  1. Hi All, A while back I had come up 2 designs to build for my 12" BTL. Click Here for Topic on Box Designs This next thing is quoted from the topic on the box designing. so this past week we started the build. pics below. so we started by trial and error on the kerfing. failures are below. then we finally got it right. we did .25" spacing for 4 inches, it should be a total of 17 cuts. and we also left about 1/32" of wood left. very thin. so after we got that right we finally started cutting the kerf for the other boards. we then ran into a snag with the paint can. when we opened it up it was broken. so since its easier to paint the pieces when they a…

I just want to say thanks to all who helped me with this purchase. I absolutely love my Death Row. All I have been doing is driving around listening to music. Everything sounds great on it, and rap is just crazy. I know there are way louder systems then mine, but mine is plenty loud and sounds really good also. Thanks SSA for the great support and great forum, Thanks Incriminator for making such a bad ass product!!! Here are some pics from beginning to end. Box is 2.2 cubes at 31hz, Port area is 25^2 inches. Again, I would like to say thanks to all who helped. This forum is the best I have ever been apart of and the support is awsome. SSA and IA have a new…

Hi guys, here are a few pictures of my install. I changed some wires, changed the fused distribution block. I put a 150 A ANL fuse for the saz 1500. The install is not too clean, but it is not for shows, only for my listening pleasure ! How it was before : and now : Sorry for the poor quality of the pics, I only used my blackberry bold !

This was my original set up. The box was 1.6cuft plus port and tuned to 33Hz. The piece on the right was my amp rack. One problem though with a baby on the way, I need room for the car seat and stroller and I also need to be able to remove the sub for extra space with out loosing all my music! So i built something a little different Counter sunk sub cut out using 3/4" MDF sandwhiched with 1/2" MDF Metal grill insert to allow heat to disapate. The amps have been moved into a false floor to free up more space The new box is 2.6 cuft tuned to 33Hz and goes stupid low! It's not finished yet, got some finishing touches left but i think you get the picture. Any sugges…

  16. What subs should we use for 4th order BP? We want a LOW tune around 25Hz-30Hz. Plenty of airspace available, 2 20"x20" square ports. 2 18's. Run off either one or two AP30001Ds.

  17. "OK, lets revive this build log. I need you to post what you are gonna be running in your wall. I need to know the subs, the amps and the batteries that are going to be used. This is the information i got off of your video, if it does not match up to your Aviator, let me know immediately before i start the build process. Baffle = right behind front seat area Height - 42.25" for baffle height, 38" once over the hump. Width - 50" in baffle location, 44" wide throughout the rest of the vehicle. Width 2 - 41.75" wide if box goes to the headliner.. Depth - 37" on the hump, 63" total. 2 questions i have- Depth - am i to assume that you can use 26" of depth in between the hump…

Hey all ! I'm only about ankle deep in my new build... lol... well, I actually was hoping to get some preliminary advice from you guys, especially in the area of box design. So I'm trying to explore my different options for trunk setup this time around. The 18" Nightshade is a fresh recone done by Steve built to handle 3k daily, with heavy duty spider & tinsel leads among other things... Here are some pics next to one of the old 15" Q's Closeup of the tinsel leads My goal is simply to be balls-to-the-wall loud, of course. Not for SPL competition, but strictly for music. I really liked how low the Q's got off 7 cubes so my key points in designing the trunk setup wi…

Whats up yall. Started the box about 2 days ago, still need about another 2 days to finish everything. Its been raining but it'll be gone by tomorrow. This is my first 4th order enclosure, although I have built countless sealed and ported boxes. I am trying to keep this system lightweight, while still being somewhat loud. I had 2 Fi btls before but it was just too much weight for my car. 4th order is 1 cu.ft for the sealed chamber and 1.8 cu.ft for the vented chamber after sub and port displacement. It is tuned to ~43hz. 2 4" aeros. It is ported into the cabin via the rear seat armrest. Wat? Build consists of: 112 sq ft. of Dynacrap Xtreme Pioneer AVH-P5100DVD Arc Audio…

Here's my system. Not much exciting going on. 2008 Saturn Vue Stock HU Stock door speakers MTX RFL600D 12" Adire Audio Shiva in 1.21 cubic feet sealed The factory speakers sound pretty good, but are little harsh. I do plan on replacing them in the future, but they will hold me over for now. The HU will probably stay. Onto the pics. Like I said, not much, but it will hold me over for a while. The bass knob is way under the dash and is kind of hard/dangerous to adjust while driving (most of my driving is done at 65 mph). I'd like to move it to the center console somewhere so it's right there within arms reach, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it.…
