alright finally got some pics and a vid of my car... i know the cars dirty lol i just installed the alternator so i havent had time to clean the grease off yet interior. engine pics from when my bumpers were black... engine still looks the same today. so ya i ordered a fully loaded fi btl 18" i ordered another sub exactly the same from Fi ... and got this... the whole sub was pretty much different...i know they look alike but the cone was a different texture and so was the rubber surround... well, havent started the install, still waiting on the battery terminals, some ring terminals, d block, comps, some speaker wire, and of course gotta find an install sleeve and trim ring the douchebag didnt send me with the HU, got some lined p just waiting to see if the guy ever gets back to me. but heres some pics. I am also probably going to wait til I get some CLD tiles for the doors to install the comps, and the box is going to be somewhere around 3-3.5 cubes at 32-35. still gotta make a decision on that. but heres some pics of what Ive gotten so far. the odd sub is just a RF S212S4 to compare the size of it.

Figured I'd post a build log for my truck, a buddy (John Holmes) and me are doing it. As I've said before I haven't dealt with car audio much since highschool but for whatever reason got the itch (herpes) this year. I don't really drive this truck all too often, it's primarily just used for towing although I will most likely put a few more miles on it now that it will have some sound. OK I have been super super busy with my daughter latley giving her most of my time and her bday is in a few days she will be one so I have been gone for a few months but im back.... haha So here is what we are working with so far 2 SSA ICON 10s 1 PTS Horn Swiss audio forgot wich model amp 2 Kicker 6 1/2s and eclipes tweets and crossovers Now thats to get by for now things will change up alot.... lots of plans but those will be discussed later on to pics now where is that camera haha by the way on around 700watts I knocked my window off track had fun putting it back on today

So... my buddy finally got his cash together in order to do his audio build. Its a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. The build will consist of the following: -Kenwood HD545u (my old HU. Already installed) -Blue Stinger volt meter (already installed. Need to wire up.) -Stinger 1/0 wire. My current setup is ok, but I think it is time to take things to the next level. My current project is upgrading to an active front stage. Later I hope to add another 12" GCON or maybe upgrade to a 15" XCON. Anyway, I got my HU and I am waiting for my seas 7" woofers to arrive. As soon as I get paid I will be ordering the tweets. Big 3 Pioneer head unit Probably JL components (i really liked the C5's I put in another build) Custom glassed sealed kick panels 4 channel amp on mids/highs BC 2000 on sub(s) maybe.... unless I choose a big 4 channel to power it all. mmk so the time has come for the teardown! as much as it hurts me to destroy my own work, i have to do it! Next year it will be MUCHHH better. so the first plan is to rebuild the box. the plan is to keep the back, bottom, and sides. but do away with the front. i will add about 10 inches or so to the top oof the box with a 1 1/2 baffle board with flushed FI SSD woofers. the batterys and MA Audio amps will be displayed on the front of the box and all flushed in..the box will be ported out the back and tuned to 33 hz for dailly. and there will be a romovable plate on the port to raise the frequency to around 44 for competitions. and finally the inside will be glassed. if yo…

Well, The Fi came in, so it's time to start a build log. Alright So I Decited I Wanted To Put A Built In Screen In My Box. I Was Wondering If The Magnetic Pull Of The Magnet Would Mess Up The Screen In Any Way? I Know Magnets Mess Up Cathode Ray Tv's (OLD STYLE) However The One Im Using Is A 22' LCD The BTL 15'' Barely Clears So Im Happy About That, I Just Wanted To Know About The Magnet Affecting The Screen?
