  1. My neighbor wanted a new box for his Caprice to house three 12" Kicker CompVR's. The box he had was three seperate, one cube chambers, sealed. After I built the box, I stumbled across what would be any audio guys nightmare. I have never seen so many failed attempts to cut corners and rig a system, from front to back!!! I spent the better part of two hours removing items, no joke. I brought home 5 amps and two Kroger plastic shopping bags full of wire. After everything was removed, I redone the trunk area. I did not take too many pics, however, He will be bringing the car back next weekend and drop it off for me to finish upgradeing the wiring, as well as a big three up…

A few days ago, I won a pack of damplifier Pro on here. I finally found some time to do a little bit today. Took me about 2 hours just to do this!! I'm going to use more than half for the doors from this pack, then the rest on some trunk areas. Possibly Wednesday is when I'll have a chunk of free time before finals week.

1.9 cubes net tuned to 34hz. Its weird that I have a trend of boxes with the 34hz tune lol. This is for an eclipse convertible so space is a big issue. But yeah, sub up port to the rear. flush mount and all rounded outside corners. 40.5 in^2 of port. I wanted to go more but space was an issue again.

I am starting my first wall build and need a little bit of guidence. The truck is a 1986 GMC S15 ext cab (2wd) The equpiment I'm using is 15" Alpine Type R The amp I'm getting is a two AQ 2200d I'm going to have the drivers wired to 1 ohm. What I really need help with is the building part of the project. I've never seen a wall in person or built one. I seen pictures online and have the grasp of it. So.. if a box builder could help me with the blueprints on my project I can get started. The kinda wall I want is a competition wall, so I was told.. It seems to be a sheet of wood from floor to celing with the port on the driver side.

  12. Hi All, A while back I had come up 2 designs to build for my 12" BTL. Click Here for Topic on Box Designs This next thing is quoted from the topic on the box designing. so this past week we started the build. pics below. so we started by trial and error on the kerfing. failures are below. then we finally got it right. we did .25" spacing for 4 inches, it should be a total of 17 cuts. and we also left about 1/32" of wood left. very thin. so after we got that right we finally started cutting the kerf for the other boards. we then ran into a snag with the paint can. when we opened it up it was broken. so since its easier to paint the pieces when they a…

As I type this, I have yet to figure out how to get the pics of the build so far off the camera and cell phone and onto here, so any knowledgeable folks are welcome to jump in and help me out... Right now the box is together and the inside is painted, and I will be painting the outside with some textured stuff soon, or I'll just carpet it... Hopefully I get these pics on soon.

well, to be honest, i just got finished looking through some of the build logs on here. and i can honestly say that, im a little disappointed in my build. this is really my first time doing everything w/o the help of my dad. hes not really around anymore, so i decided to try and tackle this by myself. ive caught alot of crap about how the box looks w/ fiberglass. i thought it was air bubbles at first to. but i didnt let the fleece harden completely, so it started sagging when the glass was kicking off. so its 100% air void free. i even sanded some down to make sure. i have 2 memphis mojo 10s going in it. i was going to run soundstream tarantula trx1500ds for it, but i dec…

I finally got my box painted and put in the truck. This is my first FI product as I did a lot of online reading before settling on a BL. I've had Kicker 12 L7s, Pioneer SPL 10s and old school Kickers. This BL by far is the loudest sub I've had and it hits the lows very well and still has very good musical abilities. I am very impressed with it so far. I set the amp with a DMM and did the big 3 in 1/0. I had dimming before with just the mid/high amp (zr240 on the Focal polyglass 6.5 comps). No dimming now at all. I tuned the box to approximately 33 Hz. It is right at 4 cubes and its the first time I've done anything with fiberglass. It has 5 yards of mat and 2 ga…

Guess what I got yesterday!!!!!!!!!! Should be going in a 1997 Cadillac Seville These seem to be great and heavy subs, The smaller sub is my old pioneer that is also "1000 watts RMS" .I used it to show how big the Z15 is. Can't wait till my 2200.1 comes in!!!! Also, how does 6 cubes @ 32 hz sound? Anyone know how much port area I need for this?

I have read so many other build logs on here I figured I would contribute by showing how my first build turned out. What Ford deemed adequate for my focus I deemed a bit weak. My old 8" from Ford My new Fi q12 d2 and my audioque 1200d Positive side 1/0 welding cable The 150 amp fuse My rear ground also in 1/0 My box which upon further research my port is too small on My ghetto temporary amp rack Good thing I need to redo the box anyways as I blew out a corner somehow I am not quite sure what I am going to do next to replace this. I am unimpressed with my current output. I don't know if it is from my improperly designed and created box or just that this SQ woof…

So as an effort to show how humble I am when it comes to learning something I am interested in, I would like to start from scratch. I am searching other threads, youtube, etc on builds, terms, etc, but it wouldnt hurt for you all to throw me some ideas. I have my own ideas, but I would like to review different avenues to make sure I will be satistied with my build. I would like to give display my pictures, and my current equipment. This will be my first build ever so hopefully it goes well and I don't mess things up too bad. Opinions and Suggestions are welcome. Goals: Take up minimal cargo space Don't make it too noticeable to people looking in the windows Create the system so it can be removed and stock pieces re-installed I've never had good, tight bass in my past vehicles. I want to achieve that 'tight' sound more than anything.
