Started on these around a week ago and decided to show my progress on here as well. I have posted these on http://www.fiberglassforums.com as well, where I have been doing alot of reading and picking up alot of great info. But this will be slow but constant as i don't get alot of time to work on them right now. So onto the pics... 1st getting the door ready to be cut.. now with the door cut.. And some of the ribs ground off... made a template out of carboard for the shape and cut the base out of birch ply so I can mount it by screws from the back.... Now trying to decide what location of the speakers I prefer, choice 1.. Or choice 2, which is what I think I am go…

As I type this, I have yet to figure out how to get the pics of the build so far off the camera and cell phone and onto here, so any knowledgeable folks are welcome to jump in and help me out... Right now the box is together and the inside is painted, and I will be painting the outside with some textured stuff soon, or I'll just carpet it... Hopefully I get these pics on soon.

Well i built a fiberglass box for my truck a few months ago back when i was in high school still, and it did pretty good on the meter (140.0) but i wanted to go a little louder without having to change setups completely. I decided to build a box to go where my center console was. The box itself is 1.9 cubes tuned to 33 hz (made for my new Fi Bl 12 coming in), but i decided to put in the DP for the time being. There was a noticeable difference in the sound and loudness of this box over my other one, but this one will only be used for competitions, or when i don't need a center seat (can't put the GF beside ya when this is in. haha) So i went and got it metered yesterday. S…

Well I took the wall out after the show on Sunday, and it's time to start building the new box. Me and Alan only pretty much have the new box designed and will build it soon. Box will be 11cubes after displacements with subs behind passenger facing forward, with the port behind the driver facing up. Tuned to 35Hz. And I should have my other 2000 very soon. I'm really excited to get started.

I'm copying this from ***.. Well I guess I'll post up here too. Here's the 'daily'. 2005 Blazer. 4.3 V6 Automatic. A/C 4x4. Its got about 60,000kms on it. My dad and I started on this box. I had wenn_du_weinst design this for me. Its tuned to 35hz, I can't remember if he told me the airspace. Day one looked like this. Knocked a little piece out.. Lookin down the port. Bottom of the box.. Day two I glued the second baffle on, and cut out the sub holes. This is the second time I've used a jig saw, first time was yesterday when I cut out a mount for y CB out of some left over mdf. I think the holes turned out okay? Its all glued inside on the seams. This is what …

I am starting my first wall build and need a little bit of guidence. The truck is a 1986 GMC S15 ext cab (2wd) The equpiment I'm using is 15" Alpine Type R The amp I'm getting is a two AQ 2200d I'm going to have the drivers wired to 1 ohm. What I really need help with is the building part of the project. I've never seen a wall in person or built one. I seen pictures online and have the grasp of it. So.. if a box builder could help me with the blueprints on my project I can get started. The kinda wall I want is a competition wall, so I was told.. It seems to be a sheet of wood from floor to celing with the port on the driver side.

Been working up some ideas and have decided to persue the latest idea. Attempting to be LOUD and PIMP looking but is quite the challenge to both. This one is more focused towards looking nice but should through up some descent numbers too. It isn't an SPL focused setup but surely at some point in time this year I will have something more towards SPL... just depends on how this one sounds. I am anxious to build something so here it begins. Here is my dirty VUE Under the hood Cargo Area The Amps! Slot cutting with guide board held down by Josh... so much faster than clamping/moving lol. Thanks Josh! Testing flexibility More flexibility testing Gravity at work

But here are some pics... Here are some crappy build pics from my cell phone Here are some pictures of the SSD's Let me know what you guys think, the first enclosure already rattles the house. YOu can feel the ground outside the basement pulsate... The first enclosure as been carpeted I am still workin…

I have read so many other build logs on here I figured I would contribute by showing how my first build turned out. What Ford deemed adequate for my focus I deemed a bit weak. My old 8" from Ford My new Fi q12 d2 and my audioque 1200d Positive side 1/0 welding cable The 150 amp fuse My rear ground also in 1/0 My box which upon further research my port is too small on My ghetto temporary amp rack Good thing I need to redo the box anyways as I blew out a corner somehow I am not quite sure what I am going to do next to replace this. I am unimpressed with my current output. I don't know if it is from my improperly designed and created box or just that this SQ woof…

Can't wait till my 2200.1 comes in!!!! Also, how does 6 cubes @ 32 hz sound? Anyone know how much port area I need for this?

I am starting this thread because I am not prepared for the big build, so I am looking for ideas. Yes I said it I am looking for "Ideas." I am new on here and I know some things, but not all. So as an effort to show how humble I am when it comes to learning something I am interested in, I would like to start from scratch. I am searching other threads, youtube, etc on builds, terms, etc, but it wouldnt hurt for you all to throw me some ideas. I have my own ideas, but I would like to review different avenues to make sure I will be satistied with my build. I would like to give display my pictures, and my current equipment. Currently I am thinking about walling my subs off. I…

So I will start a build log, but it may be a few months before it is up and going. I will be installing speakers as install panels, rear deck, etc. Sound deading soon! 1963 Nova SS 327 small block Turbo350 automatic It is really close to being ready to drive. . . Plan is to get the (12) 7" AA mids and (8) Morel tweeters I have in the rear deck, front doors, and front kick panels. Maybe a pair of Havoc 12's or (4) 10" Chaos in the trunk. As soon as I sell another IA 40.1, I am going to buy a pair of SX1250's to match my pair of SX900.4's. I can also use them with my SX remote. Brought it home like this. I am downgrading to have room for my work/ new children. I removed almost everything about a year ago and finally have time to put things in. I have a 6 month old and another on the way, so I have to haul around a lot of kid stuff right now, as well as tools and equipment for work. Box will be ~10ft net with about 115sq of port. It's a bit small, but I need 1/2 of the back for cargo, and I figure it should be fine with the power I'm planning on using and box rise and all. I will have 10 runs of 1/0- Knu Fleks, Shok industries. Only 4 D 3100s for now, but I will be running good alt power. For now I have 2 alts and an MLA module (300a @ idle, 15.6v), soon to be going with D…
