So after ordering parts and doing some small work here and there since August 09, i finally decided to start this build log. It's my first real build. Everything else prefab boxes and no electrical upgrades needed. (two set-ups off of a Crunch p1100.2. my favorite set-up was 2 12" mtx tr55 in mtx ported box). So this current build is a big, giant step for me. All the equipment is in my signature. It's my first box build and i went off of some dimensions that i received here on the forum. Should be around 32 hz (home depot doesn't do exact cuts!!). I wasn't entirely sure what to do for bracing... If i'm not pleased with the sound of this box, i'm more than open to making a…

well the time has come that my stock bose unit is starting to take a crap. its a pretty well known problem in these cars. so i am going to be switching it all out slowly i already have two Fi SSD 10s in a ported box. right now they are being powered by one audiopipe apsm-1300. each only getting 300wrms. which sounds pretty good for now. all the speakers are stock and so is the deck. plans - on its way is - another audiopipe apsm-1300 so that i can run one amp for each sub. (yes i know i could have just got a big enough amp to run both subs. but im not doing that) will be running 1000wrms to each sub a metra dash kit for the new deck. Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794 de…

I just finished up with my install: 2) 12" D2 GCONS in a DC-Creations Sealed Enclosure, all installed in a 2012 Volkswagen GLI running from the factory fender audio system to a LC2i LOC and Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp w/ KnuKonceptz Kolossus Flex 0 ga kit. GCONS: Visually: I placed my order and received the speakers about 25-30 days later, just like the guys @ SSA said. Between the heavy foam surround, to the huge magnet, to the frame, they look SICK. Looks wise, I can't complain, the build quality seems to be great; real heavy duty shit here. When I bought my kicker amp from the car audio shop around the block, the guy I dealt with asked what I was running for subs. So I show…

Just a little build log of what I have done so far, with crappy cell phone pictures. The Truck Making holes to run the wire. Installed grommets for two runs of 1/0, one positive and one negative. Mocked up false floor. Wrapped up and wired up distro blocks. Wired up the stereo Wired up and mounted the amp. finished as it sits now. Still have some ideas to remount the amp/amps. When it gets warmer out Ill be laying down some fiberglass for kickpods and working on mounting tweeters somewhere.

This topic is really for my new upcoming build which will be two Sundown Audio SA-12s on a Hifonics BRX 2400.1D sealed off from the trunk. The box is currently being built by Dave The Box Guy, it will have three different tunings with interchangeable ports (20Hz/28Hz/45Hz). For now, while I sit and wait, I am going to post my current set up just to show you all some of the work I have done so far. I don't have all the pictures since some things were done a little while ago such as, deadening, changing my door speakers, wiring etc. but I will eventually tear some things off and show you how I installed everything. Here it is.... Current build: Head unit: Kenwood K…

I wanted to go ahead and create the thread because you gonna need to finalize your decision(s) very soon as i am onto you now. As far as i know, u want 2 12" BTLS off of a 3500d.... If this is true, it will be fired forward. I'll be rootin through my PMs again to find your dimensions so i can start your build. If you need an entire design done in your trunk, give me ALL dimensions so i can model battery and amp(s) mounting too if u need it, otherwise, i'll just design your box. Let me know what you want it tuned too.. otherwise, i'll tune it to 32hz for daily and interchangeable for competition.
