  1. Some guy on CL is selling one locally. 3x 4v pre outs. RCA input (with $5 cable from ebay) remote, ipod hookup, etc. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11105_Pioneer-Premier-DEH-P500UB.html It's also steering control ready which would be cool. I just need the panel for my steering wheel but I think it would be worth it. Also, I noticed I can either get this thing (Pioneer CD-RB20 -Use for Pass -Thru IP-Bus for MCD Player Connectiom) Or this. or this (Pioneer IP-Bus to RCA, 3.5mm) Is there any advantage of having the module vs the other ones? BTW I'm on the stock unit and all I need is a 3.5mm and 3x preouts.

  3. I just installed an avionixx 440.4 amp into my rsx and I am hearing 'static' distortion coming through all my speakers. The distortion, though slight, 'plays' along with each note of the song if that makes any sense to anyone. I was thinking of adding a noise suppressor but I am not sure if that would be another waste of money. I am begining to think perhaps the amp is a defect or just not up to snuff for the job (quality-wise). Here is what I have tried thus far: -Ensured secure ground to the vehicle chassis using 4 guage cable (same gauge as power line). -ran rca straight from the deck to the amp thus negating any possiblity the other rca's/speaker cables could be cau…

I am looking for a 4v preamp in dash dvd player. I have found a few nice kenwoods but they arent in dash dvds. I wanted a pioneer but it only has a 2v. Are there any solid 4v players that won't break the bank or am I just wasting my time looking?

  6. I had my front speakers running off of an old school Sony XM-2252HX, another one for the rear, and another for the subs...three in total. I decided to consolidate amps, and figured the Cadence F100-5 would be enough for my Image Dynamics CSX65CS components...christ was I wrong! Going from 225w down to 100w just isnt cutting it, my mid bass and highs are seriously suffering. I'm picking up a line driver tomorrow, as I have always needed one...I simply was able to crank up the gains more on the Sony's and get the desired outcome (factory headunit, spliced some rca's onto the line out). So, here is my question...I am desiring a 5-channel amp that is around 175-250rms on the …

  8. So I need some more power, I did my research and decided to go with Mechman, Called him up and can start by saying his customer service was top notch, hes very friendly and easy to talk to, answered every question I had for him. Heres some photos of the install. It was very straight forward and easy to install, I give the service and product a A+ and would reccomend it to anyone. Yes I know its dirty under the hood but I had no time to clean it so on with the photos =] Stock Alt removed the plastic engine cover Pulled the OEM Alt moved a couple things and the re-install starts another shot all back together and the test Once again I couldent be happier with the eas…

I have two giant bulldozer batteries in my barn, hold charge fine. All they say on them is Deka 8C12, 90 min, and extreme deep cycle. They are open cell with acid in them so that's why I'm worried. Would they work as secondary batteries in the back?

  11. I just installed a Kicker 10"sub enclosure/ZX400.1 amp and 4 Kenwood 6.5 component sets in my 2000 Trans am running them off the stock Monsoon amp. I have an older Pioneer GM-H120 amp sitting around collecting dust. Specs aren't that much at: 4 x 30W @ 4 ohms (0.05% THD) 4 x 45W @ 2 ohms (0.05% THD) 2 x 90W @ 4 ohms bridged (0.05% THD) Would it be worth the trouble to replace the Monsoon with this? Thanks in advance.

I turn on my car today, and I get nothing out of the front speakers except some buzzing, popping, and engine whine. Everything was perfect last night when I turned the car off. I'm driving an 08 Scion tC, JVC KD-AHD69 head unit with a CV 400.4 amp running a pair of Diamond Audio D3's in the front, my rear speakers are powered by the head unit. I checked fuses, ground, power, and RCA's: they are all good. Here is a video I took of what the sound is, and the second is of the front speakers picking up the sound of my mirror as I adjust it. Any help anybody?

So in my next build I'm going to be running around 3500 watts probably a bc3500. For my current electrical setup i have a dc 270xp alt the big 3 and a d5100r in the front. Voltage @ idle is 15.2v. If i run 2 runs of ofc 0ga to a deka 9a31 in the back then one 2ft run of 0ga from the batt to amp is it going to be enough to to keep me above 13v for the most part or will i need a second 9a31 in the back. I plan on getting a second one later on anyway but would it be necessary? Thanks.

Here's what I want: single din MP3/WMA Bluetooth USB 3 sets pre outs In the past I was always partial to Nakamichi but no Nakamichi head unit has the options I'm looking for. I used to have a Pioneer 8600 and it was great so I could say I'm a Pioneer fan as well. I've been looking around, kind of leaning towards a Pioneer Premier 610BT, a Pioneer 1610BT or an Eclipse CD5030 or an Eclipse CD3200. Any personal preferences out of these or could I look at some others? I'd like to stay under $250 if possible.

So I dont know if I will need an alternator, at least I hope not. However, if I did I dont think it is possible to find an aftermarket one for the 4.2L as it is not a very common engine in the f150...anyone have any ideas (I would not be able to afford an alternator for a long time anyways, might have a new truck by then anyways...)

  24. i was hoping M5 (or someone else) might know of a place locally that does a mix of electrical work. i had a customer drop off a large LED sign board that runs off 220V mains with seriesed 110V inverters into about 88 separate micro controller boards that run off 24/12/5.6V and control small segments of RGB led's. the panel blows breakers upon power up. its beyond the scope of work that we do at my shop and wanted to give the customer and idea of maybe where to go.
