  1. Started by Julian,

I just wanted to give a little bit of a review on the new Rockford Fosgate pro audio. My doors are deadened with SDS and that's it, The speakers are installed off axis with the RF 8" mid and the RF Pro audio Tweeter up top. I am running them actively off of my Pioneer Premier DEH-880PRS, I am powering them with my Boss (zed built) Havoc-665 (100x4). The X-over points (roughly) for the mid is 50hz-5khz and Tweeter is around 5k and up. I played several different Genera's from rap to rock and electronic/dubstep music. I first started off by listening to Brown Eyes by Lady GaGa. The kick came through strongly with the piano coming in smoothly. The guitar made my back hairs …

I have ran Audioque for quite a few years before they went overseas but that doesn't mean that things started to fail either... The HDC3 line is stated to be more efficient than the USA version, the HD3 line. I never did a comparison so i don't know the difference. However, this is what i do know about the HDC3 line because I also used to run 2 of the Copper Coil 12s. Audioque subs, in general, are HEAVILY underrated just like many other speakers on the market. It all depends on how you set your gains and monitor your equipment. My impressions on the HDC3 sub- It doesn't take a lot of power to get the sub to produce a decent sound. At only 500w available, this sub still…

Right now, I'll just let everyone know exactly what I told Mark previous to him sending the final specifications to the buildhouse. I am in love with this driver Mark. Low frequency authourity during movies is very good and blends extremely well with my BIB CSS FR125S drivers (completely transparent). It suits my listening habits very well. I have only tried it in a sealed enclosure, but I do not feel I would gain anything for my own personal tastes going with a vented enclosure. Power handling wise, I don't think I could approach the driver's limits with what I have (1300W @ 4 ohms), the driver is a beast. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it would be one of the best SQ 10…

Here she is: It's in a 2.2 net tuned to 32hz. Powered by an MD2, set to get about 1200w. Pretty **** beefy when I first saw it, like a chubby kid back in those elementary school days. Quality looks excellent. Dropped in it, I've let it play 20hz tones here and there for a little over 10 hours now. Been listening to it gradually and it's been pleasing. The low-end is defining not lacking and for what it's worth, I think it's a low-end monster. So the suspension's loosened up a bit, but still a bit stiff (it was very stiff brand new). I was surprised by the output of this thing. Compared to my 2 12" RL-p's in 1.5 sealed with 1.5kw, they definitely keep up in terms of ou…

Alright so here it goes. As soon as I unpackaged them I saw the quality of these subs. Good solid construction, spiders, tinsel leads, everything seemed perfect. Currently, I am using two 15" Icons and tuned them really low at 27hz and wow, musical reproduction is amazing. Obviously, great output at the lower end and plays kick drums flawlessly. My girlfriend listens to some hardcore music, and these subwoofers easily sound the best and pick up on every note that should be played and dig down low on those bass drops. Overall, phenomenal subwoofers with both sound quality and output in mind. Id recommend these subs for anyone, the absolute best subwoofers iv owned …

  7. So I've been using both equipment for a week now. I'll start with the XCON. It is in a 2 cu. ft. Net and tuned to 32 hz. It sounds amazing from higher bass notes to the low notes. Ppl can't believe its one 12 even though they are staring at it. It has a very nice deep tone with very good accuracy. The lows are INCREDIBLE! This subs moves so much air. I haven't listened to any bass so far i didn't like with this speaker. I like a lot of rock and rap. Not to mention it looks great. Didn't seem to take long to loosen up. I love it, just wish I had one more. Now on to the amp. I previously had a mtx thunder elite 1501d running at 2 ohms. All i did was Change the sub, box, and…

My review for tejcurrent's dual / triple alt bracket and HO alt. First I need to say that Troy is a great guy and was excellent to do business with. His communication was excellent and kept me updated on any delays and always answered my emails promptly. The time frame to get the product could have been faster, but I knew going into this that he had a job and family. I was okay with all that. Some things are out of his control at the moment, but he is learning how to deal with it. I wish him the best going forward. He is a super guy and went above and beyond helping me get an excellent bracket and alt installed in to my truck. I feel very safe in saying that Troy will sta…

What can I say?? Im 100% completely impressed and blown away by Soundqubed products.. This HDC3.115 is actually too much of a sub for me. Im pushing it with a 2600w rms Hifonics Brutis BXi2610D amp and its all I can do to stay in the damn thing. I bought my sub, box, and amp used. I have $220 in my sub and box and $125 in my amp. The quality of the workmanship and build of the HDC3.115 Subwoofer is very impressive. I definitely recommend it to everyone who is interested in a good cheaper spl sub.. For $299 new shipped free it gets my vote. Although I think im ready to step down to a single HDS310...im getting to old for this ish.. Lol

Incredible describes it. Something happened (unknown) to my sub, most likely something thermal, and it broke. I sent it in a after an extremely polite and helpful call to Scott. The basket broke on the way there somehow even though the sub was shipped in a box with a wooden frame built in it (stupid USPS). He didn't even charge me for that. He completely rebuilt the sub for free... Under warranty. He told me this by actually calling me. No other company has done that for me before. Anyone who complains about the service of this company is ignorant and has obviously not dealt with them before. Incredible company in every area. 500% satisfied. I normally don't write reviews…

Hey Guys i wrote this review for my home car audio forum in Australia, so prices are in Australian but i thought it would be a good idea to post it up here as this is my perfered international car audio forum. I hope you all enjoy Introduction Having spent a considerable amount of time listening to the IXL18 I was interested to see how the smaller IXL10 compared with its bigger brother. I was always very impressed by the IXL18 and I was optimistic about how the IXL10 would perform. I was hopeful that the IXL10 would be able to replicate the sonic character of the IXL18 in a smaller enclosure. Although I have a Mach5 SPL15 I had been looking for a smaller subwoofer for a …

Ok, so I'll start from the beginning. I bought this sub a few months ago, near the beginning of January. I bought a 12" Q, Dual 2. The people of Fi: Being local, I got to meet Scott, and one of his workers. Scotts a great guy, down to Earth, and just extremely outgoing and friendly. He answered all my e-mails, even though the poor guy must get like 200 of them a day. He showed me around the warehouse, how they assembled the subwoofers, and even put part of mine together right in front of me. I left the warehouse extremely satisfied with Fi as a whole, but how good are they at making subwoofers? I'll explain in this review First Impressions: The sub is pretty beef…

Hey all. So these finally came back in to stock and I jumped on one time I saw it. My vehicle - GMC Yukon with 5.3 My Irraggi Amputator was charging real nice first thing in the morning getting up to 14v then a few minutes later, it would settle in at around 13.6v and stay there pretty much all day. I was not happy and was considering buying another alt. I purchased the VCM from the SSA store and as usual communication and ship time were first class. Installation was straight forward taking around 15-20 minutes. There is really no way to install it wrong as it's plug and play. I mounted it temporarily as I wanted to find the sweet spot as to where to set it to charge. I w…

The Tang Band TW 25-1743S is not Beryllium at all. It's a beryllium copper alloy that is typically 1.8 to 2.0 % beryllium by weight! Here's a message that I sent to Tang Band and their reply. Dear sirs/madams: Kindly be advised that the Tang Band TW 25-1743S (http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/25-1743s.htm), which you advertise and represent as a Beryllium Tweeter is not Beryllium. Your claims are false and deceptive. The dome material is actually a common material used in everything from electronic toys to termination in several electronic system products. The material is actually Beryllium Copper, also known as BeCu; CDA 172, CB101, ISO CuBe2, CEN CW101C, A4/2, b…

Sorry Aaron for the overdue review on the US Acoustics Mike amplifier as it's been sitting for a year and a half in my closet. Thanks to SSA and Aaron for this great product wonderful customer service as usual, I didn't have any problems with my order and the shipping was fast. Product was packaged as it should be double-boxed without any signs of damage. Now onto pictures of this little guy, it has more weight to it then you would expect. First impression: The Arc Audio 4050XXK and 2050XXK are quite beautiful amplifiers, although the pictures cannot pick it up. The heatsink fins are machined aluminum, but they have an almost chrome shine to them. The amps have a nice solid feel with the exception of the bottom plate, which is an access panel to the internal workings of the amplifier. As far as the connectors go, the rca inputs are very high quality and have a nice solid feel to them when plugging in male rca connectors. I was surprised to see screw terminals on such a well built amplifier. They work ok for a lower power amp like this, but I would only hope that the larger XXK amplifiers would have e…

  22. Hi I bought an Incriminator Audio I 10" about a month ago from SSA as a temporary sub while my two SSA Icon 15" subs were being built and WOW. For a little 300rms 10" this thing pounds, have about .75-1" of roof flex in my Dakota Crew Cab. Built a box I designed which is around 1.25 cubic feet net tuned to around 31hz. I've been beating the crap out of this thing with decaf songs, Young Jeezy etc and it sounds awesome, and is taking the abuse of around 400rms. Would definitely recommend this for a budget friendly sub. Bass is tight but still gets really low and loud. Hopefully this will help someone who's looking at them.

I purchased the Boston Acoustic pro60se component system from Sonicelectronix for 289.99 about four months ago and i feel like i've had enough time with the set to make a reliable review. The bad news is that this is the first after market component set that i've really had any true experience with so this review may not have a whole lot of value. oh well The set has been running off of an old Alpine 3522 its entire life, so there is no doubt that they aren't getting their RMS (125 watts at 3ohms). The set was installed in the front doors in replacement of the stock speakers in my 2004 explorer. No modification was needed; they were pretty much a bolt on. and the tweet…

SECOND SKIN GIVEAWAY REVIEW!! (Sorry if it takes a while to load there are a few pics!) I am no stranger to this wonderful product... having two full layers in the trunk, generous amounts on the front doors and rear trunk wall I've really enjoyed what a big difference in sound quality Damp Pro has made. Before I installed it, pretty much every panel on the car would vibrate incessantly and after futile attempts at fixing the problem with weatherstripping and rags I decided to order a pack last summer. I'm very grateful to Ant at SSA for choosing me as a winner in the giveaway contest, and for allowing me to finally complete my sound deadening endeavor. I chose to install…

I bought 4 12" Gcons the hour they were released, and have been using them everyday since having them show up at my door. Competitive burping, ground-pounding, demoing both spl and clarity, and I'm more than happy with my purchase. If you can see through the vlurred bision these subs cause you can literally watch your car shake apart!
