Vehicle: 2002 Yukon XL Rims: 24" Milanni Voodoo's HU: Pioneer Double Din Amp: DC 3500 Subwoofers: (2)18" DC Level 4's This is my new build log and I will be updating it as I go. This will be incomplete until I catch up with photos. Be patient with me. I am getting my truck painted, upgraded, and of course my sound setup. Plus using my phone to get link codes from photobucket and working 12 hour shifts at the police department takes a lot of time. Stay tuned. Purchased the Truck on June 28, 2014. The truck as it was stock. This was the original hood, but I never took any photos of that side of the truck when that hood was on there. A week later I got a set of M…

I just purchased (4) custom FiCarAudio 18's from Jim, aka ZORA. Thank you very much Jim, I am very excited to see how these perform in the van! So here's what's in the van: Alpine IVA-W505 DVD player. I purchased it with the intent of running an optical out cable for audio and Ai-NET cable to touch-screen interface with the crossover, Alpine PXA-H701. All slopes are set to 30dB/oct going against the advice of CUBDENNO, who said "keep it even at 24dB!" sorry but I just can't make myself do it! (4) Vifa XT25TG30 1" ring radiators doing a steep 66dB/oct slope 14kHz on up (yeah, I know, but thats how it is) off a Kicker SX500.2 parallel 2ohms with its 36dB/oct slope adding i…

Right now, the plan is (6) Mayhem 15's and (6) 40.1's. I am lucky I managed to get two more 40.1's over the past couple of weeks. Going to squeeze all the mids and tweets I can get in the doors and where ever else I can find. Pictures will follow soon. . . Brian

Just got a new car so its time for the new build. I now have a 2010 Audi A4 Premium and craving to put a sub in the trunk. First off, here is the car.. I plan on getting a Fi Q 12d2 with cooling and spider. Its going to have a ported box tuned to 32-33hz with a matching black/silver theme built by DonH. The box dimensions are 35x16x12in with the baffle on 35x16. The sub will be wired parallel to a Sundown SAX-1200D. I plan on getting a refurbished one from db-r. Im going to be able to hide the amps in the sides of the trunk behind the panels. If I can hide all wires this can be a very clean semi stealth build. As for electrical, I have 10ft of Stinger Hyperflex and but …

Hello! For those of you who don't know me my name is Mark and I am the man behind "Car Audio Fabrication" on YouTube. I have posted build threads before (like this one: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/57168-video-build-log-fi-bl-rockford-fosgate-focal-knukonceptz-tip/ ) and if you have ever seen one you know that I love to mix in "How To" Videos throughout the build that describe the process and show each step. This build will be no different! well, it will a little bit because I am going to try to mix in a lot more pictures for your viewing pleasure! I love to help other car audio enthusiasts young and old, newb and veteran, so if you see something yo…

If you haven't seen my videos before I hope that you enjoy them and would love to hear what you think! If you missed the seeing the door pods I mentioned above here is how they turned out: http://www.youtube.com/caraudiofabrication'> If you would like to see the in depth process of each step for how I made these door pods th…

New thread for the new build, The quest for insanity continues. I wont build this one for numbers either but will be active at Meca meets and just having fun. The goal here is to be very loud, low and sound good doing it. I'm hoping for 154's but want to do it peaking low, I would like 152's+ around 30hz, but main goal is to sound good, this will not be a burp box. Updated Equipment List for this build Power / Electrical Mechman 370amp alternator, over 200amps at idle.... props to Mechman Adjustable voltage regulator set at 14.7v 4 XS D3400's, 2 XP3000's (may change that up some) 4 runs of power, 2 runs of ground to back batteries wiring is Knu ofc 1/0 and also a lot o…

This is my $600 build. Think I did a pretty good job with the gear for the budget I had. What do you think? SA-12D4 on the AB VFL-100.1 @ 2 ohms in a BHE 2.0 @ 30Hz Enclosure Waiting on a few things to be shipped then the install will begin. Thanks for looking.

Well my 2000 chevy cavalier started life as an ordinary black coupe. Until one day I decided to build it into a bad a** ground pounder. Enough with the weak narrative and onto the pics. Thats the victim. heres the inner box. here is some of the baffle taking shape. exciting huh? sorry about all the pics without narration, I was on a build more talk less type of trip.

This is my 1st hands on build in ~15 yrs, so go easy on me.LOL the intro is a lil long- but wanted to get the story in. I always like readin how and why builds come about. My son/s and I will be tackling a 18" xcon install in my 01 Grand Vitara, referenced to as 'Zuk for short. I bought this lil SUV from a friend with the intentions to drive it for a bit- then hand it over to my oldest when he turns 16 (in about 16 months). I have always had a lil bump in my cars, so it was inevitable that it happen to the Zuk. Alway ran typical box store systems, Alpine, Kicker, Etc. Just started to learn about SSA, Fi, Crescedo, etc about a 6-7 months ago- when I bought my Suburb…

I just picked up a 2003 Lincoln Town Car two days ago. Yesterday I put the head unit and active crossover in, today I should be running the camera wire and sub rca's to the trunk. I'll update with some pics later. I planned and purchased everything for an install in my 96 Eldorado, but it never happened. Now the Eldorado is the wife's car and the system will be going in the Town Car. I have a Ported box for 2 SA10's that I'll throw in for now, but I'd like to fit something up on the hump under the rear deck and do a false floor in the deep well in the middle of the trunk for my extra battery and amps. I'm really debating swapping out the 2 sa10's for 3 or 4 8's in a porte…

I would not call this a true build log as most of the work is already completed, but of course I am proud of the work I have done to the vehicle. I invite you all to take a look at my gallery in the Sentra Stereo album. Any and all feedback is welcome. This is my first build of an entire car on my own. Of course we are never truely finished with stereos now are we? haha. Things I do plan on adding down the road is a new XS power battery and an H.O. alt for the system and I will be done as far as the electrical goes. I hope you all enjoy the pictures and if there are any comments, suggestions, or any tips/tricks feel free to enlighten me of course. 2004 Nissan Sentra Bu…
