  1. Good Sunday everybody, its been awhile since I was last on here. Ive decided I wanted to get back into car audio, and I seen a deal on eBay hard to pass up. As Pioneer is loading out their "NEX" generation headunits it appears the older models are going for a good price. So I picked up a AVH-X5600BHS for my 2010 Dodge Challenger RT (with Boston Acoustic factory installed). I'm not very car audio inclined, so apologizes in advance if I sound off when describing my problem, or whats going on. Friday I got everything in mail from online purchases, all brand new. I got the PAC RP4-CH11 wiring w/ interface, a AVH-X5600BHS Pioneer Double Din, Aftermarket Harness + Antenna. …

  2. SSA I am looking for a 4 channel amplifier to power a pair of components so that I can add rear deck speaker or go active at a later time. The two main amps I am looking at are the SKAR Audio LP-80.4 and RE Audio USX-4250. Is there any knowledge of if these amps put out what they are rated at in clean power? Are there better amps for around $175? Thanks, hayestc

i am trying to decide whether to purchase a Rockford t1500-1bdCP or an AudioQue AQ2200.1D amplifier. for me the rockford would be $130 more, and i was just wondering if that is worth it or if i should stick with the AudioQue and have more power. and how much difference does the constant power technology make in the Rockford? a comparison of the two amps would be nice.

Phoenix Gold was dying a slow death under Rodin owner ship. AAMP of America recently bought PG, and a few old PG employee's are back to bring it back to where it once was. Here are a few pictures I found on the Phorum of the new entry level line of amps: I dig them. There are plans for a high end line and bigger power then the last few generations of amplifiers that were watered down for the Best Buy masses.

Alright guys. Here is the deal. I have been looking at amps and i honestly am looking at the new apx3500's. They seem good but i haven't heard much about them. I checked a lot of forums but most of them just talk about how they hope the new apx's are as good as the ap's. Now when i hear that, i ask myself, what exactly is the difference between the two? Right now i have 2 18 inch DC level 4's with level 5 soft parts and i know that 2 3500's is too much to push them with but i am going to upgrade to some SSA zcons. If anyone has any comments to this that would be awesome! I have looked around and i am not just asking because i am too lazy to try and find the answer myself,…

  6. Gents, I'm thinking of selling my Crescendo BC2Ks and going to a Stetsom 6K5ES 2ohm version. I like that it will do gobs of power (7200 watts) on 13.8 volts. I usually do about 14.3/5 on my HO alt. I have dual runs of power/ground ran, 3 XS power D3400 batts, and the big 3 done. I think my electrical is close or near up to par to support it. My questions mainly regard reliability. If I get the 6K would I be safe running it full tilt? I read these things don't like voltage over 14.9/15 volts so I'd like to think I'm relatively ok there. Just looking for any input/suggestions. Thanks all Also Aaron do you have these in stock? Shoot me a PM por favor.

Just curious if anyone on here has any experience running this amp or any of the C2 Audio amps? What were some things you liked or disliked about the amp? I currently have a Crescendo Symphony 1500.1 which will be powering a DSS Ethos 15" when it arrives, but I'm thinking about possibly selling the Crescendo and going with the C2 Audio Recon 1.6.

Holy f! I was just looking at the AQ1200D, and then I looked at the Digital Designs M1a, and they look almost exactly the same, here's what I'm talking about. DD M1a AQ1200D DD M1a AQ1200D The only difference I see, is there is no remote connection on the DD M1a, but everything else is exactly the same, and it's all in the exact same place. What do you guys think?

So I need to buy a battery for my 2012 Fusion. I wanted to buy the XS XP3000 but I came across these batts on ****. I can get 2 of these for the price of 1 XP3000. Which would you guys choose? The Discovers are 2.5 years old they say but are in excellent working order. I have a 150A alt in it already. I have 2 Crescendo BC2000s and a kicker ZR1000 (which wont be used past like 200 rms). http://www.****/forum/wiring-electrical-other-installation-equipment/140850-7-discover-g31-ups-batteries.html This is the thread for them. Please check it out and let me know what I should do.

I set my sub amp gains with my hu eq flat. It sounds ok, but I seem to be wanting a little more. Is it bad or potentially harmful to tune the eq on my head unit with the amp gains set as is, or is it wise to reset the gains after messing with the eq? I learned my lesson the hard way about bass boost by frying my last sub. My sub and amp are matched as far as RMS goes, so I dont want to take any chances and risk damaging my sub. Advice? And how reliable/accurate is the clipping light on an amp sub remote?

I need to cross my tweets around 4k hz, mid range around 500-4000 and midbass around 50-1500 Not exactly sure on the crossover points yet, but its a rough idea of what i'd start with before I get into fine tuning it. I'm either going to use sundown SAX 100.4 for the tweets and mid range and SAX 125.2 for the midbass drivers WITHOUT AN EXTERNAL PROCESSOR, or buy cheaper amps without the crossover features and get an external processing unit with crossovers on it. Which do you guys think is a better option? any suggestions on cheaper, quality amps that lack the crossover features (maybe I'll go for 3 sax 50.4's and bridge each of them ) Any suggestions on a budget processo…

So thanksgiving is coming soon which means no school for us who are still in it! Which for me means being bored out of my mind. I also just so happen to have 500 blue LED's handy. Out of all the things i could do with them, i decided to see what it would be like to put a bunch of them in the back of my explorer! For getting power to them, i was thinking about wiring them up in groups of series and then connecting them directly to the speaker wire input on the SAZ-3000d. Since i don't know nearly enough about that, i was curious as to whether that's a good idea or not (whether it will break something or not!). So the idea is that when the bass is really loud, the amp produ…

I normally like to try to figure things out by my own but I'm not sure how to solve this problem. My front speakers are making high frequency noises that get higher as my RPM increases ever since installing a different amplifier. This is what I've done to try to isolate the problem/ information that may help: 1) Amplifier = JBL gtq200 2) speakers = Boston Acoustic pro60se 3) Before putting the speakers on the JBL, they worked fine for months. 4) I used the same set of RCA's on both the JBL and my other speaker amp (Pioneer). The Pioneer did not recreate the whine. 5) Also used a different set of RCA's on the JBL which did nothing to lessen the whine. 6) More gain on amp =…

  21. I was looking at Powerbastard's alternators, and they don't have a direct fit for my 1991 Acura Integra....but.... they link me directly to the Fitzall 220+ Alt.... basically it's a universal HO alternator for imports..... I was looking at it, and the bottom foot doesn't look as deep as my stock unit (just looks like I need to get a shorter forged bolt from a hardware store), but other than that looks like it would mount up fine.... they say it's 110A @ idle and full 220A @ 1,200RPM's.... 220A is great, considering a 91 Integra alternator, stock, is 30A ,lol.... I was wondering if anyone has any good feedback on the powerbastards??? I know everyone is gonna shout Iraggi o…
