Im looking at this 220 amp alternator with an overdrive pully, anyone messed with this company? i called mechman and they wanted 499 for a 1995 chevy lumina 3.1l v6 alt but these guys at power bastards want 225 for the same thing. anyone messed with them?

just a quick question, is it possible for a amp to be "too cold"?

i check all my speakers all the wires nothing touching......nothing cut, when i turn the radio up i can still hear and feel the bass. and everything esle getts distorted so i don't know whats up ............the only thing i can think of is the radio is a peace of ///

whats up ssa i have a little problem i have two jl audio amps 500x1 mono there suppose to be hook on each sub i have 2 kicker l7 15 2ohm now my problem is im trying to strap them together i thought i follow all of the directions its just missin something feels like a lack of power now i did have these hook up not to long ago then i switch over to us amps which i love but i had to send one in for repair so i put the jls back in until my us comes back now keep in my mind everything is brand new so i dont know what i hook up wrong i need help bad because i miss my bass so if anyone has diagrams or knows how to hook these up propley i greatly appreciate it. thanks Mr crown

Hi Guys, I need a good head unit for spl, so what you got. I have a Alpine cda-7995 receiver rigth now, it is the one with no internal amplifier. It is good for SQ for sucks for SPL. So what will be a good head unit?

Is it possible to wire four 4 ohm dvc subs to a 2 channel amp, with each channel seeing 2 ohms? I have them running at four ohms, but can you use series and parallel wiring to create this load? If I set each sub in parallel wiring (+ to + and - to -, right?)and then run the - from one channel to one sub, the positive from that channel to the other sub, and a wire connecting the other + and - terminals from sub to sub, would this do it? Here's what I'm talking about. (pic may not work) Just hooked up these subs, but they sound distorted and just terrible, will they sound better after they break in, or just lower/louder? Hello all, am new to this forum and seeking help. I currently have a 850CCA battery under the hood and wanting your opinion on adding either the KHC 16V Power Cell or the KHC 2000 to my system. I was thinking that the 16V would supply the voltage to the amp to put out full power and do a good job supply power, while with the KHC 2000 i may still have the 13.8 volts that i currently have ( or not, am not sure) but will surely have the power needed to run the system. Ok, so I bought a HO alt for my taurus 2 weeks ago from a place called Quality Power Auto. The alt I bought was a 200 amp max and 125 amp at idle I paid just shy of 300 shipped to my house. I put the alt in the car today and well as the title would suggest I am VERY disappointed in the performance of this thing. First this thing has the voltage caped at 14.1 volt which is bull shit bc the stocker would do 14.4 solid in 90 degree heat in a traffic jam. At idle this alt would drop into the low 12's (like 12.1 to 12.0V) with nothing on but the head lights. It would not make all wopping 14.1 volts untill almost 3K rpm!!!!!! ok so im running two CVX 12" @ 2ohm currently running them on a Kicker ZX 750.1 amp I know i am underpowering these subs. I am hopeing to get a 1,600 or a 2,000 watt hifonics amp Now my Question is are the hifonics amp's really good ? i hear good things about them and will a 1600 watt push the two VCX's really well or would it be best to have the 2,000 watt amp. Would i regret getting the 1600. i like my current kicker amp But it pretty simple amp and most def not strong enough

I have an MTX Thunder 8100 mono amp that I bought new a while back and Im wondering what the REAL output of it is broken down by ohm load. Anybody ever used one of these? I had it on 2 HX2 12's but Im wondering how it would do on 2 SSA Icon 12's. Would it suffice?

I have been looking around at equalizers and was wondering how Epic 160s worked as one? I have heard they aren't very accurate for metering so is it even worth getting or am I better getting something like a Clarion 746?

I have seen linked amplifiers, when connected both 1ohm by 1ohm make 2ohm. But is it possible to connect it parallel so both make 1x1=0.5ohm load at the end? Thanks.

so I knew it was happening, and was in process of saving up for a custom valeo Ohio Generator alternator. current alty decided to crap on my today, so I need to order a new one this weekend. I don't have the 450 to dish out for the Ohio right now, and saw what seems to be a reputable company selling a 200 amp for 210 plus shipping on ebay. BNR alternators and starters? all of a suddened my voltage gauge went down 1 and i checked every fuse and i put the meter right on the alternator it read 14.1 same as the gauge any ideas what may of happened?

I plugged in my moto rokr on my head unit (pioneer 5100ub) & the unit started saying "check usb" now it keeps saying that for all my usb drives. I read the manual & it says that the device had a short circuit or something. Anyone ever had this problem before? How do I fix it.

i have a 350 A anl fuse less than a foot from my battery. i have noticed in alot of build logs peole have them alot closer to their subs. did i do something wrong or do they have 2 fuses?? Thank you Matt Cusack

so i have a us amps md1d amp hooked to a ten inch re audio sx. i had it wired to one ohm and a guy that i was talking to said i was probably pushing closer to 1400 watts instead of 1200 watts at 14 volts. is this true?

I'm looking for a amp for my Fi BTL 18(ordering next week) and I think a saz2000d and a BTL 18 would be a nice combo.
