be at 100% shipping / building capacity. Don't worry, though, after next week we'll be back to work and we'll have an extra worker at least for the summer ! Also -- bit of a hiccup this week. My accounting / book keeping computer went out over the weekend. I ordered a power supply for it next day air yesterday -- still waiting on it to arrive to start going through orders to enter and ship. Hoping it arrives before lunch so I can get some work done today!

I was driving and i heard a pop and my front speakers went out I know it was the amp not the speakers. The rear speakers still are working which doesn't make sense. I have 2 amps a 1500 sundown running the subs and has no problems and the 100.4 sundown running 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers. I checked the fuses on the side the three green ones and none of them were blown. Like I said the front speakers just went out and the rear ones still play. I also unplugged and plugged back in the input cables. Any info would be great. Probably a Hardcore Newb question but I don't care I will play dumb to get a better answer.

  22. Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm looking all over the net for some good info and I stumbled upon this site by a fluke I read on few forums that this is a quality amp and seems to be going for a price of $200 which is the top I want to spend on an amp, budget is tight. I've got two sets of coaxial speakers, both Alpine, one is Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. and the other Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. I'm working with limited space of no more than 17''x11'' in an enclosed trunk space, I will attach picture of someone elses car with the location of where I also want to put the amp.

I know most amps have to battle heat to stay running as my last amp use to operate well into the 150 degree range on a normal basis but I just have one question. Wheres the heat at on this SAE-1200D???? Ive been bumping hard for 3-4 hours straight and not even a sweat. I can touch it at the end of the night and the heatsinks drain the heat out of my body. How is this thing suppose to be a normal amp????

I ended up getting this sub off Jake and I'm so glad I did. Here's a link to CA.com http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=268616 I'm considering trying out DB drag or something in the spring. Not only is it loud but it sounds pretty good for an SPL sub (much better that a DMX 15 IMO) Anyway, I'll have some pics of my trunk up once I clean up the wiring.
