Ok this is for a buddy of mine i think he has an account on here, I can't remember though. It is 1 15" Audioque hdc3 aluminum coil on a Sundown saz 3k at 2 ohm, (might talk him into half an ohm at comps lol). As of now he does not have a front stage to brag about, but I'm going to get him hooked up one way or another. He has a pioneer headunit, don't remember what model. Will have big 3 done and a xs power d3400 in the back. (going to also upgrading stock battery, which luckily is already located in the back. And alredy has couple coats of dampner. Box is 4.1 cubes @ 36hz Ok on with the pics. Still have to throw 2 more coats of clear and carpet it, then bui…

Eh i thought i might as well post up my crappy work so far. I am by no means the kind of person that tries to make shit look good from start to finish. As long as it looks great at finish, functions properly, and is pretty well built then i'm ok with it This is going in a 2004 Silverado ECSB. Total vol. will be est. @ 5.2. I'm going to tune lower than i want @ 31hz and expect it to be more at 33-34hz just because that always seems like what happens and that's where i prefer it anyway. Yes that is 1/2" mdf. I had a whole sheet sitting in the shop so i'm going to use that and fiberglass over it so it'll be closer to 3/4. The subs are mounted up and port facing forward wit…

Here is the story behind the 75 buck truck. The tranny went out in the buick , and my mother in law mentioned a friend of hers had a truck that a junk man was scheduled to pick up for 75 bucks. Well i had every intention of paying 75 bucks and selling it to the scrap yard for 300-400. But when i got to the owners house , he said it runs , but its pouring water everywhere. A shop quoted him 1200 bucks for head gaskets. So i decided to crank it up and see what this truck was all about. Come to find out it only needed a freeze plug!!! So i shut my mouth and gave the owner his 75 bucks in exchange for the title. Now another "need to know" tidbit about this build is so far i h…

  12. Just realized I have been posting this build everywhere except for here. Allow me to share:  Amps on the left and right, Processor in the middle. The white plexi is going to be for wires to run through from the audio processor. The rest from the amps will go to the left and right of the amp rack.

I posted a topic to get some ideas and feedback about an install in a '80 Corvette and the responces were great. Due to the nature of the design and limited options for this model vehicle and at the request of the owner, we will not be cutting on the doors and using the factory locations in the front of the vehicle. We will however be making some modifications to the rear of the vehicle, but be saving the majority of the space in the rear so that space can be used for the placement of the T-tops when out for a cruise. I/we have discussed the limiting factors of the choices made for the items being installed and the limitations of sound that they can reproduce. The owner h…

My goals are to achieve good all around sound with a little bump at all volumes, nothing too crazy im not going to be competing. My budget was ~$1000 and plan to keep as much of the install stock looking since theft is high here in Tucson. I been piecing this together over the past few months and is getting closer to install hopefully i can start this weekend. As most of you know I had my DD 9518Z for sale. Well it sold, and I ordered two SSA ZCON 18"s for the PT. A good friend of mine and I started a "Team" but not a team. Lol. Were called "Southern Hertz". To get in our group wont be easy. But well worth it. Notice the shop I'm always working in LOL. This is just the start. :-) Well, I've always hated messy wiring, I know, I'm like the king of it. But it drives me crazy. So tonight. A friend and I decided to fix my issue. We started with this not to shabby. But could be better. Then went in order of these photos. Took everything out. Old amp rack. Batteries. All of it. Started work on amp rack/ battery box. Built it…

I had started a big build last year that I had to end before it was finished. I did not have time to do all of the fiberglassing that I had planned, that's life. I had to have something installed in my car that wasn't going to take years to complete Next year I will be doing an extensive over haul of the current setup. I plan on having more time then, I hope. Some of these pics are from the previous build which I am still using part of. I have more pics to take but this is a start. Current install: HU: Kenwood something of another Front stage: DEI Viper 650.2 Rear fill: Stock Four channel amp: JL Audio XD400/4 Subwoofer: JL Audio 13W6 Subwoofer amp: JL Audio XD600/1 Syn…
