I have a Dual 3-ohm Subwoofer, which i plan on wiring in parallel for a 1.5 ohm load (actually measures 1.55 on digital multimeter). Could I use Two SAE-1000D Strapped with this load? One Saz-1500d would not be enough and 3000w would be to much.

I did some testing today. I got out my craftsman DMM/clamp and played some 50Hz tones. (I have a Panasonic headunit with 2V preouts, an Excessive Amperage 250A alternator, 1 Duralast Gold size 65, 2 Kinetik HC1800's, big three with knukonceptz 1/0 gauge, etc...) This is my gain right now (red dot indicates)... I did volume 30/40 and sub at 0 on the headunit playing a 50Hz tone. I got 28.6 volts (AC) at the speaker terminals and 19 amps (AC) on the speaker wire, so 543.4 watts. I did volume 32/40 and sub at 0 on the headunit playing a 50Hz tone and got 33.2 volts and 21 amps, so 697.2 watts. I measured the resistance on my sub wires... 1.0 ohm. What's the deal? Why am I …

tried my damnest to get a 140 out of it, just so I could talk smack, but I'm impressed with the number, since the box is tuned to 34hz and the subs are seeing around 350 watts or so. Forgot to mention, these are the 10's also.

What is the proper way to adjust the settings on my SUNDown 3000? I'm only adjusting it to be clear to my ears as of now Can someone explain each potentiometer setting? / What each one does? and how to adjust properly. Do I set different if I want "lower" or "higher" notes to come alive? Thanks in advance ~Ronrico

This will be the official "Front Stage Inc" demo car...just waiting for my battery to come in. That HC2400 is too ginormous. I'm not sure if you can see this but the cover is kind of sitting on top of the amps. I'm waiting for some 1/8" lexan to put over the amps so I can use my trunk without messing up the amps.

Well finally I have my Sundown SAZ 3000D hooked up in the Blazer. 1 Fi BTL 15 Dual Mag in a small but perfect box tuned to 35hz 1red yop and 1yellow top Optima batteries Question is How do I test my amp? What are the various ways I might find out the output? Watts? Amperes? Don't I need a special clamp meter? Any suggetions on what kinds and maybe some links. How do I set the gains on my amp correct? I've done it by ear so that nothing is distorting and everything is real clear. But isn't there a better way? Thanks for ANY HELP in advance! ~Joe

Went to AudioThunder in Niagra Falls new york with some small changes to the vehicle. Terrible drive up due to conditions outside but well worth it! Eclipse is doing 154's a lot more often now that I strengthened somethings in the rear hatch and removed the spoiler that was leaking some air. 2nd in the preliminary (saturday) 1st place in the finals for bass race (sunday) Should get a 55+ out of it charged. Will try and get a vid of that up soon. Here are some videos I took from the show. Amps are still running excellent at .5 ohms Jake! Since my 4 15" Soundstream T4 project is being delayed, I decided to strap both amps into the sebring on 1 MTX Audio 12" 9500 subwoofer today. Got both amps strapped up, all connections good and the master amp set at 1/2 gain and 1/2 bass boost in a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned to 38Hz. My first reaction when the bass hit.....was like......HoLy SH**.. It literally took my breath away and I had to turn it down. My trunk was trying to jump off the car literally. 1 ohm on each amp, and this 9500 is taking it like a champ. Amps never even got warm. These SAZ 1500's are some badass amplifiers, and I'm very impressed with them. Thanks for making great amps Jacob, appreciate it.

So, I have a 2006 VW GTI that needs a system. Plans, so far, as follows: Dynavox 8" Midbass driver (~60 - ~250 Hz)* DLS Iridium IR3 midrange (~375 - ~3000 hz) DLS Iridium IR1 tweeter (~3000 Hz and up) * I may opt to use Morel HU9.1s or a VIFA 8s -- still brain storming here. Has to be shallow at no more than 3.5" depth so I'm a bit limited. Crossover points subject to adjustment. Slopes will likely be as follows: Dyanvox - 24 dB HP / 12 dB LP DLS IR3 - 36 dB HP / 12 dB LP DLS IR1 - 12 dB HP Subject to tuning. The factory passive in the IR3 set crosses the IR3 in the 300s with a lower slope... I think it'll play at 375 just fine with such a steep slope. I'll further wipe a…

I am offering up people to listen Sundown products in Centrla/S. California. I am now a firm believer in Sundown and am willing to let anyone that wants to listen to my SQ orientated truck running the 100.4 and 1500D. Keep in mind this is a SQ truck with the ability to get to decent loud volumes. I am a Sq compeitor and hence my reasoning about setting up Sundown amps in that fashion. I look at it this way, if I can make it sound good, REALLY GOOD, and do it at 2 ohms and not take advantage of dropping the impedence for full power then I think you can imagine the "output" with full power. I am still thinking about building up a DB car to show the true impact of this …

Any idea how soon this model will be released? Since my upgrade to three subs I'm in need of more power and would like to stay Sundown. I'm limited however to a pair of amps that have no more than a 750watt power rating @ 4ohm and 200a max rated current draw each. The 2000s should fit perfect. I'm looking to upgrade this summer in about three months or so. Will they be out by that time.

How do I measure it? I have a pair of 1500s strapped on three Fi Bl 18s (dual 2ohm) in a series/parallel configuration. I've already clamped the amplifiers and they are pulling 460a of current, voltage drops from 14.4 to 11.8, and resting resistance is 1ohm. What else is there?
