Worked on the car stereo yesterday. To date, I have the Alpine CDA-9884 with the RUX-C701/PXA-H701 processor/ controller combo installed. I ran the main 1/0 power wire from the stock battery in my 06 Toyota Solara. I sealed my sub box and installed the sub. I wanted to hear the sub before I finished the appearance portion of the box. It is a dual 2 ohm VC wired in Parallel for a 1 ohm load. I have not installed a permanent ground point on the chassis so mounted a temporary 4 gauge wire to a seat lug that sees a resistance of 1.4 ohms. hi guys, im using this calculator http://www.caraudio911.com/tutorials/GainSet/voltage.htm to get my gains all set up on my truck, and im getting different numbers. i have 2 sundown saz1500-ds strapped, and 2 d2 fi audio BTL 18s in my s10 can someone help me out on getting these gains where they should be? also i metered it the other day just setting the gain by ear and it did a 146.8 legal. im getting 2 more sundowns down the road, i want to be in the 150 club! thanks for your help in advanced,

i went to get something to eat earlier and went to play my system that im tryn hard not to use till the season starts and i rolled into a beat really quick,which i shouldnt have,but did,and my amp cut off.its a 1500d and it didnt go into protect just turned off.i turned my head unit off and checked my fuse and it was fine.i turned the hu back on and it came right back on.weird huh.its dark right now so i couldnt check to c if a sub blew or what,but its still hittn hard as heck!!!anybody now what happened?thanks

Hey everyone I'm, having issues right now with my amp. I don't know too much about wiring and etc but my installer says that the amp I have isn't stable at 2ohm's and won't try 1ohm for fear of blowing the amp. It's stable at 4ohms but thats it, so right I have no idea what to do about it. Is the amp just bad? I ordered it almost two months ago but just installed it today and forgot to even see if I had a warranty when purchasing. Also the amp as it is now is pushing two AA havoc 12's in a sealed box and the amp is just rattling BAD. Like real real bad were it's so annoying and loud that everyone can hear it. ive got a optima yellow top up front a nd two n the back by my box.im fixn to order a 200 amp alternator but was wondering if i need to get a battery isolator.will that help or what.i need some feedback on this.thanks everybody

The camera didn't pick up the sound very well. Mic was placed on the dash on the passenger side. This was taken with an RTA but mine reads .1 lower than the local TL. So I believe this to be accurate. Peaked at 53Hz. Box is tuned at 40Hz. HzznT2SlpUQ

My channel #2 isn't working on my amp. I get very little sound and it's very distorted. I checked all the RCA and speaker connections on the amp and behind the headunit, I checked the fuses, I tried switching speakers, I tried unhooking my SAE-1000D, I tried switching polarity, nothing worked. Any idea what could be wrong? I took the amp out of the car. Should I look for anything inside the amp?

well jus like the title says ..my amp is going into protect.. i was doing some runs on the TL and it suddenly started going into protect...i checked the speaker and it reads 2.3 ohms and is a d4 on parallel....what could it be??

how much does a 3000d amp cost from sundown? didnt notice any prices on website or maybe i just missed them...

Hello every budy here @ the sundown forum. i'm Cornelis from Holland and have a saz 3000 in my streetmax 1/2 spl car. whe tested the amp in a couple of cars now. whit good test results. whe tested a bmw coupe E36.from 1994 .whit 2x 12 inch @ 0.5 ohm hitting 146.8 dbs @ 46 hz. and whe tested in a vw caddy from 1996 whit 5x 15 inch @ 0.5 ohm hitting 151.7 dbs @ 38 hz and in my panda streetmax 1/2 whit 1 northstar 90 nsb and 2x 18 inch @ 0.25 ohm @ 67hz whe did a 158.1 whit voltage drop 11.22 volt

I wanted to get a post going so everyone could get an idea of what I am working with. The main reason is because in Feb-Mar I will be doing some test on the SAZ-3000ds. I will be updating this thread as often as I can do any work and/or testing on the van. To start it is a 1993 Dodge Caravan, and I run StreeMax 1-2 in DB Drag. I bought it from Rooney Bianco of Team 420 in July of last season. Here it is the day I picked it up: A few specifics, I picked it up in Connecticuit at a show. When I picked it up it had the following: (2) MA 4000d (2)T3 tsns 18" old pioneer deck(2volt output) Kinetik 2400 one run of 0 ga At the show I hit a 154.7 and took first place.

Any of you guys have a box suggestion? will be running sub 60 and down. Would like an LSQ set up. I have 8" midbass drivers. Can't really find box recommendations from TC.

my right front speaker went silent. Channel one front tweeter still worked so I swtiched speaker two to channel one n it played. I then put speaker one into channel two n it was also silent. All I so far.. Can the channel just be bad?

It was delivered yesterday to my work. I opened it up today. It. is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Sure, it is used (I bought it from Jacob's resale link.), but in great condition. Comes with the 1 year warranty and the remote gain adjust. I can't wait to incorporate it into the system I am getting ready to install in my car. Jacob was fantastic to deal with.
