I've been looking into transmission line and tapped horn enclosure for a while, but still dont know a whole lot. here is my attempt at a tapped horn design with 4 7in goldwood woofers($12 each). I have it all put together right now and it sounds really good, but its too late to turn it up real loud so that will wait till mornin. I'm not finished with the build yet though, but i was close to finishin so i decided to see how it sounded so far. After forever the build is finally coming together. I have an Adcom GTP-450 pre-amp with a GFA-535L for power (60W @ 8). I'm going to do the build using a combination of MDF and Oak. The neighbors shop setup More pics to come soon

Figured I'd post a build log for my truck, a buddy (John Holmes) and me are doing it. As I've said before I haven't dealt with car audio much since highschool but for whatever reason got the itch (herpes) this year. I don't really drive this truck all too often, it's primarily just used for towing although I will most likely put a few more miles on it now that it will have some sound. Ok well, I just came from the second skin warehouse here in Phoenix. Met up with the owner Anthony and discussed what he thought i'd need to get going for my small SUV. It's in desperate need for some second skin, so this is what I got today. NOt sure exactly when i'll be doing the installation of all this, but keep your eyes out for this thread in the near future for progress. Here's what I got. 3 boxes of "Damplifier Pro" for doors, roof, trunk lid, and floor 2 cans of second skin adhesive 3 crazy glues 1 roller 1 utility knife 2 rolls of luxury liner pro 2 rolls of rattle pad 4 Speaker Tweakers (mounts behind component drivers)

Throwin a lil somethin to bump to in the minivan I just bought for my girl. Setup will consist of: Clarion CZ401 USB H/U 1 Pair Skar Audio VXI65 Components 2 Skar Audio MA-8D4's Audiopipe APSM-1500 VXI's will be ran off the H/U for now along with the stock rear 6x9's. So school is finally over, the weather is finally starting to turn around and everything is looking good for a new build! So to start things off here is the box I will be building the over all sizes are 30x36x17.5, this box is a master piece of shizzzon designs! Here are pics of "Moms Soccer Van" before it goes in for custom vinyl graphics. Rear windows have been blacked out and urethane sealed To prevent flexing. Passive crossovers flushed into the passenger side under seat drawer. Refer all questions to 02skidoo as I only assisted on the dampening and tweeter install and brainstorming. Brian did all the rest himself. All dampening is Rockford Fosgate Deadskin (1 layer roof and sidewalls) Alt is from Ohio Generator and 3 Kinetik's. Could use a couple more. Now all I need to do is talk the Owner into Sundown and others!

Hiya......doing a new build here...we got started today.....got most of the supplies except a few little things here and there....but all will be here within the next week. This is a Daily Driving Ground Pounder build....or DDGP for short......using my 2 DD 3518's on 2 Sundown 2K's @ .75ohm a piece(will switching to a Crescendo 5K soon though) using Focal 165 A1 Mids and DD T series tweets (which i'll run on my SD 4-channel for now) Also using Knu Karma Rca's and Monster Cable 1/0 ...still not sure on batts. Hello Guys, I dont have any real pictures yet, but iv decided to get a little hype going for my first ever build. So heres what is going to be happening. Iv got a 2004 Impala, Currently with a set of Infinity 5.25 Reference components and Pioneer 6x9 coaxials in the back, powered by a PG Ti 500.4.. I had 2 Alpine Type X 10" and sold them. I posted a topic to get some ideas and feedback about an install in a '80 Corvette and the responces were great. Due to the nature of the design and limited options for this model vehicle and at the request of the owner, we will not be cutting on the doors and using the factory locations in the front of the vehicle. We will however be making some modifications to the rear of the vehicle, but be saving the majority of the space in the rear so that space can be used for the placement of the T-tops when out for a cruise. heres a friendly reminder of what the subs/box looked like when i first put it in over a year ago(i never found a reason to take an updated pic considering nothing ever changed) I yanked the subs to spray some spectrum in the box. mainly to make sure the subs are sealed a little better and because ive had the spectrum sitting forever so might as well do something with it. I sprayed just under a gallon in both chambers. Made some cardboard lip extensions. the goal here was to be able to attach the the fabric to the lip and stretch it into the box holes...
