Just ordered the alpine and i know i can not use video with my iphone 5 like an older iphone but i had an idea tho im not sure if it will work. What if i get the lighning digital av adapter from apple (HDMI for mirroring onto your tv) and then I get a HDMI to RCA adaptor and hook that up to the video in, sounds like it would work what do you guys think.

I bought 2 IDMAX 10" D4's CHEAP, was putting one in the wifes car and selling other but she wants to wait on her stereo. So I am putting both in my expedition. I have never had any ID subs and these are only ones I have heard. I listen to mostly Rock, metal, some country. I have read to do sealed mostly and some say ported. I was either going to run a sundown 1000 or alpine pdx 1000. Any suggestions on these? thanks

i am currently running a power bass XAX-2160FD 2ch x 100rms at 4 ohms and a percision power BK1300.1D that is 1300rms at 1 ohm. i have just the stock alternator which i believe is 70a. and also the stock battery. if i was going to buy a single battery or possibly 2 batterys what size should i get and what brand?

I am just curious since i always here people say that they notice a difference in sound at lower impedance, if 2 ohms will make a noticeable difference in my setup. I currently (and temporarily) am running an MTX 81000d which is rated at 1000w into 2 ohm load. I modified it to run at lower impedance but don't really plan on it. Do you think that there will be a major discernible difference between me running it at 2 or 4 ohms? Will it be as dramatic as an am with rated minimum impedance of 1 ohm running at 1 vs. 4. Just curious because where mine is rated at 2 minimum, i didn't know if it would have the same adverse effect as minimum impedance on something capable of lowe…

So my amp is 3500watts and my alt only puts out 90amps....so if i hook those up is my amp gonna draw as much power as it can, or does it only draw a certain amount of power depending on how much i turn up my subwoofer?......................................Actually i just took a look at my amp and their is a level control im guessing for the power of the amp,,,,,,,,,,,,so ill just adjust that,,,,but can anyone tell me what the max rms i should put out ????

i need an amp to push my 15" btl fully loaded dual 2ohm. i cant post in the fs/wtb section so i figured i would try to see what my options are this way. i am looking for something that is 2000w+ @1 ohm stable and not too power hungry. i have two yellow tops, 220 amp alt and all 0g wire (including "the big 3") i sit at about 14.4 volts with the truck at an idle and 3 viar compressors runnin. im lookin to spend about 350 shipped. if you think of any that might wok for me please post them up. not sure if i can buy one from anyone on here cause of my lack of post but if i can just send me a pm. thnx.

alrite ive got a set of the image dynamics idq 31 eq's and if anyone has ever dealt with these they probably know how to help me. the back of them has all liek XLR input and output jacks, except for 1 rca input and 1 rca output. the way i have had them hooked up for the past year (and yes i kno this is horibly wrong and totally killed my stereo imaging) is had the front l+r into a y cable and in to the eq then out and split it back into a l+r rca. and same with the back. It bugged the hell outta me and i do not want to run it like this so i was wondering if anyone can give me any input on all of the other jacks on the back or if anyone has any of the plugs or anything. ot…

I have an Orion 2500d and 2 Rl-p 15s ported to 31 hz in 5 cubes. Its really loud, but it seems like the subs arent really working that hard/moving that far. Like when I play low notes like Lil Scrappy "No Problems" my whole car shakes but when I watch the subs they barely move. I am running a stock alternator and I think that is a big problem because my amp isnt putting out anywhere near full power. Would a 160 amp alt. be enough or should I save for a 200 or 220 amp alt. I think Im going deaf too. How much improvement am I going to see with an alt.?

i been reading around and i just found out that my car has no remote turn on wire, But i have an aftermarket cd player. what color wire should tap into to run the amplifier remote wire?

sometime in the future i will be putting one hell of a ocmputer in my truck for MP3 sotrage only. there are 2 ins. Min and Line Level (same voltages as RCA) in. From what ive been hearing sometimes the impeadance of the line in is too low for most RCA ins. this causes a lot of distortion with the singal. However for my RCA's for hte moment i will probably end up getting one of thoes peaker level to line level converters untill Xmas when i can get a good 2din HU...lol i am so cheap. so my question is, because my head unit i used to seeing a 4ohm impeadance and the line level in is of s much higher impeadance will i have to worry about any distortion at all? im setting my…

i'm thinking of getting a second eD nine.1. they're 900 watts stable at 2 ohm, and 1200 at 1 ohm. if possible i'd like to run them both at one ohm, im pretty sure i have the electrical system for it. question is, if i wire a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub by itself to the amp its either at 4 or 2 ohms right? no way to get 1 ohm load from a single d4 woofer? could someone maybe give me a crash course in wiring? i think i would need d2 woofers to get 1 ohm from 1 speaker right?

First of all I used the forums' search feature and I did not find any topics under "impedance rise". I currently am powering my XCON with a Crescendo 3kwp. I set the amplifier gain and ssf with my dvm. My XCON is wired for 1 ohm. With a little math my wrms output of my 3kwp should be around 1750 using -3db test tones ranging from 32-60hz. So here is my thoughts on impedence rise. I used a dvm and test tones to set my amplifier gain. This does not take into account any impedance rise between the narrow band of frequencies that my XCON plays. How would you figure this out? Ac/dc / ac/dc? Running a mmats D300hc in a 2 cu. Sealed enclosure. Not supposed to run the mmats below 1 for daily driving, so want to know how I'm doing so, is this the cheater amp its made to be? Drawing lots of current lol, voltage drop. Don't want to dmg the amp, rewiring it to 4 and making a larger ported I guess.

Would lets just say 1000 watts on 2 ohms be the same electrical strain as 1000 watts on 1 ohm?

So hoping others with more knowledge then I, could help clear up the wondering of my mind... What are the benifits of a person running a daily, (non-competitive) sub stage at 4 ohm compared to 1 ohm? Well, i just spent the last few days researchin this myth of Iraggi alts and kinetik batts dont go together... That sounds stupid, i know, but people have problems so i decided to try and find the answer. i have been trying to decide between these for a while. since i'm new here i thought i'd see what you guys perfer. 1)pioneer avic d3 - almost bought this one. i like pioneer, love how it looks, don't care about the single slot since i don't care about nav. the 2v preout thing killed it though. 2)eclipe avn5510 - the only thing that keeps me from buying this is thinking i can get something just as good for cheaper. 3)jvc kw-avx800 - the underdog. features look great, don't care about nav, the price is right. but its a jvc... thoughts/suggestions?

I'm working my Audioque 4x90 to death. I need a big 2 channel to temporarily run my 2 SA-12's. The only thing I come across that really catches my interest are Rockford's. The New P500-2, older P550.2 and T3002 are serious dopeness. I'm not worried about a subsonic because they're sealed for the time being. I don't mind not being able to give them 750-800 per but I do want to give them atleast 250 each. I was looking at the Sundown 125.2 but I don't know just how much it does at 4ohm bridged.
