Aesthetics & Design I placed the order straight from the Sound Solutions Audio store on the 13th and it was shipped same day and I later received it in about 3 business days. Upon opening the double packaged box, I was glad to see it packaged very well with strong although soft foam on both corners and one directly in the center. In the box there was included hardware and allen keys for the terminals, also there were "Docking Pads" to reduce amplifier vibrations. The listed dimensions of the amplifier are 16.4 x 8.9 x 2.2 and weighs in around approximately 15 pounds. I was greeted with a very aesthetically pleasing and simple design. The top has machined heat sin…

Intro: Today I will be testing 14 different brands of 1/0 power wire. The brands I will be testing are brands that I have found in builds on this forum and have been recommendation to test by other members on the SSA forum. Lately on the forums I have been noticing people asking a variety of question in regards to 1/0 wiring as in to flex and a comparison of different brands of wires and how thick each wire is in comparison to other brands. So I thought it was time for side by side wire comparison of different brands of wire that I have commonly found in use or have been suggested to me by others. A little background about myself I have done about five different builds …

My sub is finally here! Audibel Customs Customer Service: I genuinely respect Quentin for being a very busy man and still getting back to his customer e-mails on the same day. It shows that customers are a big priority. Answered all my questions, and made this process very easy for me. Will definitely buy from again.A++ Custom Box: My custom box that Quentin made is not a box you would normally see since it was for a single cab with limited amount of mounting depth. Quentin made it possible for me to still jam in this little amount of space. Great sturdy box with a luxury look. Thanks Quentin!!!A++ SSA Customer Service & Product: On only about 600 Watts this thing…

Sorry Aaron for the overdue review on the US Acoustics Mike amplifier as it's been sitting for a year and a half in my closet. Thanks to SSA and Aaron for this great product wonderful customer service as usual, I didn't have any problems with my order and the shipping was fast. Product was packaged as it should be double-boxed without any signs of damage. Now onto pictures of this little guy, it has more weight to it then you would expect. Pictures first then review will follow.

What can I say?? Im 100% completely impressed and blown away by Soundqubed products.. This HDC3.115 is actually too much of a sub for me. Im pushing it with a 2600w rms Hifonics Brutis BXi2610D amp and its all I can do to stay in the damn thing. I bought my sub, box, and amp used. I have $220 in my sub and box and $125 in my amp. The quality of the workmanship and build of the HDC3.115 Subwoofer is very impressive. I definitely recommend it to everyone who is interested in a good cheaper spl sub.. For $299 new shipped free it gets my vote. Although I think im ready to step down to a single HDS310...im getting to old for this ish.. Lol

I am very pleased by the sound of the gcon. It is being powered by the rear channels of a US Acoustics Barbara Ann amp. It makes bass come alive while producing fantastic sound. Oh it can get window shaking loud. A dcon on steroids !

  8. I ordered an XS Power XP2000 on July 2nd and received it today on the 9th. Shipping only took three days and the battery came with absolutely no damages. It sits new at 12.8 and is going to be used as supplemental power for my Sundown 2000d. This battery is huge imo and its weight is no joke. Cheers to SSA again for the great CS. I'll let the pics do the talking.

  9. Ok guys, here is MY personal Review of the Taramp HD8000 I personally own Three of them. I purchased two use from DangRebel here, and the third directly from Shizzzon. One of used ones from DangRebel went into protect immediately upon hooking up. And the BNIB from Shizzzon also went into protect while demoing Sunday afternoon while at Slamology. Here is a few pictures of my installation for Reference. On the chargers. So to explain my experience in total. My system consist of One DC Power 240XP, 100ft of 3/0, Ten Batteries. I also should mention I run each amp at 1.5 ohm, the amps are the Two ohm version. Now, the drive down to Indiapolois is a…

Little background on my current setup, Two ZCON 12's wired to 1 ohm, 1 Mechman 320 amp alt with run of 4/0 positive and negative the rear, one Odyssey PC1800ft (a second sitting in my shed), and one Diehard Platinum 65. The back story/Good I ordered my HD8k from DJSTAGE Gear I paid about 8xx for it and it shipped from Florida and took a dismal week plus out here to California. When I got my package, it was well packaged; although minimally. My first thoughts, extremely light and overall better build quality than the TS4 channel. The pots seemingly had much less play than the 4 channel which was great news. Also the Power, Clipping, and Protection is a nice touch, while …

I had a bxi2010d amp before and loved it it was a beast then i sold it to get a 1200watt hifonics Zeus amp thinking that it was gunna push 1200watts to each of my soundquebd hds3 12's and i found out that wasn't true so now I'm looking into getting the hfi2000.1 or the zrx2400.1d do yall have any input on these amps? I'm looking at not spending more then $220 for an amp that's why I'm choosing these unless u know of other great amps on the cheap please let me know

So anyways I traded my A3000gti amplifier for two Soundstream REF 2.640 two channel amps and a pair of the REF 1.500 mono blocks.... all I can say is I'm really impressed, the REF 2.640's are nothing short of amazing on the top end and the REF 1.500 are every bit as impressive on the bass love the damping on these things , everything sounds tight and un colored symbols , guitars , drums as well as lots of hidded instruments and vocals uncovered best part is there is absolutely NO noise floor....dead quiet they run on the warm side and they can really eat the juice ...I see a second alternator being installed soon I remember what my old school Reference Amps sounded…

  13. Started by Julian,

So I recently purchased a TS 400x4 from DJ Stage Gear. Shipping was fairly quick even though it came all the way from Florida to California. My first impressions, extremely tiny, lightweight, relatively cheap, and seemingly well built. I like the look of the machined aluminum with the rubber isolating feet. It stays very cool which is quite nice. The bad: Starting with gain knobs, from the very lowest setting there is NO sound kind of like a volume knob. So you have little room to gain out any line noise, which in my system apparently there is a lot. There is a very loud staticy sound as if the gains are turned up too high, even with it mostly all the way down. When i…

  14. As many of you know Rage Gold is one of the best body fillers you can get. It has amazing sanding qualities that lead to a professional finish in a timely manner. But there is a bunch of hype about a new body filler on the market called "Matter" from Sonus Car Audio. Can it stack up against Rage Gold? Lets find out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey89Kr9wvjg

  15. So I've been using both equipment for a week now. I'll start with the XCON. It is in a 2 cu. ft. Net and tuned to 32 hz. It sounds amazing from higher bass notes to the low notes. Ppl can't believe its one 12 even though they are staring at it. It has a very nice deep tone with very good accuracy. The lows are INCREDIBLE! This subs moves so much air. I haven't listened to any bass so far i didn't like with this speaker. I like a lot of rock and rap. Not to mention it looks great. Didn't seem to take long to loosen up. I love it, just wish I had one more. Now on to the amp. I previously had a mtx thunder elite 1501d running at 2 ohms. All i did was Change the sub, box, and…

  16. I have bought a few brands of car audio cable over the past few years & looked at many others online during research but I finally decided to venture out & pick up some welding cable for the 1st time at 2.00 per foot I found it hard to resist. I bought some electron beam technologies eb flex 2/0 welding cable I have to say I am pretty happy with it so far but is 2/0 we will see how fun working with its hope I don't have to cram it into any 1/0 terminals or inputs cause I thought Knu kolossus was a little hard to fit into some 1/0 inputs. I have only used 4 brands of 1/0 wire and those are Knu Konceptz kolossus 1/0, Audio technix 1/0, & phoenix gold power flex …

  17. Okay, so at this point I'm sure you're wondering "Who the hell is 93rd Audio?" and "What the hell is a TCH12D2?". I'd be glad to answer that. 93rd Audio is an up and coming company started by a member of the IAK family. The TCH series subs are the first series of subs to be released. They are built here in the USA, it has a 2.5" coil and will have a 600 WRMS power rating. I was asked by good 'ol Porkchop if I would be interested in testing the prototype for this new company and line of subs. No matter what the deal was I wasn't going to pass up a great opportunity such as this so I agreed and he put the owner in contact with me. I was supposed to have a fair bit…

  19. Was looking for something to provide me a little thump at home during those times of cleaning or taking a shower. haha. But I do believe I find a great product you guys should check out. And for 35$, I don't think you can go wrong. These things sound amazing! I don't these have the extreme loudness you may find at walmart or something, but they defiantly have some SQ to them! That's for sure. Super clarity, nice response, and some well blended bass to go with them! You can even attach a usb or sd card in the rear for added flexibility! Here are some pics. And here is the video All pictures were taken with the HTC ONE on HDR mode.

  20. Hey guys! I recently picked up a KMH 8 from DAD to see what the hype was all about. Overall I found this subwoofer to have quite the level response and to have the ability to handle quite a large amount of power. It also comes in at a great price point that can't be beat. I will let the video do the talking!

Here I will finally submit my review for the products I have purchased thus far. I will list pros and cons for each with my most unbiased opinion. SSA ICON This was my first sub woofer purchased from SSA. I bought it used from Sean DeYoung with the AQ1200 to power it. It was in a box I believe that was 4cuft tuned to 32hz. The Sound Quality from this sub woofer was really amazing. To give it a better explanation it had a very distinct sound to it. It was very sharp, and accurate, like pin point accuracy and very quick/sharp. I believe that was its best attribute. But it was also really loud. With some early testing, I was able to do a 141 at the headrest off of a 3…

  23. Here we go, as I give the Sundown Audio SD-2 8" subwoofer the once over. This will be a three part series starting with pics and notes regarding shipping and construction. Secondly will be an install overview with pics. Lastly, I'll wrap things up with a listening review. Lets start off with some pics: How they arrive. Out of the box, and striking a pose. A little shout out. And lastly some interesting angles. Each sub come in double boxed in an exceptional styrofoam container. The sub is well supported and ready for the worst of shipping mishandling. A+ The woofer is well build. All glue joints are strong with a proper and complete bond. I took a closer …

  24. As you guys well know car audio is an ever changing hobby. You may decide to add an amp to your install, or a secondary battery, and there is nothing more frustrating than having to completely re-do your install just to add an additional electrical component. If you take the time to make fiberglass bezels or beauty panels for your wire distribution the thought of making a change to that distribution is terrifying, as you would then have to redo all of your work. Well now these worries are a thing of the past! Check out my video review of the Knukonceptz KNF60 distribution block. If you would like an additional product reviewed in the future let me know!
