  1. Started by ShaneSauce,

I figured I would go ahead and put up a build log since some of my stuff came in today and I plan on being done with this project over the next month. Well I'm 16 years old and this is my first car a '97 Toyota Tercel, I got this car from my grandma as a gift and I couldn't be happier with the 40mpg I get. (1.5L 97hp lol) There is a couple things I plan on doing to it like a new paintjob and some rims and a tint job, etc. The first thing I'm going to do is give it a little acoustic upgrade on a slim budget. My planned setup HU - Pioneer DEHP3000IB Front Stage - 4" Kenwood KFC1682 Back Stage - 6 1/2" Kenwood KFC1682 Mids Amp - Kenwood KAC 500 Sub Stage - 1 15" Fi SSD Sub …

finally done with my exams and i can start work on the car. objectives : a "budget" active system as stealthy as possible nothing much at first. progress is very slow because of some family "issues" keeping me away... first up, mounting the head unit (alpine 9813 i found locally) : dash ripped apart, so i can fabricate some brackets to hold the hu in place head unit running the stock speakers...just a quick test before the end of the day

I've have been getting requests to see what going on with the car since the big audio build, so here are a few pics. No 160 page build log. No 160 dbs. Just having some fun with the car. There will be a little audio but nothing really planned at the moment. Keep in mind this car has not seen daylight since World finals in Indy, 9 months ago. The last month or so I have been restoring the intetior back to new factory. No expense spared here. I wanted every little detail done nice. Carpet, seats, misc trim pieces, ect... Three weeks ago we welcomed our newest addition to the Mead family so a lot of time will be with the family and not in the garage. Now that that's out o…

  6. I have been a busy man the past month and thought I would share the results. It's been cold and wet so the pics are going to be limited. Work was more important since time was a factor. Next house will have a BIG garage. Working in the elements has it's challenges. Lets get this party started. I decided I wanted to try the XCONS out sealed and I sure am glad I did. I still have HUGE output and the SQ improved in a big way. Nice tight bass that you feel in your gut. Amazing. Dont listen to that bullchit that you need a big ported box to get the XCONS loud. That is just not true and the people saying it have no experience actually doing it. These MF'ers wang in a sealed box…

Hello All! I was able to trick Santa again this year, and he kept me on the nice list. With some help from the gents at SSA, he brought me 2 new XCon 12s....WooHoo!! It's finally time for me to get building and put these suckers to use. This will be my first time building a box, but this creates a perfect excuse to buy more tools. I would like to reach out to you guys and get some experienced advice to help in my first quality build The car is a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe. It has the Bose Monsoon system, which isn't terrible for a factory unit. Unfortunately, all of the cars display features are integrated in the factory's HU display. For this reason I will be k…

What a better date to start a build log than your birthday. The vehicle is a 6th generation Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter engine running on LPG. My goal is to have a nice, clean and loud system. I am limited to finances, so it will be a slow one, but with passion and desire to learn. I am first importer of Sundown Audio in Bulgaria, so I will try to represent the brand as best as I can. Hoping to one day have my own little shop for car audio and install, and Sundown as my main brand? For now I have a single SA-12 with the new stitched cone, SAZ-1500D, and two 10" Neo Pros which will go in the doors. 88A battery up front, single run of 0ga to the amp, upgraded engine wires.…

So last January I got the new 2014 fusion SE almost all loaded out. I'm doing an audio upgrade but started this week since it's been so damn cold out. It'll consist of: 2 15" DSS Ethos DD m3b Sundown SA6.5 comps (passive) Incriminator IA 3.4 Stock alt (I think 140) Die Hard Platinum G31 2/0 welding supply wire Stock H/U with LC2i I will upload pics later tonight if I get time. I'm finishing the box now. Just putting some extra bracing in then top goes on. Box is 6.5 cubes tuned to 31hz with 2 6" PVC pipes. I know it's not the best but it should do just fine.

  24. So I figured I'd start the build log for this car, Its gonna be a little slow to begin as the first big step for the install is going to be a pain in the ass. For those that were looking forward to the bronco build, and wondered what happened to that.. well the truck was wrecked, and the body work that is needed to be done is now quite extensive. So the work on that will be to bring it back to its original beauty before any audio work is done. The car is an 2013 all wheel drive Chrysler 300 with pearlescent white paint. (uploading picture atm) Already has the Team SSA sticker on the back window (uploading picture atm) My current temporary plans for the audio ar…
