ok since i cant cut outside at my place to work on nicks car ive been goin over to my team leaders house from work and working on his install of all the stuff he has bought off me over the past few months. i won a pair of square brutus 12s and a brutus 1200w amp at the maxxonics show and i sold him the package and told him i would do his install for him. I just recently got a '03 Golf TDI 2 door 5 speed. I figured I would keep you guys updated on what was going on. hi guys im buying a 15 in btl n2 (i used to have a 12 btl n2 but some one rear ended me) but i was planning a box and i want a crx box....but i was curious if the sub placement is best over the back by the port or towards the front....just fyi i like the wow factor i doubt it will go on a meter...oh and the port is gonna be centered on the box with a soundstream 2000d

I'm in the process of completely changing the crx's build so I decided to start a new build log. The old one can be found here: http://www.soundsolu...1-honda-crx-si/ The last thing I did in the build was add the new second amp rack with the LEDs under both amps (which I have yet to get a decent photo of, Sefugi). From there I was just so used to everything and was starting to compete in some comps and with a local in town. First thing that needed to be done was a new front stage, again. Pre ordered the Sundown Audio Neo Pro 6.5" mids with some infinity tweets. Found a great deal on an Alpine 9887 and grabbed that up quick. Before: After: Before: After:

After forever the build is finally coming together. I have an Adcom GTP-450 pre-amp with a GFA-535L for power (60W @ 8). I'm going to do the build using a combination of MDF and Oak. The neighbors shop setup More pics to come soon

I finally got in the amp, midbasses and so on and got to work. The box has been under construction for the last week and is done, finally. 2 cf @ 30hz 25.5 in^2 of port. I didn't want a full height port because it would have been stupidly long. As such I built the port as a separate unit and then made a cutout in the front panel and a flared trim piece to finish it off. Here's the port. Then I laid out the template for the cutout. and made the cut on the router table. I doubled the baffle around the sub and glued the port in place. Replaced my daily driver with a '96 Lumina(my pawpaw car as my son calls it), but I got a good deal and I needed some decent transpo for back and forth to work. Seems everyone in my family has a nice ride but Dad. Oh well, my time will come. Not doing anything crazy here, just some simple tunes to make my commute to work a little more enjoyable. This has been done on the cheap with some simple stuff, but will give the guys my son keeps attracting an idea what they can do without breaking the bank. Good bunch of guys there. I bought the amp used for a very good price. I also found the pair of Clarion subs BNIB for an awesome price so I snatched them up. Here's my system. Not much exciting going on. 2008 Saturn Vue Stock HU Stock door speakers MTX RFL600D 12" Adire Audio Shiva in 1.21 cubic feet sealed The factory speakers sound pretty good, but are little harsh. I do plan on replacing them in the future, but they will hold me over for now. The HU will probably stay. Onto the pics. Like I said, not much, but it will hold me over for a while. The bass knob is way under the dash and is kind of hard/dangerous to adjust while driving (most of my driving is done at 65 mph). I'd like to move it to the center console somewhere so it's right there within arms reach, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it.…

So for Christmas i am super excited to say we bought me a new car..its not brand new but in very nice shape and runs great! ...Plus i was surprised (by jon) with my new box that was designed by jblcamry! I cant wait to see what the car and box can do for my #s. Its a little early as I have not even purchased the subwoofers yet but I'm excited! So here is the plan. Ill be running my 2004 Impala in the street trunk class so I'm limited to 4000 watts. I'll be running two 15" Icons with a nice big aeroport. Still trying to figure out amplifier situation but the Crescendo 3500d seems like a good choice. Full 0 gauge with a group 31 in the trunk. Hoping to do a lot of testing, and have a lot of fun. Representing SSA in the Great White North.

Well im re building.. i have had this planned for awhile but i hate going to build logs with no pictures so i figured i would start it as soon as i get a few. i got all my wood and got it cut today. i have a few pic of it set up in the back of my blazer but not put together. Just to get a feel. my setup is 1 fi btl 18" with a rockford t30001bd wired to 1 ohm. my old box was 9.xx cubes tuned to 32 hz but i thought it was too large so i am building a box that is 7.8cubes after displacement tuned to 30 hz. All i have is crappy cell pic so here they are..

Had a birthday last week an with that money i ordered an DC Sounds 18" LVL 4 with a LVL5 coil. Sub will be pushed by a Sundown 1500. Box is 6.5 cubes@32hz with 91sq.in of port area. Another great design by 90accordman. Sub should be here sometime this week. This is my first 18 so im anxious to get it an see what its like. Now onto the pics:
