Well, after many questions and research I guess its time to start a build log. I havent done this in over 12 years so its alittle slow going. This is going into my daily / work truck. I am not necessarily going for "SQ" or for "SPL" but something that sounds good to me. Not a big build or anything. Here is the truck it is going into. What is being replaced. I've waited til I accumulated almost all of the parts before making this build log. This is my 1999 Chevy Blazer ZR2: I got it right around 2 months ago, and have been slowly accumulating audio parts for it. I took care of the important things first (fluid flushes, new hoses, new filters, oil change, fix rear differential leak, etc) so it took a bit longer than expected. The truck itself has a 2" shackle drop and nearly as much torsion bar crank and 31" Cooper STTs. I haven't had the time to take her off-road yet, but that's going to change very soon . This build is for a team mate of mine. Build consists of a pair of 18" Fi BTL's on a single [email protected] Car is a 2003 VW Golf. Enclosure specs... [email protected] on with the pics. terminated and dressed a few wires today. two from the alt to the batt. (Red tech-flex) two from the engine block to the frame. (silver) two from the batt to the fuse holders.(red tech-flex, w/ bare wire on one end)

Ok well the old setup is in the Sig. New setup will consist of. H/U - Still chitty sony one Front Stage: 2 Sets of PG RSD's Front Stage amp: Sundown 100.4 Sub Stage: 2 18" Fully loaded Fi BL's dual2's Sub Amp: Sundown Saz3000d @ .5 Electrical: 4 Deka Intiminators and a 250 amp Mechman alt Wiring: Kicker hyperflex So far I got 2 Dekas and an 18" BL on the way. First pic there 2 of the batteries the 3rd should make it a perfect fit all the way across and the 4th battery will be under the hood.

Hey everybody. I got into car audio about a year ago and have learned a lot. When I got my BL some people sounded interested in my build with my Camry. So here it is finially. Well haven't posted up here in a while so i thought id post up what I'm doing lately. I already have 2 SA-8's on the way and I'm going to pair it up with a SAE 1000d amp or an SAZ 1000d amp (not really sure what to get at the moment). I will be wiring both of them down to 1 ohm. It's all going in a 1992 toyota pickup extended cab. Here are the specs of the box I'm designing at 32 hrtz. In the 3D photos the length should be 40" not 36". 4 15" DB Drive subs sealed 1 saz-3500 4 D3100's 1 6500 Boss 4 channel only a few pictures, loud as balls IMO. 3/4 subs 2 of the 4 holes Boss Doin work! Those fuckers are heavy doin' moar werk.

I figured I might as well start this build log too, it should help keep me motivated trying to keep both builds moving. This is my brother's vehicle and his 2012 Mod class MECA build. Equipment being used in this build: 230amp DC Power alt. stock under hood battery with a single Kinetik 1400 in the rear JVC HDR50 Kicker KS69 Soundstream pcx270.2 SSA Zcon 18" Sundown SAZ3000D (thanks Steve!) I only have a few pics right now, I'll get more soon. Some shots of the big 3 looking ugly with the tape and big washers, but that was only temporary. Power cable through firewall. So this is what i've been up to for the past week, 2 gallons of spectrum firewall on the inside of the fiero, i figure i'll buy another gallon and a roll of raammat just for the roof/doors. The quarter windows were broken so i made some of those too, the driver's side is still hardening and i haven't even trimmed out the other yet, but they look god so far. considering replacements are $200+ i'd rather try using my leftover fiberglass first.

Update: Replaced interior carpen and I'm painting all interior plastic pannels to match Painting the pannels Almond. teplaced carpet with used carpet from a house. im sorry folks but i dont have the money to buy new carpet. so dumpster diving was the only way to go. decided it was time for a back up camera system so i started the console for the screen to mount in. im just going to build around the stock interior parts. probably going to paint this part black to match the area where the A/C controls and the HU are mounted. had debated using fiberglass to do the console but with all the extra OSB lating around the shop. i went that route instead. and besides. id hate to…

i been wantin to make a thread like this so fk it i am lol.... i started w/ this system ~10 months ago.. big difference between now and then. 1st was an splx15" and ss pca1000d: 136.8db still the same clarion deck.. added EQ w/ 7v out got a bigger box maybe 3cubes added a 4" aero.. this box and 4" port was the lowest hitting out of all the ones ive tried so far. 138.9db picked up a used 9515 and also swapped the pca1000 for the pca1500d the splx was a loud sub.. the dd sounds alot nicer though sealed off the 4" hole on the front, added a side firing 6" flared port.. 141.8db most recent mid/high amp, if you look at the pics i've been through 3 or 4 already.. …

How to start this off????? Well, I got this way cool Fi Car Audio 10" Q. Here are some pics of how it arrived to me. Waiting at the doorstep. Opening up the box. Out of the box and on to the driveway for some pics. Side profile shot. Get a load of that motor. O_o A word from the people who made this possible. Got the call from someone local to build a box for his setup. He has 2 SSA Evil 18's on 2 NS-1's at 0.5 ohms a piece, with 4 XS D3100's and a Mechman 270. His current box was initially built for 4 18's (something like 18 cubes net) and stuck WAY above the window line. He wanted a box for just the 2 that he has, a lot smaller box, and something with a little "flair". Well, here it is... Gonna finally start a build log for my camry. its a sad project thats been going on for months and there has been lots of setbacks but everything is turning up so gonna start posting some pics and some progress. Build is going to consist of 2 Fi BL 12's on a Sundown SAZ-3500. Power is going to consist of a dc 270xp and 3 xs d3400's. Any help is appreciated as far as opinions and stuff would be appreciated.

Starting my build log for my ford escape having an issue uploading my pictures here for it can some one recommend a good way to upload as they are larger than the max size allowed. Or will I have to take pictures of lower quality to get them to upload?

We are starting to get everything in for the new build to go into steve's 2001 Alero. we are going to ..... *finish the big three upgrade. *add a second battery in the rear. *build a new enclosure for the trunk, port and sub firing to the rear. *installing a 12" WMD2 subwoofer. *installing a AP1800D *removing rear fill, adding amp to front stage. *perhaps clean the junk out of the car in general, perhaps. this is what the old install looks like. small vid .....

I've been looking into transmission line and tapped horn enclosure for a while, but still dont know a whole lot. here is my attempt at a tapped horn design with 4 7in goldwood woofers($12 each). I have it all put together right now and it sounds really good, but its too late to turn it up real loud so that will wait till mornin. I'm not finished with the build yet though, but i was close to finishin so i decided to see how it sounded so far.
