  6. I just purchased two Boston Acoustic G512-44 12"s for $400 shipped in a closeout sale from Crutchfield. I'm a link! Their specs are... RMS Power Range: 100-450w (225w per voice coil) Peak Power Range: 900w Impedance: 4 ohms Sensitivity: 94.3 dB at 2.83 volts, 87.2 dB at 1 volt Frequency Response: 20 - 350 Hz Min. sealed box volume: 1.00 cu. ft. Min. ported box volume: 2.00 cu. ft. Mounting depth: 7-3/8" I picked these up because they're CHEAP & require a small enclosure; (I want to keep max trunk space.) ok so today me and my friend were taking out his back seat of his z71 to make a new box and he accidently moved his amp when we were pulling out his old box and there was a spark from the power and ground wires touching, so we moved them apart and didnt pay any attetion, but when we put the 15 back in and hooked it up his amp wouldnt come on, buyt the radio did, so we turned the truck off and re-connected the power and ground to make sure and now neither the amp or head unit will work, anyone might have an idea to what the hell is wrong with this thing, o and the head unit and amp arent using the same power wire, but they are connected with a remote wire

I recently bought a warden 21 and its a d1 so I would have to wire my crescendo bc2k to 2 ohms or .5 ohm. Itd be ridiculous to put 1100 rms to a warden haha but also I don't wanna run my amp at .5. So what I was thinkin is buying 2 amps and strapping them at 2 ohms. Should I buy another bc2k or sell mine and buy 2 used sundown saz1500s? Do you think theres a big difference between the two? My electric consist of big 3, deka 9a31 as second batt with all 0 gauge. I know I don't have the electrical for it full tilt but its a safer option so I would be running at at least 2500 rms I'm also in the process of getting a HO alt, possibly from singer. Please explain why you would …

So anyway, my brother owns a towing business/ Car parts yard (aka junk yard) ... And he acquires many things. So he acquired one of those industrial sized Optima Yellow tops and a Regular Optima yellow top. I am building my system and a battery was my next step. He gave them both to me, and I was wondering if I should keep them or sell them and put in a large Powermaster or something??? Both are brand new, still in the plastic rappers

Ok, yesterday, I rearranged some things behind my head unit, which was working fine. I put everything back and the HU was working fine. After putting my dash back together I was planning on going to my friends apartment, but when I go to turn on the headlights a fuse blows and my dash lights cut out. I try replacing the fuse and when it blows again I check a few things and say screw it and go inside. CD player still works fine. Today I test things out better. I figured out that when the HU was not wired up the problem does not exist. When I plug the HU back in the fuse blows and such. As a matther of fact the voltage at the battery (all wires still connected) I get 56volt…

My car came with an Alpine CDA-9835 and I want to get an Ipod adapter for it but every store I go in to find one tells me I should get a newer head unit so I can use the high speed Ipod crap. I don't really want to spend money on a new head unit but if it logically makes sence I will. Stores are quoting me around $150 for the ipod interface and they all finish with it would be better to get a new head unit for that much but I don't see why I would downgrade my head unit. My old car had a JVC-KDSH1000 head unit and I had the Ipod adapter for that which was pretty crappy but I just usualy throw my ipod on shuffle and drive. I will admit that finding a specific song was ext…

Hi. This is my second post and, if you read my first post, i'm sure you know I am not that great with the car audio stuff yet. But I am putting together a system, but I am going to stick with the Monsoon Head Unit that I have in my 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT. I was just wondering what could I buy that could add more RCA inputs/outputs for my system? I am going to need at least three or four pairs. Is there a product that is made just to hook up into your car to allow you to add more RCA jacks? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
