I recently got rid of my Nightshade 12's and stepped up to a pair of Nightshade 15's. I'm planning on a very loud daily with them and also bassracing in the 139.9 and playing around in 149.9 some. The best burp score I got out of the 12's was a 149.7 on the dash sealed and I'm hoping for a 151 to start on my new box. Here's a rundown of the equiptment that I'm using for the 2009 season: Head unit: Pioneer deh-p6000ub Component speakers: Kicker RS65.2 comps High's amp: Cerwin Vega EXL400.4 Subs: 2 Sundown Audio Nightshade 15's Sub amps: 2 Sundown Audio saz1500d's Batteries: Up front a Deka Intimidator G34, and in back a XS Power D3100 Wiring: 2 runs of Kicker Hyperflex…

So i did a build in my wife's car awhile back. It's a simple build just added a 10" sub for a little added bass. So i am going to start on my wife's car with a custom enclosure in the trunk. Its a 2012 toyota corolla and i will place it in the wheel well area. This is going to be a slow and learning process as i only get an hour or so a day, if that. A few starting pics... So i thought it would be easier for me to take it out to start with the taping and prep work. Also once i get to fiber glassing I would not want it to be smelling like fiber glass in her car.

Nevermind, found it Stealth FTMFW! It's not going to win any best install awards anytime soon....but I was pretty happy with myself for finding that little cubby area to hide it in And yes....everything is dirty and I need to clean. And come to think of it.......I actually think this is the first time I've posted any pics of any of my installs on the forums

Sub stage is 1 Atomic APXX 1078 15" on a DDM4 wire at .7, Toolmaker dual inputs. The enclosure is 5.5 cubes net sub forward custom Psychoacoustics oval aero out the side. XS d3100's under the hood, all toolmaker terminals, 8 runs of SHOK 1/0. 4+,4-. The best score to date for the truck in MECA is a 151.3 @30hz at the headrest. What is everyone's opinion on this build? I will post pics when I get home.

Been awhile buty I'm still around. Pulled the 4 18's out and sold one 7500. Gonne run these 2 X18's on the other 7500 at .5. in a makeshift 6th order. I hate the the idea of flexing the whole truck like other truck before with this box.. So im gonna wall it at the B-Pillar and use the top section and shell it in and make a loading wall. 370amp Mechman Elite and 2 3400's, will add another 3100 for the back.

I have already started work on this, but finally got my sub & amp today! I can't thank Scott from FI & Corey from Sundown enough for working through all the shipping hassles we had during the holidays. So this build has a lot of work still to be done to it, but here is where I am at: The sub in the crate Finally!! Loving the blank inverted Thanks again Scott! In it's new home at last The magus! The whole system, except 880prs, cdt mids and peerless tweeters The duo that I hope will fulfill my low end love I should have more pictures tomorrow as I am working on the car all day. Not just stereo, need an oil change and some other minor tunings also. than…

I hate to do a build log before I am completely done, but it looks like I won't get much else done between now and when I leave for Korea, and when I get back, I will probably upgrade, so the build will start over at that point. Starts off as a stock Jetta with an upgraded head unit. Not the best of head units, but it does what I need for now. It is a Kenwood DDX-418. The GLI model comes with from the factory with a Monsoon audio system. This consists of a factory 8 Channel amp running a tweeter and woofer in each door. It sounded good, and got loud, but there was significant lacking of the low range frequencies. Anything below 80Hz was either distorted, or non existant d…

So I will start a build log, but it may be a few months before it is up and going. I will be installing speakers as install panels, rear deck, etc. Sound deading soon! 1963 Nova SS 327 small block Turbo350 automatic It is really close to being ready to drive. . . Plan is to get the (12) 7" AA mids and (8) Morel tweeters I have in the rear deck, front doors, and front kick panels. Maybe a pair of Havoc 12's or (4) 10" Chaos in the trunk. As soon as I sell another IA 40.1, I am going to buy a pair of SX1250's to match my pair of SX900.4's. I can also use them with my SX remote. Brought it home like this. Have all the glass, 3 hoods, pretty much complete new interior - n…

Well i finally got my truck and got my SAZ-1000D in and my 10" SSA icon. Man it sounds good. I have never heard a sub with such accuracy and overall sound quality. It has a lot of output for a little 10 and i am very happy with it. Anyways this set up is temporary until i build a new box and find somewhere to stick the amp. Box is 1.35^3@32hz. Its pretty good for my 3rd box i would say and i designed it myself. Just got to figure out if im gunna carpet it or paint. Edit - Also my first install that i did everything myself and its still not done. On to the pics - The truck - 01' GMC Sierra with 47k miles. So far all i have done is get the windows tinted and the sub in. …

I used to frequent this site quite a bit as a young basshead, but adulthood changes things as most of you probably know. I still have passion and love for bass and I'm excited to finally be able to put a system back in my car as I'll be driving a lot for my new job. I know the basics of car audio to an extent, but still need some help with some elementary questions and decisions. The plan is to install my 12" SSA GCON powered by a Sundown SAZ-1000D that I ran in my Jeep a few years ago in my current car which is a 2014 Accord. What I do need is a line out converter, a secondary battery, and wiring for the big three upgrade. Here's what it looks like in the trunk …

its been awhile but i finally got my system pretty much done. still got sum stuff to do much nothing major. Im running 2 8" L7's dual 2ohm wired in 4ohm powered by 2 kicker zx450.2 amps in bridged mode. The box is 2.20 cu. ft with a L shaped port tuned to 34hz. Plus this is my first fiberglass project and i gotta say it turned out great. theres 9 layers inside and out (18 all together). need to prep for paint next but im not in a hurry just yet. so once i get the new sub broken in im gonna make a vid. so let me kno what you guys think.

Ok this is my truck. I posted it here before. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I just started the basics I shaved my xm and onstar off the roof. I installed a factory second battery and dual optimas. Looking into dual alternator bracket. installed a pioneer head unit with steeling wheel controls and bose amp interface Uploaded with ImageShack.us I tore out my back seat and am adding a sub. Trying to see what and where I can fit everything. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I finally found my wind noise it was the stupid cab vents. I am looking into soundproofing options. After much searching I have decided to use an adhesive a little like the sds site and cover it wi…

Well, i had subs up, port back in 2 different boxes, then walled and now got design done by robin for 4th order bandpass for 2 bl 18's. Took couple pics when building, will take some pics of all in truck tomorrow. Still got to put other front on, make trim panels and repaint inside of box. But i can do all that while its in the truck. I am using matt and fiberglass on all seams inside, has 1" rods inside, and adding all thread from side to side for extra bracing. Hopefully will be finished by tuesday. Still got lot left to do, but had to put in truck while i had the extra help to move it. So far, just from playing around a little it sounds alot louder, has a total di…

Here's my system. Not much exciting going on. 2008 Saturn Vue Stock HU Stock door speakers MTX RFL600D 12" Adire Audio Shiva in 1.21 cubic feet sealed The factory speakers sound pretty good, but are little harsh. I do plan on replacing them in the future, but they will hold me over for now. The HU will probably stay. Onto the pics. Like I said, not much, but it will hold me over for a while. The bass knob is way under the dash and is kind of hard/dangerous to adjust while driving (most of my driving is done at 65 mph). I'd like to move it to the center console somewhere so it's right there within arms reach, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it.…
