Does anyone have an info for me on a replacement gain knob for the audiopipe 1500 amp's? Up till today this amp has been great but it seems the wires inside have came loose and im not the type to bust it open and put it back together.. This isnt my amp its in a good friends car. I have sent emails to the company with no response. Any suggestions? the knob plugs in with a "headphone" looking jack, not the phone cable looking one.

I have a Arc Audio SE-2150se, and I have it in mono mode, running at 2 ohms to my fully loaded, D1 18'' fi btl. Everything works fine, but I wanted to turn it up this past weekend to show of to my friends, so when I turn up the amp, from 1/4, to 3/4, it sounded much louder. But when I turn it up, the protect mode light will flicker red, just for when the bass drop, now I know this can't be good. It goes back green, but when ever the bass drops, a big one, it will just flicker red for that one second. Can any body tell me why this is, and is it safe to play it that loud? Not daily, I'm not stupid, but whenever I want to show off for a song or two, can I or should I play it…

  6. at the moment i have a hifonics brutus bxi-1210D. I recently saw on the ssa store front page the saz-1000D and also heard the sundown amps are rated at 12v which is awesome for me because I still have not upgraded my electrical, i will be just havent yet. My question is, will it be worth it to sell my amp for another that does around the same power? Isnt the sundown just a better all around amp? I just think its a little flashy and funny lookin haha.. Good amp dont get me wrong but I want an amp with 0gauge inputs kinda. I am running one fully loaded bl 15" and i think the saz would just be a better match.. does anyone know if the saz1000D has a bass knob? you know like t…

Hey guys, I'm buying an Alpine IVA-D310 and I'm hoping to get a nice 3-way active setup going. I found the h/u for a good price lightly used, not really willing to spend the 500+ I have on past h/u's. a I was trying to find an Alpine PXA-H701 but I can't find one so maybe someone could suggest a comparable eq that could be controlled with the touch screen? Also I just want to make sure this is a good unit for my situation. As far as the 3-way active setup, I have an older eclipse ea4000, but I'm willing to sell to get another 4 channel and a 2 channel, or just add another 2 channel. I do want the amps to match though so suggestions would be great. I'm on a budget at the m…

I just recently purchased a Sundown SAZ 1500d amp and I was lookin thru the manual and I noticed something in it that if I'm running 1 sub that I should run the -wire to the positive and the +wire from the sub to the negative terminal on the amp for the speakers. Is this a error or this is the way I'm supposed to do it ?

I sold my old HU to a buddy the other day, so I went to wal mart for a quick fix and bought a 100$ JVC something-or-other to replace it. I wired the ground, the 12v, and the ignition, and nothing happens when I turn the key. I didn't wire any of the speakers, for I am just running RCA's to an external amp to power my mids and highs. I've checked all fuses, including the one in the HU itself, and re-wired everything just to be sure. After that didn't work, I took it back to wal-mart to replace it, and when I wired the new one up, still nothing, so I know it's not a problem with the HU itself.. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

  10. I have an alpine 9886 and pxa-h100 crossover. I've looked through the menus and don't see a bandpass option for an active mid range woofer. I looked around the Internet and didn't see anyone running active with this setup. Did I just not find what I was looking for? Or is it not capable? If it's not then pioneer p880prs here I come. Right now I'm using the passive crossovers with my focal 165a1's woofers in the stock location low in the doors and the tweeters mounted low on the pillars. And powering them with an alpine mrp-f250.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the forum, I've been lurking for awhile trying to learn as much as I can. Anyways, I've had a 15" Memphis sub and a Memphis Power Reference P200.2 two channel amp for awhile. Lately my sub started to sound like it was fixing to go. I found someone selling two Memphis 12s in a box on Craigslist. I went and met the guy and hooked up the speakers, and they sounded good, so I paid the guy and started to get on my way. The speaker wires this guy had for the 12s were crimped and part of the metal was exposed. I went to push the box the rest of the way into my Explorer, and like an idiot, I let the exposed metal on the speaker wires make contact. Smok…

Lets start things off with the most info I can give. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 ST. It is a single cab 2wd with the V6 3.7L. The alternator is a 136 amp. The voltage regulator is built into the PCM. Now I am running a Soundstream PCX1500d and will be pulling the full rms (of 1500) during competition. I have a single run of 2/0 from front to back with 2 shuriken sk-bt60 batts under the hood. I am getting ready to do the big 3 any day. My current voltage is 13.8-14.1 on a normal day. When it is cold it will run 14.4. I want to increase my voltage to 15v. Now here is what I am currently investigating. I am in search of a wire diagram to find the feed signal from the alt to…

I was wondering if my Hifonics Brutus BXi 1610D amp can handle 18v? and if so how will it affect its sound and output? I have a 58amp continuous output switching power supply that I just bought to power it in the house, of course i'm not expecting full power, but I was just wondering how well it will handle that voltage and if it is to high the power supply is adjustable. But let me know ok, hopefully it will be better than my 12 volt 16 amp power supply that it is on right now.

I have done some searching around and have not found out what I'm looking for, I understand the calculation for volts on a DMM to set the gains properly. In my particular case, I have (2) Fi SSD's (800rms/each) and a Sundown SAE-1200vD2 (1200rms). Now what I have been seeing is everyone says to take the lesser of the two then do your calculations for proper volts on the DMM. So, would I use 1200 from the amp or 800 from (1) sub or 1600 for both subs?? Im guessing since my subs can handle 1600 combined, I would then use the 1200 from the amp, which would be 34.64v (dual 1 ohm subs and wired that way). Please clarify for me. Next question, I have several wiring diagrams for…

  24. Ok here is the deal, I have a 08zx750.1 mono kicker amp & unfortunately I sent it out to kicker because I was having problems with my amp cutting off and on, when I turned up my music @ high volume. so kicker repair center diagnosed it and told me that the pcb board was cracked so he gave me a deal of 2010 ZX 750.1 Brand New with 2 year manufacturer warranty for the price of $209.00 or to return my original amp back to me. I was wanting your in-put whether I should get that deal for that brand new 2010 Amp for $209.00 or should I just invest my money on another amp? The set up I have is a 12' inch L7 Kicker dvc 4ohm & I will not be upgrading to add more subwoofers…

Ok so my friend needed an amp so i sold him my mrp-m850. And now im ampless but now i have an excuse for a lil upgrade. As u know the SSD12 is 800 rms. I'll have it in a sealed enclosure (1 SSD12) and im looking for a good bang for the buck amp around 200-250 max. I loved my alpine had no problems with it so i was looking at a alpine mrp-m1000 and their in my price range. Ohh and i only need it to run 2 ohms. U guys like that or noo. Suggestions please. Thanks, Vince
