  2. My little brother is putting a system together for this years competition season. He will be competing in USACI's street beat. Its a 2003 (I believe) Hyundai Accent. He is using a real basic pioneer deck for now with an update in the future. Two runs of 0 gauge running back to a single US-AMPS 6000 pushing a single Hyfonics Goliath 15. Here are a few pics of the progress so far. We are a little behind because of orders not coming in, but it should be done in a week or so. I used the RFL for comparison only, its the first sub to come close to its size but still just a little bigger. We are finishing the trunk in black suede and the amp will "float" behind the …

If you want to see pics of the car, they are posted in the Show Off section. Finally got her in =) and absolutley love her, but the stereo must be swapped, of course. This will be a slow build, so be patient with me. Here is the layout so far: Alpine CDA-9887 Image Dynamics CD1Pro Horns Dayton RS-225s Sundown 100.4 15" Sundown Nightshade (a lil beefed up) Sundown SAZ-3000 On to pics... first off does anyone know where I can get these same straps I have holding down the wires... but a lot bigger... say to fit all the wires in one, or able to lay the wires flat across?? I figured one of you guys would know, these are all I found at Lowes and I am not to happy with how to lo…

  5. so my good buddy Carlos has been wanting to do something different for a while... hes been running a single Dc Audio Level 6 18 for a few months but it wasnt satisfying that itch, he told me he wanted to build a wall but wasnt sure what he wanted, other then the fact that he wanted it to stand out and be different.. haha, no problem.. how about we just build a sub thats never been built before and give it a gorgeous install to go with.. sounds like a plan... onto the pics shell underway, angles angles angles.............. haha, time consuming as a MF some 1/4 monster "L-Brackets, every piece of this shell is 1.5" thick, very strong... all holes filled…

This is a never ending work log that I should of thrown together months ago, but am too lazy to do. I call it work in progress because I feel as if it can never be finished. Most of it is done with, but there is always something I can do to better my install. This is my second install in my Ford Explorer, the first being a single 12" RE SX ported to 32Hz in a 3 cu. ft. box. It was powered by a RE 12.1 amp. Enough about my old install lets get back to my pride and joy. My new set-up is: (2) Two 12" Fi Q Orion 2500d CarPC 400W inverter for Playstation Lilliput Touchscreen My favorite part about my install is my false floor. I wanted to design a floor, so I could easily get…

I've had some equipment laying around for over 2 years, and my wife wants a little bit of bass. I figure I may as well make the most of what I have, which chances are will be more than she'll ever use anyway. Her car: Chevy Malibu Equipment: Alpine 9885 Alpine Type-X 12 D4 Hifonics 2006d Enclosure: ~1.5ft net tuned to 36hz with 24sqin of port. She wants a little bass, and plenty of room to put groceries. Also no wires or equipment hanging out like most drop in installs. This is really temporary until she gets a new car some time this year. The equipment: Of course I had to draw up some plans and it starts at the kitchen table: A MS Paint drawing of what I'm going for…

Hu guys, This is my third box for my sub. It's the loudest one! Now, I feel That I have a really powerful system !!! The design is coming from Bromo. I bought the2 4" ports at Madisound : it was a pleasure to deal with them. Fast (very fast) answers, they shipped my order the next day, and they gave me the choice for the shipper. Loved it ! first box was a L ported box : 3.5 ft3 at 32 hz with sub and port up. It was taking ALL my cargo space and was not really powerful. I can't understand why; it was sooo loud in another smaller car with the same sub. second box was 3 ft3 sealed, firing up or back : I lke it, seems louder than the first one ! More cargo space left, This…

This is a build for the 8" Bravox PXW subwoofer. The enclosure is 0.7cuft @ 30Hz after displacement. Power is 240watt plate amp. Finished!! What you guys think? I'm running it off a 240w plate amp and IT SOUNDS AMAZING. So clean and smooth. Fills my whole room and even rattles the walls. Did not expect this build to have such a good turn out. After displacement it is .7cuft tuned to 30Hz.

Worked well, but wanted more. Didn't initally want to go sealed, but the ported enclosure for the ICON was going to take too much space to work properly. Cut the hole for the speaker. i wanted it as small as possible so it barely cleared the magnet.... i ended up having to make a slot for the wires thou I didn't get any pictures of the speaker ring but it had a roundover instead of being flat and had a kurff cut so it would bend with the dash. Nothing major just a slight bend BUT it made a huge difference in the end result. These pics are in mid sanding thou, the ring was fiberglassed to the dash popped off and i snapped some pics after the first stage of sanding After looking at it on the dash half way ready i realized the orange wasn't going to work... So i painted the speaker while the final sanding and stuff was bei…

The box is not finished yet, sorry not more pictures of the build to busy, but i still have to router the port the top and paint it, and I may even cut an inch of the box out somewhere bc it is a little to tall but we will see. Amps should be where wednesday I hope, and with them i still have to run power and ground to the back and get another battery and a new atternater but atternater will probably be the last thing i buy. Thats all for now but it's in and pounding
