I have posted a few times for direction and info and such and figured I would make a build log just to keep up wih whats going on with the car. Right now the car is more performance than audio but Im soon to even it out haha Right now I am running 2 Kappa VDQ12s off a Punch Power 500a2 (black and grind) My projected plans so far consist of: 3 SA8 1 SAX1000D As of right now I havent set in stone what Im going to run for highs nor what deck I will use. Started this box Saturday evening for a customer. He has an 03 or 06 or something Expedition with the 3rd Row and was wanting something custom back there. first thought was to do a fiberglass amp rack in between teh woofers. After an initial test fit it was outta the question. Circles arent perfect as my jasper jig wont be here until tomorrow and i still have a few more things to do before he pics it up tomorrow. Words cannot explain the satisfaction of having a box that is built exactly to a sub's liking! lol I hate that we didn't just do this first! lol My teammate Anthony threw this together for me with what used to be the 3rd row wall box. All birch.....S port ....double baffled box....4.5 net tuned to 28hz! This thing is sex!!!!! Well the time has come for me to go ahead and show some progress with the truck. This thing has been through hell and back with me from repairing the lower intake manifold to having its fair share of abuse from low tuning. The first setup consisted of 3 18's on 2 AQ 2200's strapped with a single XS D3100 in the back for support. Let's just say this didn't work and had me reconing the subs. Best recorded score of the 3 18's before blowing them. Sadly, I bought an alternator that was actually sitting in the backseat at the time I was giving a demo and blew the subs. Unfortunate for me, it was a fuckin Tenney that didn't work! It looked nice and legit though.…

Ill be working on puttin 2 15's in my trunk soon, and it may take me till the end of this summer to finish it. So for that time ill need the trunk empty to measure and test fit. so until that gets done I'm going to put 2 E8's in the center of my back seat IB. pics so far Thats all i can do for now. Well i know yall are gonna say sony's are peices of chit lol but its a big step up from my freinds Dual brand 12's lmao but heres the box me and him built for the 10's he might be putting 2 10" rockford p2's to replace the sonys soon but im not sure.. heres some pics.. and just so yall know this is the first box ive ever built Starting off.. drawing plans drawing and cutting the baffles in the port and sides top bottom and both front and back sides cut out.. cut out the sub holes with a jigsaw. all of the baffles are 2" spread from eachother and 2" from the walls of the box. drilled a hole for the speaker connecter.. sealing all the edges with silicone and glueing/…

If i have mark build my enclosure is it going to make a big difference on how it sounds in/out side of the car? My friend has a 10w7 and hes louder outside the car.. You can hear him anywhere. Will i be better off just having mark build my enclosure?

well i reconed the second apx 10 yesterday and decided to build the box today. i actually went and drove on the interstate to see how it sounded. the box is 4.25 cu ft after all displacements with two 4 inch aero ports. i do need to add more bracings to the top and bottom pieces though. i will be doing the added bracing tomorrow. I have two braces in the box now. In the last pic it only shows one, but i have one right next to that brace going from the top to bottom.

This is another build I'm doing for a friend of mine. I'm doing an audio and hydraulic install for him. Goals... Put a clean and simple system together. Keep wattage reasonable to avoid large electrical upgrades. Good overall sound quality and output. Use as little space possible for audio. Got the box started. Using 3/4" birch plywood with a double baffle. Here is a shot of the backside of the sub for those who haven't seen one of these subs yet. Well, this summer was going to be my time to, "complete," basically meaning upgrade, my build from last summer. Unfortunately, and fortunately at the same time, due to a few complications, I'm going deeper into audio than I had anticipated. Well decided to take my stuff out of my 09 Ford Escape and see how it sounds in my s10 for a couple of weeks. I Know the battery needs moved and its unsafe on top of the box but this was just a throw in setup to see how it sounds. It will be secured down tomorrow. The truck is only used to pull my kubota bx25 from job to job so it doesn't get used every day but have to have some kinda tunes. The only thing that i don't like is the subs are quad 1ohm coils but they read 1.2ohms and the final ohm load is 2.9-2.6ohms depending on the mm i used. So with out another battery and a bigger alternator they arn't getting all the amp has to offer but it does get LOUD System includ…
