hi, i was wondering if a sax 100.4 could withstand 1.33 ohms or 2 ohms in bridged stereo mode. my plan was to initially run 4 sets of components off each channel, but due to space limitations that i've decided i can't be bothered worrying about and the fact that the speakers will be underpowered i've decided to run 3 sets. if 1.33 will kill it, will 2 ohms be ok? the manual says to use 4 ohms in bridged stereo mode but my current amplifiers are cheapies off ebay which are running 2 ohms in bridged stereo and haven't had any problems. thanks

i have two 10" pioneer TS-W251R subwoofers in a vented box in my car and right now this kid i know gave me a prehistoric amp for me to use while i look for a new one. Do I fit the power and negative cables in and take my voltage meter to the speaker out lets? I cant remember I want to test it with the stock alt wire and ground and see if I can get more power from doing the Big 3. Im sure you will suggest to use it but I want to know how much a difference it made on my truck and post up the results. Mine is a 2500hd duramax so I know I have a higher amp Alt. I bought a Boss audio blx 3500m amp about a year ago when i knew nothing about car audio and just tried to buy the cheapest amp i could find. I've read that boss audio products aren't that good. Is this true and does this reputation also go with this amp. I'm just wondering because i had it hooked up to a Boston Acoustics g5 12" single 4 ohm and the sub made a funky slapping sound (not tinsel lead slap, those are fine) that i could just not live with. Could this be a problem with the amp.

Hey guys, going to be replacing my "200a" alternator, why, because well, I just found out that it reaches it's peak at 5000rpm..lmao Anyways, new system will be ~2500RMS with a total of 260a's of fuses. 200 (mono) + 60 (2chan) What size alternator should I be looking at, would a 200a that reaches peak @ 1500rpm be OK? Or should I go bigger?

Ok so my friend needed an amp so i sold him my mrp-m850. And now im ampless but now i have an excuse for a lil upgrade. As u know the SSD12 is 800 rms. I'll have it in a sealed enclosure (1 SSD12) and im looking for a good bang for the buck amp around 200-250 max. I loved my alpine had no problems with it so i was looking at a alpine mrp-m1000 and their in my price range. Ohh and i only need it to run 2 ohms. U guys like that or noo. Suggestions please. Last weekend I hooked up a Rockford fosgate p400-4 to my jvc kd-r810 and everything was fine untill today. I went to a friends house and it worked fine but on my way back home the sound would just cut in and out when I turned the volume past 10... At first I thought it was my iPod cable but it does the same thing when I play CDs too. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Alright iv ran into a bit of a problem. I have two amps one a Kicker ZX350.4 which accepts 8 AWG wire and the other a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D which accepts 1/0 AWG. Im runing 0 AWG wire from the battery to my trunk, i cant find a dist. block that will work with these wires. any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an xs d3400 and plan on getting another, my problem lies that my altenator has a run of 1/0 to the vehicle fuse/power distribution then charges the batter only after passing through a 140 amp fuse that bridges the battery connection to the altenator charging wire. I plan on running a SS Da Vinci for a 2 way 6.5 system up front and some 5 inch rear fill, and an old school SS tarantula. I will be using BLT4's, will the 140 amp fuse be enough to charge the batteries without blowing, also thinking about taking advantage of a MS-8 processor. please help thank you, also i will have two runs of 1/0 from batt to batt and batt to amp.

Alright guys, I was helping my friend install a system in his HHR that he just got, and he wanted to keep the stock headunit. I don't know if the problem is because of the factory headunit not excepting the line out converter or what. The problem is that once we installed the line out converter to the proper wires the front 6 1/2's stopped working. We tapped the rear speakers for the line out converter. I did not solder the wires I don't think that is the problem though. The thing that is weird to me is that the tweeters still worked, the rear speakers still worked, and the sub and amp worked. I am using two of these from 2003 or 04. They are the silver heat sink with the blue light up logo. Here is my set up, I have 1 ea. dual 1 ohm woofers wired to 2 ohm on each amp. okay guys it sounds like a noob question which is probley is but im just trying to figure out what i am trying to see as a final impedence i have 2 woofers with .7 coils 1.) if i wire it in series/parallel does that mean i get my amps at .35 each and .7 total? or does each amp get .7 and 1.4 total? 2.) if i wire it in just series does that mean my amps each will see close to 1.4 ohm each? and 2.8 total? just getting lil confused on this any help please
