Alright, box is still in planning stages. But just got the sub and amp in today. I loves me some 15" atomic This will just be a trunker in my 97 Grand Am, nothing serious, that's what I bought this for But yeah, build on that won't start until spring

well i thought i would start a build log since im about to start my first set up that should get kinda loud. i have a 1997 honda accord v6 that already has a kenwood kdc-mp242 and some alpine sps-600 speakers in the front doors running off the HU power. i will be running my subs off my alpine mrp-m500 for right now til i sell it and buy a new amp in late february. equipment going in my car: 2 skar vvx-12 1 aq1200 1 set of 6.5's (undecided) and putting the alpines in the back 1 2 channel amp (undecided) heres some pics of the subs if you have not seen them yet i will start building the box tomorrow since i have to clean this out first :facepalm:

Got around to building the box today for my BL15. Anywho on with the good stuff... Overall I'm really impressed with this thing. I like it alot. I will carpet it later I just wanted to get it in and start breaking it in. It wangs . --edit-- The 6" Aero is in the box as well. It's not sealed

If i have mark build my enclosure is it going to make a big difference on how it sounds in/out side of the car? My friend has a 10w7 and hes louder outside the car.. You can hear him anywhere. Will i be better off just having mark build my enclosure?

2 10" AQ SDC2.5's on a memphis pr 1.1000 all in a 2000 Altima. Dont have all the pics up but heres most. This was for my friends girlfriend. Couple Light coats of spray bedliner, turned out pretty good. As it sits now. Amp mounted on back of box. Overall i think it was a pretty decent install. And these 10's really suprised me with how loud and low they can get(btw box is tuned to 32Hz)

Well decided to take my stuff out of my 09 Ford Escape and see how it sounds in my s10 for a couple of weeks. I Know the battery needs moved and its unsafe on top of the box but this was just a throw in setup to see how it sounds. It will be secured down tomorrow. The truck is only used to pull my kubota bx25 from job to job so it doesn't get used every day but have to have some kinda tunes. The only thing that i don't like is the subs are quad 1ohm coils but they read 1.2ohms and the final ohm load is 2.9-2.6ohms depending on the mm i used. So with out another battery and a bigger alternator they arn't getting all the amp has to offer but it does get LOUD System includ…

First off i would like to appolgize to Ant at Second Skin for taking so long in making a build log, the average 25 degree weather made it difficult. But never mind the complaining. I already have used the damplifer pro on my car already so i know this stuff is legit. I opened up my package and noticed it was the black foil. Had a slightly different smell compared to the regular silver foil (don't ask how i noticed). But anyways lets get started! Heres a couple pics of my car....

alright so i currently have the rl-p in 3 cubes sealed. sounds sweet, just not that great of lows and just a tad under how much output i wish to have. i am currently writing up 2 box plans 1 of which i will choose and build tomorrow. they are as follows. 4 cubes at 30hz with 55.5 square inched of port area 3.5 cubes at 28.5hz with 40 square inches of port area. see any problems with the designs or favor one over the other? opinions? this build is in a hatch and it will be sub up port back. double baffled and 45's at the all corners if i can help it (limited tools here) also if interested, to see what im dealing with, check out my gallery for unfinished pics of the curren…

after my whole system was stolen I'm completely re building (see sig.) So far i have 2 infinity 7521a amps, pioneer DEH 6800 MP deck, 4 RE SR 10's. A buddy of mine at a local shop might hook me up with 2 Rockford 500.1's around 700 RMS each. He's also building me my custom ported box and a flush mount amp rack... I've never had 10's before, what do you guys think?

Alright so i'm going to buy an 18" fi bl before summer, but i want the plans for the setup before i buy. My box is 31"H 35"W and only 17"H, and will have a 3" port going along the 31"H, tuned to ~30hz. The sub will be on the same side of the box as the port, is that a problem? The only thing i could think of is that, im taking up 2 seats in my quad cab dodge ram for this, and because of the seat it will be set at an angle. Will the sub perform right, and what should i do, if anything, to my box since it will have the strain of an 18" sub on it. The only way i could get around this would be if i put it in the bottom corner opposite the port.. how does where i put the sub …

Started this box Saturday evening for a customer. He has an 03 or 06 or something Expedition with the 3rd Row and was wanting something custom back there. first thought was to do a fiberglass amp rack in between teh woofers. After an initial test fit it was outta the question. Circles arent perfect as my jasper jig wont be here until tomorrow and i still have a few more things to do before he pics it up tomorrow.
