I'm copying this from ***.. Well I guess I'll post up here too. Here's the 'daily'. 2005 Blazer. 4.3 V6 Automatic. A/C 4x4. Its got about 60,000kms on it. My dad and I started on this box. I had wenn_du_weinst design this for me. Its tuned to 35hz, I can't remember if he told me the airspace. Day one looked like this. Knocked a little piece out.. Lookin down the port. Bottom of the box.. Day two I glued the second baffle on, and cut out the sub holes. This is the second time I've used a jig saw, first time was yesterday when I cut out a mount for y CB out of some left over mdf. I think the holes turned out okay? Its all glued inside on the seams. This is what …

I recently did a Cadillac Escalade ESV for a buddy of mine with (2) Fi BL 18's with the flatwound coil and cooling option. Built the box to 14.63 cubic feet with the port tuned to 33 hertz. Wrapped it in vinyl to match the interior of the vehicle and did a big "Fi" logo on the back of the box (notice the logo is an "innie", not an "outie".The amp, for now, is a Hifonics BXI2010D that puts out 1752 watts RMS. I will be swapped with a Rockford Fosgate T40001bd eventually. Built to be a daily driver. Here it is: Sounds great. Real nice quality and it really hits the lows nice, but it just isn't near as loud as it could be with the right amount of power goin…

  8. "OK, lets revive this build log. I need you to post what you are gonna be running in your wall. I need to know the subs, the amps and the batteries that are going to be used. This is the information i got off of your video, if it does not match up to your Aviator, let me know immediately before i start the build process. Baffle = right behind front seat area Height - 42.25" for baffle height, 38" once over the hump. Width - 50" in baffle location, 44" wide throughout the rest of the vehicle. Width 2 - 41.75" wide if box goes to the headliner.. Depth - 37" on the hump, 63" total. 2 questions i have- Depth - am i to assume that you can use 26" of depth in between the hump…

Here is a few pics now that im done. Finally got this damn cam. The alt bracket had to be bent out of the way but it worked. The grounds on the frame are welded on bolts cause I thouht it would be easier. This alt is a BEAST! Thank you Mechman! My power is incredible right now! I hope the regulator isnt set too high. I never touched the adjustment screw and installed it how it was. I thought it came set for you between 14.4-14.9. Is that right? My gauge never gets to 14. It was always over 14 at start up before, but now its just a litle more. Before at 3/4 volume I could get the batt LED light to come on within 5-7 seconds of play. Now...now is a different story.

The port is 34 inches long and goes from 1.5 inches at the start to 3.5 inches at the end, i don't know if that would change the tuning or not. I based it off a 2.5 inch port and took an inch off of the beginning and added one on the end.. Outside dimensions are 22.5 x 22.5 x 14.5 inches. Im not going to do anything else to this box cuz im gonna scrap it. Well this is the first transmission line box i've ever built.. I read the tutorial yesterday on how to build one and didn't think it was that hard, so i built this one this morning in my spare time. Took about 2 hours to cut and assemble the box.. After getting it done i put it in a chevy s-10 blazer, with some kind of off brand amp pushing only about 300-400 (sad but that's all he had. Haha..). And with that little power running to it, everything flexes in his truck, and it's loud from 25hz all the way up to 60hz.. I'm very impressed with t-line boxes, and i find them easier to build than just regular ported box.. Haha.. Specs: Fs of a D1 Fi Bl is 35.2 Box "port" is exac…
