Hi. I plan on starting a build very soon. It will go in an '06 Jeep Liberty. I plan on revamping the whole stereo. Since this is my first system, I have been researching different products now for about 4-5 months, so I already have a general idea of what i want. I don't plan on doing install myself because i don't trust myself enough, and I really want to do this right. There are a couple good car audio shops in my area that i trust for installation. I listen to primarily rap and music with heavy bass. I have a budget of around 2,500$. A. Headunits A new headunit will be the first thing that i buy. I have researched this a lot and i think i have finally narrowed it down…

Decided to do a stupidly cheap wall build in my festiva for shits and giggles. - 8-10 PW1074US super blues - audiopipe AP30001D - some cheap batteries - some cheap ass mids and tweeters. This build log thread will just be here to show it can be done. The build will start within the next few weeks if not months when I get off my lazy ass. Until then, tune in for the next build log which will be for another member on here, shakes.

I finally got my box painted and put in the truck. This is my first FI product as I did a lot of online reading before settling on a BL. I've had Kicker 12 L7s, Pioneer SPL 10s and old school Kickers. This BL by far is the loudest sub I've had and it hits the lows very well and still has very good musical abilities. I am very impressed with it so far. I set the amp with a DMM and did the big 3 in 1/0. I had dimming before with just the mid/high amp (zr240 on the Focal polyglass 6.5 comps). No dimming now at all. I tuned the box to approximately 33 Hz. It is right at 4 cubes and its the first time I've done anything with fiberglass. It has 5 yards of mat and 2 ga…

This is in my cousins '96 Buick Regal. Thanks to Vertex Audio for the equipment 2 15" IA LI (should arrive any day now) 1 run Shok industries 1/0 1 American Pro VS-1598 Here are some more pics and specs on the amp since it's not a popular amp/brand VS-1598 500rms x 2 @ 2ohms The box is 7ft net tuned to 36hz with 96sq of port. First cut, 1 side of the port Since my table saw was stolen we were using this one- damn it's so nice to use Marking the port 3/4 round over on the port. Trying out the new "jawhorse" thing. It works pretty nice! Also with the small router- really good for laminate and easier to control with my home made base than the large router …

Ok the box was started today, but had to be started later in the afternoon because the installer/builders friend was in a car accident at 3 am yesterday so I told him to take his time and when he feels ready to start on his time. So this is the progress so far. I will be getting one more gallon of resin and order a roll of 19 oz glass mat for the bracing. I am going above the window line as you all can see. I will be triple baffling the face and doubling the MDF all the way around. This thing is a beast. With one baffle the height is about 24 inches, the width is 48 inches and the length is 52 inches. Big as hell I know. lol so get ready this box is about to be beastly. I…

My neighbor wanted a new box for his Caprice to house three 12" Kicker CompVR's. The box he had was three seperate, one cube chambers, sealed. After I built the box, I stumbled across what would be any audio guys nightmare. I have never seen so many failed attempts to cut corners and rig a system, from front to back!!! I spent the better part of two hours removing items, no joke. I brought home 5 amps and two Kroger plastic shopping bags full of wire. After everything was removed, I redone the trunk area. I did not take too many pics, however, He will be bringing the car back next weekend and drop it off for me to finish upgradeing the wiring, as well as a big three up…

I'm pretty new to this website, and I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. I am currently in the process of upgrading my subwoofer setup in my Yukon. I used to have 2 12" Alpine Type E and Alpine 450 watt amp. That was my first setup I ever had, and now that I know a lot more (definitely not everything) I am ready to upgrade. So ever since I saw Steeve Meeades's videos on YouTube, I've always wanted to get a BTL. Recently I've pulled the trigger on getting the stuff I need to do this. Ive paid for everythiing except for the sub itself, because I need to sell my previous setup to have enough money. I put on craigslist for $250, but every time someone offers …

So after ordering parts and doing some small work here and there since August 09, i finally decided to start this build log. It's my first real build. Everything else prefab boxes and no electrical upgrades needed. (two set-ups off of a Crunch p1100.2. my favorite set-up was 2 12" mtx tr55 in mtx ported box). So this current build is a big, giant step for me. All the equipment is in my signature. It's my first box build and i went off of some dimensions that i received here on the forum. Should be around 32 hz (home depot doesn't do exact cuts!!). I wasn't entirely sure what to do for bracing... If i'm not pleased with the sound of this box, i'm more than open to making a…

figured i'm sitting outside the court house wasting time waiting for someone so i might as well type something up here. Current set up is an alpine cda9807 hu. Front door speakers are cdt cox622. The rest of everything now is still bose stock with an arc 4150 xxk already bought for powering the front doors and the kappa 692.9i.'s i've already bought as well for replacing the rear 6x9's. I'm keeping the rear deck 3's and front pillar tweets stock and keeping them powered by the bose amp. Sub change is in progress but i'm leaning to an fi q or sundown z15. Currently have a re se-xxx 12 powered by an audiopipe ap1500. Already bought amp replacement for the ap and have an ar…

Until I go to town I am without kerosene for the heater, so I have a minute to start my build log. Eclipse CD8053 MB Quart RAA4200 CDT Eurosport 07 braxials (I need to find out which tweet these have as I really don't recall, I think I remember drt-26 or perhaps that is wishful thinking) MB Quart RAA1000 MACH5 IXL 12 SL SDS CLD Tiles and EBR MLV and Gymnastic Mat (CCF) The vehicle is a '92 Subaru SVX and a project car if there ever was one. I started gathering some of my equipment two years ago when I still had my '93 Saturn SC2, but reality soon hit that the Saturn wasn't really the car I wanted to go all out on with a stereo install, especially with the leaking sunroof…

Well, I decided I'd go ahead and post up my vehicle and stereo setup. It's nothing big, but it works for now. 2008 Saturn Vue Factory HU Factory door speakers Tsunami and Power Q 4 gauge wiring MTX RFL600D Clarion SW1051 The amp and LOC were installed by L&H Mobile Electronics of Topeka, KS. Good bunch of guys there. I bought the amp used for a very good price. I also found the pair of Clarion subs BNIB for an awesome price so I snatched them up. Only running one for now, and I'm not sure if or when I'll ever install the second one. I'm very impressed with the performance of this sub. Not at all what I expected. I do plan on upgrading the door speakers, but I…
