Is the JL Audio A4300 amp a good match with 4 Infinity Reference 6822cf speakers? I got the speakers for free and just wanted a good cheap amp to power them to their full potential. Also is there something else you would recommend for these speakers instead? I was going to by the RF 3sixty.3 today, then noticed a JL clean sweep. From what I can gather the JL simply converts the signal, from a OEM head unit, to a flat signal then outputs to an amplifier. The RF360.3 will convert the signal, from a OEM head unit, to a user defined signal via the EQ functionality then outputs to an amplifier. If I purchase a RF360.3 how likely am I to give my amp, SAX100.4, a flat response? If I purchase a JL clean how likely am I to make that signal something other then flat? In other words for me, a person who doesn't compete but enjoys good quality, would I be better off with a JL or an RF? Also from what I have read, if I change the EQ…

I'm getting some 8 gauge wire for speaker wire for my BL 15 that's coming, and my friend's dad, (who is an electrician), said that there were some rather flexible jumper cables available at Menard's that would suit my needs. Now I've always been told wire is wire and copper is copper, but some of the 4 gauge welding wire I was looking at is rated for 90 amps and these cables are rated for 400 amps... I'm serious, it says right on the package 400 amps for these 8 gauge cables... Is that O.K? I'm pretty new to this electrical voodoo, so if anyone could say ya or ney it would be greatly appreciated.

i was wondering if i could run a small jumper wire from the power input on my amp to the rem? something happened in my headunit and the rem doesnt work ive tried rewiring it and wiring it to different wires and my old amp had different settings for turn on so i was fine there. just wondering if i can run a jumper wire from positive to the rem

Hey guyz, i heard 2 pops about 2 seconds apart then hit play on my iphone and silence. Ive had 2 different amps on my door speakers. ONe was an alpline mrp300.4 or something like that and now i have phoenix gold octane 9.0.1. both are 5 channel and i used only the 4 channels for my door speakers. I have pioneer 5800mp headunit, the pico fuse is blown so i catch a goodbit of alt whine and noise. which leads me to think that has something to do with the amps blowing? Could that have an effect on the amp if the fuse is blown? I checked all fuses and connections. It wasnt playin music when it happened either, which is weird to me. Please help me fix what im doing wro…

It has 4 gauge inputs... I know its not a huge deal but I wanted to use 0 gauge with it. I know stinger makes 4 gauge to 0 gauge adapters but the way the inputs are on the amp those adapters won't work. Would it be ok to just trim the 0 gauge down or should I just get a 4 gauge amp kit?

Ok so I have a 2005 mazda 3. After putting in a saz-1000D and a JL 300/2 (just ordered my sax100.4 which will replace the JL), my electrical couldn't handle it. So I decided to do the big 3 as it is the cheapest route. Well I just finished. And I think there was an improvement but not like I thought it would be. Now when my bass hits my voltage drops from 14.4 to 13.8 sometimes 12.8. This is with the car on and idling. And my lights still dim but not that bad as it used to. My car has a 90 amp alt. Upgraded to big 3 now. So my next step is getting a kinetik or XS battery for the rear to see if this makes an improvement. After I do the battery in the rear I plan on doing…

Got 320 amp mechman now need advice on wiring and what type of lithium battery setup to get, wanting to run about 4-5k RMS total and hold voltage. I've read that I should run a regular lead battery with a lithium, never done a lithium setup before and need advice, all help appreciated really excited about this build!

i have two fi ssd 15's running at 600rms each on a pheonix gold 1200.1 and it just isnt pounding enough for me i wanted to give the fi's a little more so i was looking for a new amp. i wanted to give them anywhere from 800-1000 each. i came across an amazing deal and got a brand new opti4000d which retails for about $900-1200 and i got it for $300. i just couldnt pass it up.. i know there are mixed opinions on the opti's but for the most part i hear they are decent. now heres the question.. 3000 watts at 2 ohms is too much to give to my ssd's. what do you think i should do? im totally down for new subs.. or i can sell the opti and make like $500 for a new amp. i love the…

I just bought a new mtx ta7801 well I traded 2 R.F. P1's forit but anyway anyone no of any problems with these amps it sounds nice and clean the birth sheet says it puts out 1732w at 1 ohm. Just wanted your guys opinion onit I've never been a big fan of MTX so idk anything about them.

Well I just got my battery from somebody on here that was selling them and I have to say I am pretty sure its no longer usable. The terminals are pushed in a good two inches and the plastic housing around them is pretty badly cracked. I can see the stuff inside of it as well. I just hooked up my equalizer and i taped into the head unit ground and power wire to power the eq and when i start my car i hear the engine noise ? how do i stop this?

Going to use it to power an RE audio 15" SE-X subwoofer. wondering did I make a mistake with this amp? Or are people saying good things about them still? For now, the sub will be seeing 2 cubic feet sealed, as I am currently in a budget crunch and don't want to shell the cash to build a different enclosure (this is also the reason for the amp choice, was price point).

Just ordered up my HO Alt from www.mechman.com =). This guy was referred to me by scottiej from powermaster and he has like every alt ya need and they are darn good prices. Got a 250 amp alt btw =). I guess they aren't like regular HO Alts that just get the windings replaced... they are actually like larger alts that fit into the stock locations and don't sag at low rpms like most HO's do. Well after much researching and debating, I ended up buying this headunit, and dont let the name brand fool you. From the information I gathered, this headunit is a beast and also a sleeper, has a crap load of features and rumored to have active capabilities. So I ordered it from Soniceletronix for $199 shipped, and it included the iPod adapter, installation accessories and free shipping. It has been out since the end of 06, and retail was $600!!!!! So on to the pics, plan on installing it this weekend, and I will do a full review and a video review And I had all Pioneers in the past, from the 580MP, to the 880PRS, and lastly the 780MP. I've had my KD-ADV6160 for about 2 years now, and havn't had any problems with it, it's a dvd player and in my last truck I did heavy offroading and could hardly skip it, and I mean getting all 4 tires 2 feet in the air and not having it skip when I landed... my buddy and I swear by these decks and I recommend them to anyone wanting a GOOD decent priced dvd player. their cd/mp3 players are equally good imo, my buddy had one in his F150 that he totaled for about a year, and never had a problem with it. when he ran over a ford focus with his truck, it skipped a little but went right back on and both cars were totaled, he went up over it lol. these are a good lasting deck im…
