Got a single Sundown 12 on an American Bass VFL Comp 2k I recently purchased, thanks SSA, and I've mentioned before that I've been having grounding issues. Just basically absolute hell trying to get a good clean ground. Now that I think I have a decent ground I think all the money Toyota put into making these cars silent in the mid 90's is haunting me and making it a beast to try to get my full sound out of the trunk! Lol. FML!

So thx to the forums and great people I got from a point where I had no clue at all about car audio half a year ago, to the point where I'm all finished with my first built ever. I'm pretty happy that I did all the work myself, I can be sure there were no shortcuts taken and I know what's what. It took me around 6-7hrs for damplifing front doors, rear hatch and a hatch area, then around 6 day(30hrs all together) to do everything, from wiring, custom baffles, watersealer, just a lot of stuff. Here are some pics of our SPL truck at Tj's audio.. This truck brought home a 3rd place trophy from the USACI World Championship this year. We managed to hit 159.7 db @ 65hz using eight Addictive Audio V2 12's, Four Addictive Audio 200.1 amps, and 1 BatCap 8400.

I'm new to the SSA forum, posting from San Antonio, TX. I recently installed a 12 inch Xcon d1 in my civic, thought I'd let you guys check it out... So far Ive installed a new head unit, sub and amp, speaker amp and 6x9's in the rear, custom trunk floor and "the big three". I've also "sound deadened" the rear deck, rear quarter panels (two door civic), rear pillars and floor with a mix of a quick roof type product, some carpet padding called hair mat and typical 3/4 in" open celled carpet foam. Well woke up this morning ready to start building my new box for my Icon 15 everything was going good, then it started to rain. So had to pull the table saw back into the garage. I only had one last panel to cut for the port. I guess there's always tomorrow to finish it but heres what pics I have so far. i never posted this when i first installed it all over a year ago. originally it was supposed too stay small, but that went out the window. so i will just post some of the older photos first just too give an idea of what it was. in the pics i show only one of many different sub stage setups. the original idea was the pdx 1200rms amp that put out rated from 2 to 4 ohms, so i could run at least one of every type of sub i have as i please. this is my ride this was the equipment. this was the most common sub stage i used with the pdx amp, it is a passive setup, i would rotate from the sdx15 pictured, an eclipse 3hp ti, or a tc3000. and this below is were it stands as of n…

Here is the build log of the setup in my Lincoln LS. Everything was done at Audio Advisors in West Palm Beach, Fl. Been dealing with them for about 10 years now. Here is the story behind the 75 buck truck. The tranny went out in the buick , and my mother in law mentioned a friend of hers had a truck that a junk man was scheduled to pick up for 75 bucks. Well i had every intention of paying 75 bucks and selling it to the scrap yard for 300-400. But when i got to the owners house , he said it runs , but its pouring water everywhere. A shop quoted him 1200 bucks for head gaskets. So i decided to crank it up and see what this truck was all about. Come to find out it only needed a freeze plug!!! Sup... So I totaled my Explorer and broke my arm. BUT, I got a new job, got a new car, and got a (somewhat) new system. i did this a few weeks ago for my uncle and finally decided to upload it. So after ordering parts and doing some small work here and there since August 09, i finally decided to start this build log. It's my first real build. Everything else prefab boxes and no electrical upgrades needed. (two set-ups off of a Crunch p1100.2. my favorite set-up was 2 12" mtx tr55 in mtx ported box). So this current build is a big, giant step for me. All the equipment is in my signature. It's my first box build and i went off of some dimensions that i received here on the forum. This is about 2-3 weeks pre build. But I finally got pics so there gettin posted. when the build begins ill just add to this thread. here is what ive got my hands on so far... all Knukonceptz wire.. 8gauge,4 gauge and 1/0, rca's, fuses, remote, all connectors 220A Alternator This is the only thing i bought used in the entire build so far. has a small scratch on the front, but powers up and sounds good, price was un beatable so i had to get it one more kinetik and some deadener and this all gets put into the vehicle..i would have a picture of the tahoe but it looks like shit right now, maybe another day

2 10" AQ SDC2.5's on a memphis pr 1.1000 all in a 2000 Altima. Dont have all the pics up but heres most. This was for my friends girlfriend. Couple Light coats of spray bedliner, turned out pretty good. As it sits now. Amp mounted on back of box. Overall i think it was a pretty decent install. And these 10's really suprised me with how loud and low they can get(btw box is tuned to 32Hz)

I just ordered an aq 2200 and a btl 18" n2 and I also ordered a khaotik box for my single 18 my electrical I jus have a vmax charge tank t1000 and I'll be doing the big 3 and also be running 0g kicker wire ... It's gonna be awhile till I get everything.. Was jw what u guys think .. And also my buddy has 2 15" ipipes with no electrical upgrade jus is running 0g and I believe his amp is an 5200 power acoustic oo Also I drive a four door blazer and he has a full size surban ..
