I decided to build a kind of fart box for a local comp to get higher scores. and while i was designing it i thought i could make a second port for daily use and shove it through my backseat. I wanted to get a box for two 15s in the car but the most space i could get with the design i had in mind was 2.375 cubes per sub and i want more. so ill be using this box for this month then work out a new design based on this new box to get 2 15s in my trunk. this box will be a little over 4 cubes, with an external flared port, and lots of threaded rod and carriage bolts. i spent most of the day getting this far

Just got this about a week ago. The paint needed some much needed love, so I took it over to my buddies body shop. Thinking of adding a single sub to the sub stage of this car. Opinions?

Yup, decided id go the other way and make an awesome front stage before tackling the subwoofer stuff first! ive always had different 6.5 comp sets and a sub stage but even with tuning and refining, never felt like you are there at the show front and center. ive gotten the staging close but with active x/o's on a on-axis 2-3 way front stage, i think thats what im really looking for. currently running 01 accord hertz hsk 6.5 comps old pioneer deck, also have a alpine 98-47 that ive had forever. soundsplinter rlp-15 future plans 2-3 way active front stage. ipod/iphone with line driver. or maybe an active deck? us amps md 21 on hertz tweeters 125-200 rms bridged 4 ch. …

  13. I am very happy with how this build came out, I have a ton of pics on the comp at home, and I will get them posted here soon,. I'd like to thank NT_Hardcore, Focalrock4life and my wife Kasey for all the time that went into the project. NT really did a nice job with the wiring, there are a couple things in the back that need to be tied up, and they will be when we can get the car back in a few days.

Pioneer head unit 2 sets of 6.5 Polk components 4 10" Polk subs Memphis 5 channel amp 1/0 wiring 2 Kinetik batteries Custom fabbed door pods, battery trays, and amp rack. The sub choices were limited due to budget and space. All factory power and grounds upgraded to 1/0 wire and a high ouput alternator is planned over the winter. All power and signal wires have been kept seperated. The cab floor, rear cab wall, and doors have been fully sound deadend. Sub enclosure. 3/4" mdf used with 3 internal braces. Box build is happening today, it is raining right now, waiting for it to let off to get the first layer of resin in the box... Four more cuts today, and than its just assembly and glass work. I am probably gonna order 80 sq feet of second skin soon and throw some of that in. I have already removed all of my factory speakers. All of the equipment for this build is in my signature. Will be updating throughout the day. Box is 3.68 cubic feet (before port displacement) with 69 sq inches of port. Double front baffle, countersunk screws, and completely resin'ed. Will be holding two 10" TC sounds oem's and tuned to 42 hz. So here are some pics:

I finally got in the amp, midbasses and so on and got to work. The box has been under construction for the last week and is done, finally. 2 cf @ 30hz 25.5 in^2 of port. I didn't want a full height port because it would have been stupidly long. As such I built the port as a separate unit and then made a cutout in the front panel and a flared trim piece to finish it off. Here's the port. Then I laid out the template for the cutout. and made the cut on the router table. I doubled the baffle around the sub and glued the port in place. Here is the box minus the port flange ready for paint. The flange was going to be painted a different color. The baox itself is pain…
