Finally I got to do some real custom work again, seems like it's been forever. This customer is a great guy who loves to try out new speakers and gear all the time. He comes back regularly just to change things up a bit. This time, he wanted to take the kickpod plunge with his brand new Hybrid L3SE's and rework the door speaker position a bit. Alright, so this will be going into my 93 del Sol. The trunk floor is in the process of being fiber glassed, then I will packing peanut measure the volume and should be able to stick as close as I can to my goals. Goal is 1cuft, tuned to 28hz with port area of 8"x2.5" with the end opening flared. I used Google sketchup (just found it & it is awesome!) to mock up the box design & it has me all excited to finish this box. Just doing a basic build for my work truck. I've had several build in this truck buy never a nice, complete, good sounding build. No numbers, nothing crazy, just clean sound. I chose to go with B2 on this build. Clarion double din. 1 deka g34 in stock location. 1 extra Diehard platinum under hood from the camaro. (truck has two battery positions. ordered a xcon 12, waittingggg for it to come in. I helped a friend of mine out over the summer on his Lightning. System composed of... Pioneer head unit 2 sets of 6.5 Polk components 4 10" Polk subs Memphis 5 channel amp 1/0 wiring 2 Kinetik batteries Custom fabbed door pods, battery trays, and amp rack. The sub choices were limited due to budget and space. All factory power and grounds upgraded to 1/0 wire and a high ouput alternator is planned over the winter. All power and signal wires have been kept seperated. The cab floor, rear cab wall, and doors have been fully sound deadend. Sub enclosure. 3/4" mdf used with 3 internal braces. Whats up yall. Started the box about 2 days ago, still need about another 2 days to finish everything. Its been raining but it'll be gone by tomorrow. This is my first 4th order enclosure, although I have built countless sealed and ported boxes. I am trying to keep this system lightweight, while still being somewhat loud. I had 2 Fi btls before but it was just too much weight for my car. 4th order is 1 cu.ft for the sealed chamber and 1.8 cu.ft for the vented chamber after sub and port displacement. I Recently decided to change my setup and go with a little more. I loved my 18" BTL, but it was time for a little more. Here are some pictures from my build in the suburban. The box is approximately 20 cu ft tuned to 34 hz. I have a 300 amp Ohio Generator alternator with 2 runs of 2/0 welding wire. The amp is an Audiopipe APK-5500 @1 ohm. I have a Boston Acoustics GT-42 running the selenuim mids and crescendo tweeters.

I've decided to start looking for my next project. I'm looking for something outside of what you see everyday. Going to be loud as hell but still look cool. I'm thinking old... Any ideas? Budget around 7500.

I decided to build a kind of fart box for a local comp to get higher scores. and while i was designing it i thought i could make a second port for daily use and shove it through my backseat. I wanted to get a box for two 15s in the car but the most space i could get with the design i had in mind was 2.375 cubes per sub and i want more. so ill be using this box for this month then work out a new design based on this new box to get 2 15s in my trunk. this box will be a little over 4 cubes, with an external flared port, and lots of threaded rod and carriage bolts. i spent most of the day getting this far
