Its a 2000 watt volfenhag amp. not sure of the exact model. i had it wired at 1 ohm, and from what i have read online the lowest it should be wired is 2 ohm. It started cutting off after 10 mins, then 5, then 2, then it stopped working. I took the cover off, to look for burnt pieces, but i found nothing. it all looked fine. now, what could cause this? can it be fixed cheaply? if not, could i repair a memphis pr 600 using this amps parts? im uploading pics now and yes, i know this is a POS amp, but currently im saving up to buy a fi btl then a sundown amp. ok, photobucket is being gay so ill get pics tomorrow.

i check all my speakers all the wires nothing touching......nothing cut, when i turn the radio up i can still hear and feel the bass. and everything esle getts distorted so i don't know whats up ............the only thing i can think of is the radio is a peace of ///

Hello all, am new to this forum and seeking help. I currently have a 850CCA battery under the hood and wanting your opinion on adding either the KHC 16V Power Cell or the KHC 2000 to my system. I was thinking that the 16V would supply the voltage to the amp to put out full power and do a good job supply power, while with the KHC 2000 i may still have the 13.8 volts that i currently have ( or not, am not sure) but will surely have the power needed to run the system. i have a 350 A anl fuse less than a foot from my battery. i have noticed in alot of build logs peole have them alot closer to their subs. did i do something wrong or do they have 2 fuses?? Thank you Matt Cusack

Ok, so I bought a HO alt for my taurus 2 weeks ago from a place called Quality Power Auto. The alt I bought was a 200 amp max and 125 amp at idle I paid just shy of 300 shipped to my house. I put the alt in the car today and well as the title would suggest I am VERY disappointed in the performance of this thing. First this thing has the voltage caped at 14.1 volt which is bull shit bc the stocker would do 14.4 solid in 90 degree heat in a traffic jam. At idle this alt would drop into the low 12's (like 12.1 to 12.0V) with nothing on but the head lights. It would not make all wopping 14.1 volts untill almost 3K rpm!!!!!! I have an MTX Thunder 8100 mono amp that I bought new a while back and Im wondering what the REAL output of it is broken down by ohm load. Anybody ever used one of these? I had it on 2 HX2 12's but Im wondering how it would do on 2 SSA Icon 12's. Would it suffice?

I have been looking around at equalizers and was wondering how Epic 160s worked as one? I have heard they aren't very accurate for metering so is it even worth getting or am I better getting something like a Clarion 746?

This will be going into my scion xb 08. Its going into the hatch area in the back. Question is would any of these batteries work for me. I have no experiance with batteries besides getting stock ones for replacement. I've read up on deka, xs, optima and all those. I have seen linked amplifiers, when connected both 1ohm by 1ohm make 2ohm. But is it possible to connect it parallel so both make 1x1=0.5ohm load at the end? Thanks.

ok so i have heard that i need to do the big three and not get a cap i have a few questions regarding this though i have a bmw and the battery is in the trunk, so do i still need to run the alt to batt wire with fuse? i mean stock is a 4 gauge and since stock is 4 gauge everywhere will the big three help at all? or do i just need to buy a new battery my car dims a lot with a small 300w system and i have a new battery and alternator everything is grounded correctly and i run 4 gauge and 16 for the subs Patrick

all of a suddened my voltage gauge went down 1 and i checked every fuse and i put the meter right on the alternator it read 14.1 same as the gauge any ideas what may of happened?

so im in class right now, and i cant focus cuz im so pissed off. all i have is a brutus 2608 on a Fi BL. running @ 2 ohms (rated 1700 rms). so heres what happened. im on my way to class, which is about a 20 minute drive. the music was on the whole time. probably going half tilt for the 1st half, then going hard for the last 10 mins. i have never encountered any problems with the amp in the past, so im very conused why it decided to shit out. im running a stock alt and battery, which i know is not enough for this amp, but thats what it is. i never properly set my gain, ive always just turned it down when i saw voltage drop or heard any clipping. back to the story, …

I plugged in my moto rokr on my head unit (pioneer 5100ub) & the unit started saying "check usb" now it keeps saying that for all my usb drives. I read the manual & it says that the device had a short circuit or something. Anyone ever had this problem before? How do I fix it.

so i have a us amps md1d amp hooked to a ten inch re audio sx. i had it wired to one ohm and a guy that i was talking to said i was probably pushing closer to 1400 watts instead of 1200 watts at 14 volts. is this true?

We came across a Crunch 1500 watt Power Zone amplifier, P1500.1. it will power up and play music.......... as long as there is some pressure on one of the adjustment knobs..... Take away the pressure and the music output stops. The "Low Pass" filter knob is missing , once the amp is opened up, you see that the whole little box has been removed. so first question is ; can I purchase and install this box ? like is that i DIY type project? second question ; is there any home remedies for the pressure issue? anothere DIY project. If need be, I will send it in and get it fixed, but was hoping to do it cheap, in house. thanks for the input, chop IAK
