Few Pics of the Van The enclosure: Test fit of the subs I have ripped up the plywood that was bolted to the floor and romoved the back seat. Need to fill the screw holes and tint my windows before I put my enclosure in. When I put the enclosure in I will brace it with 2x4's all the way around.

Alright guys -- I have noticed that the SAX-100.2 doesn't get the recognition it deserves online. My local dealers love the amp and they have sold most of them to folks that don't post online! So, in order to get some love for the SAX-100.2 online I am doing to do something that you won't see again for a long time. I am opening a special DIRECT sale on the SAX-100.2 model until April 20th! On to the fun part... the cost will be $200 shipped in the continental USA (PM me for Hawaii and Alaska). Yes, that is right. This is April 2nd and not an April Fools joke! To take advantage of this offer simply Paypal me at [email protected] -- or for an easy Paypal check-out g…

Well its tax-return time and I'm officially debt free, and its also the the start of audio season. The question is should I buy and build a new street A car. This season the car would get a modest treatment, 2 runs of 1/0 wiring, a good battery, 2 saz-3000d's, 2 (10" subs undecided but would have to be pretty beastly). The following season it would get the fun treatment, 4-6 runs of 1/0, countless hours of termlab testing/box building etc... Should I do it, represent Sundown Audio and SSA again? I'm leaning towards yes, Its a great hobby and if I could nab a cheap crx/omni etc... I should be pretty solid in the north east.

And I know it sounds like a woofer's blown at the end, but it's just the rear panel in the car vibrating. I kind of freaked out when I opened the trunk also, until I figured out what it was.

hey guys, what do these put out at 1ohm on a electrical system of 14-15 volts? also 1 more question if you dont mind..do you think a 300 amp alt from EA and a yellow top under the hood and 2 Kinetik HC2400 batteries in the back will be enough juice for the saz-3000 to its potential and a sundown 4 channel amp? heres some info on the kinetik's incase some dont know them Kinetik HC2400 Power Cell. MOST POWERFUL audio cell anywhere, PERIOD! Used in the loudest vehicles in the world and boasting over 180dB when used in competition. This bad boy has more current than power cells twice its size. If you want the BEST, this is it. Providing thousands of amps at near dead short,…

First of all, hello my name is Matt, and after a bit of reading and so much awesome feedback on sundown audio amps, I want to try them out in my next build. I ask a lot of questions, but seem to answer a lot as well. Anyway, my question is this... how much power do these amps pull from the electrical system of a vehicle when under ~full load (1 ohm for 3000d, and others bridged) Just trying to figure out exactly what kind of electrical upgrades will be necessary. Thanks in advance, Matt

Today I was doing some testing on a new setup and I got some incredible #s out of my Sundown 1500d. It was running @ 0.5ohm pushing a pair of d2 Kicker cvr 15s. A 50hz test tone was used. The output voltage was 42.2v and the clamp meter read 64.1a of current output. Thats 2700watts w/ rise to 0.65 ohms. I couldn't believe it so I moved the clamp and dmm to the input side and got 315a of current draw w/ voltage dropping from 14.3v to 12.8v. 315a * 12.8v = 2700watts of ouput @ 67% efficiency. Am I doing this correct? I'm completely astounded to see 2700watts out of a single 1500d. In case anyone's interested, the setup hit a 147.3 on a TL legal, sealed, mic on the …

I received my refurbished sae-1000d yesterday. I actually looks really nice. The picure here showed a couple of little marks on the cover, but they are hardly noticable. Hooked it up at 2ohms and wow! I was very impressed with it. The specs say that it does 600rms at that resistance but it definately puts out more than my "900rms" kenwood. Alot cleaner sounding too. I was having a really hard time setting gains last night too. I think i need to find someone with an o-scope. Just though I would compliment Sundown for working with me on getting my amp and, though I don't know very much about car audio, I was really impressed with it.
