I figured I may as well post up my daily over here. It's a 1996 Cadillac Seville STS that I just acquired. So far a have a lil temporary setup installed. The type X 10" will be getting reconed shortly, or I may just throw two SA-12's in the car. I have already been rear ended in the short time of owning the vehicle, and have replaced all the parts. I'm also considering changing the color of the car, but it has to compliment the interior color. More than likely I will just add some pearls and candies to the original color. Head Unit: Alpine CDE-123 Front Speakers: Infiniti Kappa 52.7i Rear Speakers: Infiniti Kappa 693.7i Four Channel: Alpine MRP-F300 Sub: Alpine Type X 10…

This is Grasshoppers's wife's ride. Since he has been doing so much to his truck she wanted a little attention as well. So we are putting a little something together for her. Just a nice system to give her some decent tunes for going to get groceries. Here are a few pics of the Hoe.

This build will not be a rushed one.. I want to take my time, cause I rushed my last build. I have learned alot of stuff from other forums, but from the little time I have been looking at the amazing builds here.. I know I will be busy soon getting this beast running before any audio goes in, but I have also been working on some ideas.. It's not for sure cause if I can get to it I have been in contact with Mike Singer to design me a 4thorder for 12 12's.. I probably will be using some Alpine type R's (older models swr-1242d) for awhile until funds allow me to go further.. Mike said that using the alpines would not be a bad thing cause they do so well in sealed enclosures…

Ok this is my truck. I posted it here before. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I just started the basics I shaved my xm and onstar off the roof. I installed a factory second battery and dual optimas. Looking into dual alternator bracket. installed a pioneer head unit with steeling wheel controls and bose amp interface Uploaded with ImageShack.us I tore out my back seat and am adding a sub. Trying to see what and where I can fit everything. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I finally found my wind noise it was the stupid cab vents. I am looking into soundproofing options. After much searching I have decided to use an adhesive a little like the sds site and cover it wi…

Here's the build log for the volvo so far already have the box built and the subs thumping thanks to "SirLancelot" Running two 12inch fully loaded Fi BL'S! Box is tuned in the 32half hz mark. about 4.4cubic feet all togther after displacement and some bracing(2.2cubic per sub). The subs are running off a Pa 4000w bamf at this moment but not giving the kick i need so i upgraded to the AQ 2200. Okay, so as I'm waiting for my SA-8 to get here (as patiently as I can!) I'll put the build of my center console box for it. It's an old beater minivan for my everyday vehicle, but I'm just trying to have some fun. I don't have the area or tools to do the kind of work I'm used to being able to put out (maybe I'll share some of those pics sometime) since I'm working on some flimsy stands with a jigsaw, circular saw, and sander, but it'll do for this project. And so I begin... The wood...good old 3/4" MDF The sides cut out Test fit of sides

Hey Everyone, I'll be building a system into my (new to me) 2005 Subaru Forester over the next couple weeks. This will be my first build ever so hopefully it goes well and I don't mess things up too bad. Opinions and Suggestions are welcome. Goals: Take up minimal cargo space Don't make it too noticeable to people looking in the windows Create the system so it can be removed and stock pieces re-installed I've never had good, tight bass in my past vehicles. I want to achieve that 'tight' sound more than anything. Components to install: 4 Sundown Audio E8s 2 Peerless SLS 8" Midbass 2 Peerless 4" Midrange 2 Seas Prestige Textile Dome Tweeters Memphis Belle 16-MCH1300 …

This little build here is for a co-worker. He bought the old Hifonics equipment out of the van from me and plans on giving this truck to his son to drive in about a year or less. The system was designed on a fairly short budget, though he didn't want to cut many corners there's still almost $1,000 in it. Equipment consists of a Hifonics ZXi 6006 amp for the components, a Hifonics BXi2006D sub amp, a pair of 12" Hifonics Zeus subs, CDT COM-626 6.5" 2 way components and a JVC KD-HDR60 head unit. He purchased a "custom" enclosure from ebay for an easy fit under the rear seat. It's a sealed enclosure totaling 2.2cuft. net volume (according to the manufacturer) and he rai…

Mechman was kind enough to custom machine a case including powder coating (Mechman Orange) and build me this alternator since it's a rare request for a hyundai santa fe. They had it built from scratch and shipped inside of two weeks! Anyways, a good friend of mine is a certified master mechanic and has some time on the weekend, so he is going to install this for me. It's in a really tough spot IMO, bottom front corner of the engine bay, and believe me, it's stuffed in there. On to the Pictures!

Bit the bullet and decided to do what I have recently dreamed about, 4 Sundown SA-15's on a SAZ-3500d, around 14-16cuft with a tuneable port. Started a few days ago and here is my most recent pic, *False floor is not finished* Oh, also...the box with the 8 was a 2 minute throw together with what I had LOL BTW this is what it looks like from the outside...

The goal 140. My previous attempt netted me a 135 and change at 32Hz. You can see my previous build here: Original Build This time I'm upping the anty with a pair of 18s and double the power. A mind boggling 900 watts. That's 900 old school class A/B watts via US Acoustics USB line. Why you ask? Because, they're cheap. The 2150 average about $100 bucks on ebay and the 2080 were about $40, which includes shipping. Here is a run down of the setup: The car: 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra A.K.A The Cream Puff Head Unit: JVC KD-HDW10 A basic CD player with a built in HD tuner and RCA outputs Amps: 2 US Acoustics USB-2085 both at 80 watts x 2 @ 4ohms (mids and highs) & 2 US…

This is just a quick post on a S10 ext. cab that my son and I help a freind put together. He already had the subs (in a not so good box sealed). He had not done anything to help the electrical, and was very shy on amp power. So we did the Big 3, gave the boxes more air space, and he purchased a pair of affordable matching amps. Here are a few shots of the Big 3 electrical additions: By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 By sefugi at 2011-02-26 Pic of the enclosure/amp rack. FlyBoy wanted the amps to mount between the subs at an angle, so we did our best. Sorry we don't have more pics, but were not planning a b…

well i finallllyyyy get my mustang back in a few days from doing the T5 transmission swap. i have been slowly but surely getting a system together for it. This system is not meant to get loud and rattle everything apart. i listen to country and rock MOSTLY when i drive. but i rarley listen to the music because i LOVE listening to the sound of the V8 under the hood and duel exhaust anyways, here is what i have so far.... 2 12" kicker CVR's 1 kicker ZR240 (oldschool made in U.S.A amp ) and pioneer speakers all around. now my question is should i get a sealed box for the 12's, or ported? eventually (when the money is there) im switching to either 1 RE audio 12, 1 Fi audio…

So i have finally built up the courage to cut the big hole in my cab that i have been wanting to do for about 4 years now... I went to my local DC dealer (that rusty helped me locate) i then ordered some level 3s for a decent deal, then came in a couple days later to pay to find out that rusty HAD just ran out of level 3's and upgraded me FREE OF COST to the level 4s. so i pretty much got some level 4's for half price. so to anyone wondering about DC audio, there customer service is absolutely superb, i cant say enough how freakin excited i am about this deal. Stereo Solutions and Rusty from DC audio, i thank you guys soooooo much, i cant emphasize enough how happy i am.…
