Hi guys, I need some feedback on linedrivers for spl. Some say that linedrivers kill subs and some thinks it makes you louder do to up to 13v outs?

Hey guys, My SAZ-3000d came in ups last night but I got off at like 10pm so I will be installing it today, I am at the dentist now but will be putting it in when I get home and need help.. I forgot how I had the settings on my SAZ-1200... so How do I set things on here, Ill list ones I dont know Rofl. ( I will set bass boost on OFF obv. And ill set the Gain with my DMM with 50hz tone ) Now.. What should Subsonic filter be set to? Its from 10~60hz What should LPF be?... 35hz~300hz? And Phase?.. 0~180? im doing the big 3 with 2 gage but should i ren the - from the batt to stock ground or to a better spot?

hi im going to another comp on the 1st (sunday). ive been running this amp @ 2ohms with my 4 12's. the ams specs are: 1100@4ohm 1800@2ohm 2300@1ohm 3000@ MAX well n e way, i was thinking bout running all 4 12's down to .5ohms. how long do u think i would have b4 the amp went into protection or overheated? i called up PA and they said that they never tested it at .5ohms. thanks.

ok noob here and i was thinking i should get a yellow top under the hood, do the big 3, and get a kinetic hc2000. now my question is do i neeed the second batt? i heard that a second batt isnt neccesary if you wont play music with your car off. the yellow top under the hood and big 3 are going to be done for sure though. oh and one more question how many ft of 1/0 wire would i need to do the big 3. i have a 00' honda accord coupe. alternator will be done soon need help on that too but dont want to spend more than 400 on one?

i just thought about it, is 500watts woth 50bux? the bx is only 235$ and the PA is 299$ diffrence is about 500watts giv or take. which one? or just found it the Viper D2500.1 for 355$

what are the benefits of using ur subwoofers on a external crossover? is there any difference from using a subsonic filter. running subs @ 35hz.

i unplugged my sub yesterday and noticed that running my mids/high amps cause my lights to dimm very slightly when bass hits. when an amp draws power it is producing a spike draw on the entire vehicles system wich it is not designed for as there really is nothing else on a car that will pull such a bust draw outside of cranking. how common is it to see a slight dimming of lights on audio installs? i ask because to me it seems that with 2 large batteries and a HO alt i would expect not to see any dimming regardless of volume level. now the wiring is good and i am certain that all my grounds/contacts are properly terminated. i am looking more into this as I am planing to …

Here it is..... I have a Defeat ON/OFF switch. If I have the Defeat switch ON the nulls all my setting on the HU correct. I want to bea able to use my Draconia crossover points and play with my EQ on the HU. If I set my HU to Defeat OFF, and set the crossover HP crossover points lower than the settings on my amp and my LP point higher than what I'm running, can I take advantage of my crossover points on the amps and still be able to use my para EQ? Example: HU crossover is set at 20hz HP and my amp is set at 60hz, do I get the 60hz crossover point?

Hi, I am selling my 4 channels Boston amp. I can make a good deal with it, and I don't use rear speakers no more ! I need a small (in size) 2 ch amp to power my Focal 165 KP. I need about 2 * 100 watts rms or even less, and my head unit is good enough, so I don't need lots of features on the amp. The problem is the budget : I want a really cheap amp! But I want a brand new one. The Sundown 125.2 would be good, and would match the sub amp (a saz1000), but I would like it cheaper. Went out to my truck and followed the directions verbatim. Set my multimeter to read AC voltage, threw the 50hz tone up on the deck, and checked the voltage at the speaker terminals on my amp. I got nowhere near 30v, only 5.6v to start. Mind you, the gain level was at 3/4 at this point. What am I doing wrong?

I have a 2009 Ford Escape with factory sirius installed. My question is i have my Alpine CDA-9887 from my 05 escape that i'm putting in and want to know if i need anything else to get sirius through my alpine besides the KCA-SC100 Sirius Satellite Radio Plug and Play Interface.? Does the factory installed sirius unit plug into the kca-sc100? Do i have to buy anything else??

Hey guys, new to the forum. I'm working on a project right now, and I'm in need of some information on relays. From what I have seen, though i may be wrong, a generic relay that can just handle, say, .3-2v, is not suitable for line level audio because of signal degredation. Is this true, and if so, are there any relays out there that can handle line level audio without perceptable loss in quality? What I'm looking to set up is an add-on to my OnStar interface. I want to set up a 6-channel relay interface box with a two-channel input from the OnStar interface and a 6-channel input from my headunit, then 6-channel output going to the amps. Ok, yesterday, I rearranged some things behind my head unit, which was working fine. I put everything back and the HU was working fine. After putting my dash back together I was planning on going to my friends apartment, but when I go to turn on the headlights a fuse blows and my dash lights cut out. I try replacing the fuse and when it blows again I check a few things and say screw it and go inside. CD player still works fine. Today I test things out better. I figured out that when the HU was not wired up the problem does not exist. When I plug the HU back in the fuse blows and such. As a matther of fact the voltage at the battery (all wires still connected) I get 56volt…

Okay guys, i have a Fi 15" BTL with cooling, 3rd magnet, and hixmax coil with the dual 2 ohm. its the in a 6.5 foot ported enclosure, only 5 feet though after port and sub displacement. Its tuned to 39 Hz and is 1" all the way around with a 1.75" front face. Its also got internal bracing so im not worried about the sub blowing apart the box in any means. I am looking to spend around $500 at the most on an monoblock. I was looking at the hifonics BXi2607d which is 2600 RMS at 1 ohm, but i keep hearing bad things about hifonics and not so sure if i want to go that route anymore. Im gonna order a ho alt for my 08 yukon but i wont have the $$ for batts till june..my stock alt craped out so i need the ho on there to run the truck. My question is if its ok to only have one battery? I wont fry it? Im buying a 300a+ alt.
